뇌 질환 진단∙치료 인공지능(AI) 전문기업 뉴로핏이 지난 29일 금융위원회에 증권신고서를 제출하고 본격적인 공모절차에 돌입한다고 밝혔다.
뉴로핏이 공모하는 주식수는 총 200만주로 희망 공모가 범위는 1만1400원~1만4000원, 총 공모금액은 228억원~280억원이다. 오는 7월 4일부터 10일까지 기관투자자 대상 수요예측을 실시한 뒤, 15일과 16일 이틀 동안 일반 청약을 진행할 예정이다. 상장 주관사는 미래에셋증권이다.
뉴로핏은 인공지능(AI) 기술 기반의 뇌 영상 분석 솔루션 및 치료 의료기기를 연구∙개발하는 전문기업이다. 광주과학기술원(GIST)에서 차세대 뉴로네비게이션 시스템을 개발한 빈준길, 김동현 뉴로핏 공동 대표가 함께 2016년에 창업했다.
뉴로핏 아쿠아를 비롯한 뉴로핏 스케일 펫, 뉴로핏 아쿠아 AD, 뉴로핏 테스랩 등을 개발함으로써 뇌 질환 진단부터 치료제 시장까지 비즈니스를 확장하고 있다. 이 가운데 뉴로핏 아쿠아 AD는 항 아밀로이드 항체 치료제 투약 과정에서 필요한 모든 뇌 영상 분석 기능을 제공한다. 레켐비, 키순라 등 알츠하이머병 치료제 시장이 개화하고 있어 신약 투약 적격성 및 뇌 미세출혈, 부종과 같은 부작용을 모니터링 할 수 있는 뉴로핏의 기술력이 업계에서 더욱 주목 받고 있다.
뉴로핏 관계자는 “해당 기술은 아직 개발 중인 알츠하이머병 치료제 임상시험에도 활용되고 있다”며, “영상 진단 뿐만 아니라 치료제 시장까지 다각도로 진입하고 있는 상황에서 임상시험을 진행 중인 치료제가 출시된다면 동반진단 영역으로 사업을 확장할 수 있을 것”이라고 설명했다.
빈준길 뉴로핏 공동대표는 “뉴로핏은 영상 진단뿐만 아니라 치료 분야까지 확장을 시작했고 더 나아가 신약을 개발하는 과정에 참여하는 등 다양한 비즈니스 모델을 기반으로 뇌질환 시장에서 본격적인 성과를 만들고 있다”며 “치료제 관련 뇌 영상 분석 기술이 주목받는 가운데, 글로벌 빅파마와 협업을 가속화해 해당 시장을 적극 공략할 계획”이라고 말했다.
