소프트웨어 교육 플랫폼 기업 구름은 네팔 카트만두 대학교(Kathmandu University, 이하 KU)와 글로벌 교육 협력 및 기술 혁신 가속화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 5월 27일 온라인으로 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 지난해 2월 6일 구름이 KU를 방문해 진행한 환영식 이후 추진됐다. 당시 KU의 컴퓨터공학 학장 Manish Pokharel과 수학과 교수 Binod Pant 등이 참석해 양 기관 간 교류에 대한 기대를 나타낸 바 있다.
양 기관은 이번 MOU를 통해 기술 기반 교육 솔루션 확산과 교육 기회 확대에 긴밀히 협력하기로 했다. KU는 구름의 대표 제품인 goormDEVTH, goormIDE, goormEDU, goormEXP에 대한 글로벌 테스트베드 역할을 맡으며, 학생과 교수진을 활용한 제품 평가 및 개선에 협력할 예정이다. 또한 KU는 인도 공과대학교(IIT 하이드라바드, IIT 마드라스 등)와의 국제 제휴 네트워크를 활용해 구름의 글로벌 파트너십 확장도 지원한다.
구름은 이번 협약을 아시아 교육 시장 진출 전략의 일환으로 추진 중이며, KU 학생들에게 코딩 테스트, 제품 사용 및 공동 프로그램 참여 기회를 제공해 실무 중심 학습 환경을 확대할 계획이다. 양 기관은 해커톤, 부트캠프 등 공동 행사를 개최해 네팔 및 남아시아 지역 개발자 생태계 활성화에도 기여할 예정이다.
구름의 곽경주 수석부사장은 “카트만두 대학교와의 협력을 시작으로 인도를 포함한 아시아 전역으로 사업 확장을 본격화할 것”이라며 “기술 기반 교육 혁신과 글로벌 파트너십 강화를 통해 국제 경쟁력을 높여 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Cloud, Nepal Kathmandu University Signs Business Agreement
Software education platform company Gurum announced on May 27 that it signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) online with Kathmandu University (KU) in Nepal to accelerate global education cooperation and technological innovation.
This agreement was promoted after the welcoming ceremony held by Gurum on February 6th last year. At the time, KU's Dean of Computer Science Manish Pokharel and Professor of Mathematics Binod Pant attended and expressed their expectations for exchanges between the two institutions.
Through this MOU, the two organizations agreed to closely cooperate in the expansion of technology-based education solutions and educational opportunities. KU will serve as a global testbed for Goorm’s representative products, goormDEVTH, goormIDE, goormEDU, and goormEXP, and will cooperate in product evaluation and improvement using students and faculty. KU will also support the expansion of Goorm’s global partnerships by utilizing its international partnership network with Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras, etc.).
Cloud is pursuing this agreement as part of its strategy to enter the Asian education market, and plans to expand the hands-on learning environment by providing KU students with opportunities to participate in coding tests, product use, and joint programs. The two organizations will also host joint events such as hackathons and boot camps to contribute to the revitalization of the developer ecosystem in Nepal and South Asia.
“Starting with our collaboration with Kathmandu University, we will begin to expand our business across Asia, including India,” said Kwak Kyung-joo, Senior Vice President of Cloud. “We will enhance our international competitiveness through technology-based education innovation and strengthening global partnerships.”

雲の郭慶州首席副社長は「カトマンズ大学との協力をはじめ、インドを含むアジア全域で事業拡大を本格化する」とし「技術基盤教育イノベーションとグローバルパートナーシップ強化を通じて国際競争力を高めていく」と話した。

软件教育平台公司Gurum于5月27日宣布，与尼泊尔加德满都大学（KU）在线签署了MOU（谅解备忘录），旨在加速全球教育合作和技术创新。

La société de plateforme éducative logicielle Gurum a annoncé le 27 mai avoir signé un protocole d'accord (MOU) en ligne avec l'Université de Katmandou (KU) au Népal pour accélérer la coopération mondiale en matière d'éducation et l'innovation technologique.
Cet accord a été promu après la cérémonie d'accueil organisée par Gurum le 6 février dernier. À cette occasion, Manish Pokharel, doyen de la faculté d'informatique de l'Université du Kansas, et Binod Pant, professeur de mathématiques, étaient présents et ont exprimé leurs attentes en matière d'échanges entre les deux institutions.
Par ce protocole d'accord, les deux organisations ont convenu de coopérer étroitement pour développer les solutions et les opportunités éducatives basées sur la technologie. KU servira de banc d'essai mondial pour les produits phares de Goorm, goormDEVTH, goormIDE, goormEDU et goormEXP, et collaborera à l'évaluation et à l'amélioration des produits avec les étudiants et les enseignants. KU soutiendra également le développement des partenariats mondiaux de Goorm en s'appuyant sur son réseau international de partenariats avec les instituts indiens de technologie (IIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras, etc.).
Cloud conclut cet accord dans le cadre de sa stratégie d'entrée sur le marché asiatique de l'éducation et prévoit d'élargir l'environnement d'apprentissage pratique en offrant aux étudiants de KU la possibilité de participer à des tests de codage, d'utiliser des produits et de participer à des programmes communs. Les deux organisations organiseront également des événements conjoints tels que des hackathons et des bootcamps afin de contribuer à la revitalisation de l'écosystème des développeurs au Népal et en Asie du Sud.
« À partir de notre collaboration avec l'Université de Katmandou, nous allons étendre nos activités en Asie, notamment en Inde », a déclaré Kwak Kyung-joo, vice-président senior du Cloud. « Nous renforcerons notre compétitivité internationale grâce à l'innovation pédagogique basée sur les technologies et au renforcement de nos partenariats mondiaux. »
