미래 모빌리티 솔루션 기업 위플로가 5월 19일부터 22일까지 미국 휴스턴에서 열린 북미 무인항공기 전시회 ‘AUVSI Xponential 2025’에 참가했다. 위플로는 이번 행사에서 자사의 드론 자동 품질 검사 솔루션 ‘버티핏 QC(verti-Pit QC)’을 공개하며 국내외 산업 관계자들의 주목을 받았다.
항공안전기술원(KIAST) 공동관을 통해 참가한 위플로는 드론 제조 단계에서 적용 가능한 실시간 고장 모사 시뮬레이션을 시연했다. 이 솔루션은 비접촉 방식으로 드론의 상태를 자동 점검할 수 있어 검사 효율성과 정확성을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있는 기술로 평가받고 있다.
전시 기간 동안 위플로는 연간 수천 대 규모의 드론을 생산하거나 운영하는 글로벌 기업들과의 상담을 통해 자동화 품질 검사 기술에 대한 수요가 높다는 점을 확인했다. 특히 일본 최대 드론 제조사인 ACSL, 미국 대형 유틸리티 기업 Consolidated Edison Company, 글로벌 에너지 기업 Chevron Corporation 등 주요 산업 리더들과의 개별 미팅을 통해 제품 도입에 대한 논의가 구체적으로 이뤄졌다.
비접촉 방식이라는 기술적 차별점이 해외 참가자들에게 높은 관심을 끌었으며, 현장에서 PoC(개념검증) 및 기술 통합 가능성에 대한 논의도 진전된 것으로 알려졌다.
위플로는 이번 전시회 참가를 통해 확보한 파트너십 기회를 기반으로 글로벌 시장 확대와 제품 고도화를 본격화할 방침이다. 회사 측은 현장에서 수집한 고객 피드백을 제품 개선에 반영하고, 다양한 산업군에 맞는 맞춤형 기능 개발을 통해 경쟁력을 높여 나갈 계획이다.

The technical difference of the non-contact method has attracted great interest from overseas participants, and discussions on the possibility of PoC (proof of concept) and technology integration have also progressed on site.
Based on the partnership opportunities secured through participation in this exhibition, Whiplo plans to expand its global market and enhance its products in earnest.
