시니어 케어 전문 기업 케어링(대표 김태성)은 일본 요양 서비스 기업 솜포케어가 IT 기술이 접목된 한국의 시니어 돌봄 현장을 견학하기 위해 지난달 케어링 주간보호센터와 도심형 유료양로시설 케어링 스테이를 방문했다고 16일 밝혔다.
케어링은 어르신들이 선제적으로 필요한 돌봄을 받을 수 있도록 요양 시설에 디지털 헬스케어 솔루션을 적용했다. 케어링 주간보호센터 용인기흥점은 컴커그·실버짐 등 스마트 인지·재활 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 케어링 스테이 포천광릉수목원점은 AI 카메라·지능형 센서 기반 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 갖춰 어르신의 안전사고 발생을 예방하고 있다.
솜포케어는 주간보호센터에서 근골격계 재활 및 치매 예방 프로그램을 참관했으며, 케어링 스테이에서는 낙상사고 방지를 위해 설치돼 있는 지능형 AI CCTV 시스템을 살펴보고 생활 공간을 비롯한 공용거실, 물리치료실, 월풀스파룸, 찜질·족욕실, GX룸 등 주요 편의 시설을 둘러봤다. 특히 스마트 케어 설비에 높은 관심을 보이며 어르신 돌봄 환경 변화의 필요성에 깊이 공감했다.
솜포케어는 일본 최대 손해보험그룹 ‘솜포홀딩스’ 산하 요양 및 복지 서비스 전문 기업으로, 방문 요양·주간보호·유료노인주택시설 등 어르신 전 생애주기형 돌봄 서비스를 운영 중이다. 솜포케어가 일본 전국에서 돌보는 어르신 수는 약 8만5000명에 달한다.

Senior care specialist company Caring (CEO Taesung Kim) announced on the 16th that Japanese nursing service company Sompocare visited Caring Day Care Center and Caring Stay, an urban paid nursing facility, last month to observe Korea’s senior care site utilizing IT technology.
Caring has applied digital healthcare solutions to nursing facilities so that the elderly can receive the care they need proactively. Caring Day Care Center Yongin Giheung Branch operates smart cognitive and rehabilitation programs such as Comker and Silver Gym, and Caring Stay Pocheon Gwangneung Arboretum Branch is equipped with a real-time monitoring system based on AI cameras and intelligent sensors to prevent safety accidents for the elderly.
Sompocare observed musculoskeletal rehabilitation and dementia prevention programs at a day care center, and at Caring Stay, they looked at the intelligent AI CCTV system installed to prevent falls and toured major amenities including the living space, common living room, physical therapy room, whirlpool spa room, steam room/foot bath room, and GX room. In particular, they showed great interest in smart care facilities and deeply sympathized with the need for changes in the environment for senior care.
Sompocare is a specialized nursing and welfare service company under Japan's largest non-life insurance group, Sompo Holdings, and operates a full life cycle care service for the elderly, including home nursing, day care, and paid nursing homes. The number of elderly people cared for by Sompocare across Japan is approximately 85,000.
