차세대 스마트 소방안전 시스템 전문기업 ㈜지에프아이가 대신밸런스제18호스팩과의 합병을 통한 코스닥 상장을 추진한다. 지에프아이는 6월 13일 한국거래소에 합병상장을 위한 예비심사 청구서를 제출했다고 16일 밝혔다. 이번 합병은 스팩 소멸 방식으로 진행되며, 상장 주관사는 대신증권이 맡는다.
지에프아이는 2014년 설립된 화재 안전 분야 제조 기술 기업으로, 세계 최초로 마이크로캡슐 방식의 소화기 ‘이지스(AEGIS)’를 개발한 바 있다. 해당 제품은 약제가 내장된 미세 캡슐이 특정 온도(100~120℃)에 도달하면 자동으로 터지며 소화약제를 분사해 화재 초기 단계에서 진압이 가능하다. 화재 감지기보다 빠르게 반응해 피해 확산을 막을 수 있다는 점이 특징이다.
회사는 마이크로캡슐 제조 기술을 비롯해 국내외 특허 18건을 보유하고 있으며, 자체 생산 설비를 통해 다양한 형태의 소화 제품을 양산 중이다. 이 기술을 기반으로 주요 배터리 제조사와 협력해 에너지저장장치(ESS) 화재 대응 시스템을 공동 개발 및 납품하고 있다.
2024년 기준 지에프아이는 매출 231억 원, 영업이익 40억 원을 기록했으며, 현재 중국, 일본, 미국 등 글로벌 시장을 대상으로 ESS 및 UPS(무정전 전원장치)용 화재 안전 제품 수출을 확대하고 있다. 향후 전기차 및 리튬인산철(LFP) 배터리 화재 대응 제품군으로 사업을 확장할 계획이다.
지에프아이 관계자는 “전원이나 별도 센서 없이 고온에 반응하는 마이크로캡슐 기반 소화 기술은 당사가 독자적으로 보유한 차별화된 기술”이라며, “배터리, 에너지, 데이터센터 등 다양한 산업군에서의 수요 증가에 맞춰 국내외 시장 확대에 속도를 낼 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

In the future, it plans to expand its business to electric vehicle and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery fire response product groups.
A GFI official said, “The microcapsule-based digestion technology that reacts to high temperatures without power or separate sensors is a differentiated technology that we possess independently,” and added, “We plan to accelerate our expansion into domestic and international markets in line with the increasing demand in various industries such as batteries, energy, and data centers.”
