제주국제자유도시개발센터(이하 JDC)는 제주혁신성장센터 Route330 입주기업 주식회사 퓨처이브이가 중소벤처기업부 주관 ‘2025 아기 유니콘 육성 사업’에 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
㈜퓨처이브이는 2024년 제주혁신성장센터에 입주했으며 배터리팩 설계, 배터리제어관리시스템(BMS), 모터제어 설계 등의 기술을 기반으로 친환경 경·소형 전기 트럭(F100) 및 부품을 제작하는 미래 모빌리티 분야의 유망기업이다.
JDC 혁신성장센터 입주기업이 중기부 유니콘 기업 양성 사업에 선정된 것은 아기유니콘(카랑, 포엔), 예비유니콘(네이처모빌리티)에 이어 ㈜퓨처이브이가 4번째다.
중소벤처기업부 추진 아기 유니콘 육성 사업은 기업가치를 검증받은 선정기업들이 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 유니콘 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 ‘글로벌 유니콘 프로젝트’에 따라 단계적으로 지원하며, 올해는 총 217개 사가 신청 후 최종 50개 사가 선정, 약 4.3:1의 경쟁률을 기록했다.
선정된 기업은 시장개척자금(최대 3억 원)과 기술보증기금의 특별보증(최대 50억 원)을 지원받는다. 또한 해외시장진출 지원(글로벌 박람회 참가, 해외법인설립 지원 등)과 후속 투자유치 관련(상장 사전진단, 투자자 매칭 및 네트워크 구축 등) 다양한 연계지원사업을 받을 수 있다.
김경수 퓨처이브이 대표는 “아기 유니콘 선정을 위한 심사와 발표 준비가 쉽지만은 않았기에 더 값진 성과”라며 “추후 적극적인 IR 참가를 통해 후속 투자를 유치하는 것을 목표로 하고, 기업공개(IPO)도 진행할 계획”이라고 포부를 밝혔다.
구병욱 JDC 산업육성본부장은 “JDC는 입주기업의 성장을 위해 시제품 제작 등 다방면으로 지원해왔는데, 이번 퓨처이브이의 아기 유니콘 선정이 그 결실을 맺은 것 같아 기쁘다”라며“제주첨단과학기술단지 내 기술창업기업 육성을 통해 일자리 창출과 지역경제 활성화 제고를 이끌겠다”라고 말했다.

Future EV selected for '2025 Baby Unicorn Breeding Project'
Jeju International Free City Development Center (JDC) announced that Future EV Co., Ltd., a company located in Jeju Innovation Growth Center Route 330, was finally selected for the '2025 Baby Unicorn Development Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Future EV Co., Ltd. entered the Jeju Innovation Growth Center in 2024 and is a promising company in the future mobility field that manufactures eco-friendly light and compact electric trucks (F100) and parts based on technologies such as battery pack design, battery control management system (BMS), and motor control design.
Future EV is the fourth company in the JDC Innovation Growth Center to be selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' unicorn company training project, following Baby Unicorn (Karang, Poen) and Future Unicorn (Nature Mobility).
The baby unicorn fostering project promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups provides support in stages according to the 'Global Unicorn Project' so that selected companies with verified corporate value can grow into unicorn companies with global competitiveness. This year, a total of 217 companies applied and 50 companies were finally selected, recording a competition rate of approximately 4.3:1.
Selected companies will receive support from market development funds (up to 300 million won) and special guarantees from the Technology Guarantee Fund (up to 5 billion won). They will also receive support for overseas market entry (participation in global exhibitions, support for establishing overseas corporations, etc.) and various related support projects related to attracting follow-up investment (pre-listing diagnosis, investor matching, and network building, etc.).
Kim Kyung-soo, CEO of Future EV, said, “It is an even more valuable achievement because the evaluation and announcement preparation for selecting the baby unicorn was not easy,” and expressed his ambition, saying, “We aim to attract follow-up investment through active participation in IR in the future, and we also plan to proceed with an initial public offering (IPO).”
Koo Byung-wook, head of the JDC Industrial Promotion Headquarters, said, “JDC has supported the growth of companies in various ways, including prototype production, and I am glad that the selection of Future EV’s Baby Unicorn has borne fruit.” He added, “We will lead job creation and revitalization of the local economy by fostering technology startups within the Jeju Science and Technology Complex.”

選ばれた企業は市場開拓資金（最大３億ウォン）と技術保証基金の特別保証（最大５０億ウォン）を支援される。また、海外市場進出支援（グローバル博覧会参加、海外法人設立支援など）と後続投資誘致関連（上場事前診断、投資家マッチング及びネットワーク構築など）多様な連携支援事業を受けることができる。
キム・ギョンス・フューチャー・イーブイ代表は「赤ちゃんユニコーン選定のための審査と発表の準備が容易ではなかったため、より貴重な成果」とし「今後積極的なIR参加を通じて後続投資を誘致することを目標にして、企業公開(IPO)も進行する計画」と抱負を明らかにした。

未来EV株式会社于2024年入驻济州创新成长中心，是基于电池组设计、电池控制管理系统（BMS）、电机控制设计等技术，生产环保型轻型、小型电动卡车（F100）及零部件的未来移动出行领域有前途的企业。

中小企业风险投资部推动的“小独角兽”培育项目，旨在通过“全球独角兽计划”分阶段扶持，帮助入选且已验证企业价值的企业成长为具有全球竞争力的独角兽企业。今年共有217家企业报名，最终有50家企业入选，竞争率约为4.3:1。
入选企业将获得市场拓展基金（最高3亿韩元）及技术保证基金（最高50亿韩元）的特别担保支持，并获得海外市场拓展支持（参加全球展会、设立海外法人等）以及与后续招商引资相关的各种支持项目（上市前诊断、投资者匹配、网络建设等）。
Future EV代表金庆洙表示，“为了选定小独角兽，评估和公告准备工作非常艰难，因此取得了更加宝贵的成果”，并表达了雄心，“未来将积极参与IR，吸引后续投资，并计划进行首次公开募股（IPO）。”
JDC产业振兴本部长具炳旭表示：“JDC通过试制样车等多种方式支持企业发展，很高兴Future EV的‘小独角兽’入选取得了成果。”他还表示，“我们将在济州科学技术园区内培育科技型初创企业，引领创造就业岗位和振兴地区经济。”

Le projet de parrainage de jeunes licornes, promu par le ministère des PME et des Startups, propose un accompagnement par étapes, conformément au « Projet Licorne Mondiale », afin que les entreprises sélectionnées, dont la valeur est avérée, puissent devenir des licornes compétitives à l'échelle mondiale. Cette année, 217 entreprises ont postulé et 50 ont finalement été sélectionnées, enregistrant un taux de participation d'environ 4,3:1.
Les entreprises sélectionnées bénéficieront du soutien du Fonds de développement du marché (jusqu'à 300 millions de wons) et de garanties spéciales du Fonds de garantie technologique (jusqu'à 5 milliards de wons). Elles bénéficieront également d'un soutien à l'entrée sur les marchés étrangers (participation à des salons internationaux, soutien à la création de sociétés étrangères, etc.) et de divers projets de soutien connexes visant à attirer des investissements complémentaires (diagnostic préalable à la cotation, mise en relation avec des investisseurs, constitution de réseaux, etc.).
Kim Kyung-soo, PDG de Future EV, a déclaré : « C'est une réussite d'autant plus précieuse que l'évaluation et la préparation de l'annonce pour la sélection de la petite licorne n'ont pas été faciles », et a exprimé son ambition en déclarant : « Nous visons à attirer des investissements de suivi grâce à une participation active dans les RI à l'avenir, et nous prévoyons également de procéder à une introduction en bourse (IPO). »
Koo Byung-wook, directeur du siège de la promotion industrielle du JDC, a déclaré : « Le JDC a soutenu la croissance des entreprises de diverses manières, notamment par la production de prototypes, et je suis heureux que le choix de la Baby Unicorn de Future EV ait porté ses fruits. » Il a ajouté : « Nous favoriserons la création d'emplois et la revitalisation de l'économie locale en encourageant les start-ups technologiques au sein du complexe scientifique et technologique de Jeju. »
