아마존웹서비스(AWS)는 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신기획평가원(IITP)이 지원하는 ‘2025년 AI 연구용 컴퓨팅 지원 프로젝트’에서 국내 주요 연구기관의 AI 연구를 위한 첨단 클라우드 인프라 공급 사업자로 최종 선정됐다고 25일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 국내 AI 연구개발 역량 강화를 목표로, 클라우드 기반 고성능 GPU 인프라를 산·학·연 연구기관에 제공해 대규모 언어 모델(LLM) 등 다양한 AI 모델 개발을 지원한다. AWS는 6월 23일부터 약 8개월간 차세대 AI 특화 서버를 제공하며, 국내 연구자들이 최첨단 컴퓨팅 환경에서 혁신적인 연구를 수행할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.
연구자들은 AWS 웹 콘솔을 통해 서버를 직접 생성 및 운영하고, 개발 환경 구성과 데이터 관리도 자율적으로 진행할 수 있다. 아울러 AWS는 오프라인 교육, 개발 프레임워크 설치, 데이터 백업 및 결과물 이관 등 연구 전반에 대한 지원을 병행한다.
AWS 윤정원 코리아 공공부문 대표는 “한국 AI 연구 발전에 기여하게 되어 기쁘며, 최고 수준의 보안과 안정성을 갖춘 인프라를 통해 국내 연구진의 혁신을 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Amazon Web Services Provides Advanced Cloud Infrastructure for Ministry of Science and ICT's 'AI Research Computing Support Project'
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on the 25th that it was finally selected as the provider of advanced cloud infrastructure for AI research at major domestic research institutes in the '2025 AI Research Computing Support Project' supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP).
This project aims to strengthen domestic AI research and development capabilities by providing high-performance, cloud-based GPU infrastructure to industry, academia, and research institutes to support the development of various AI models, including large-scale language models (LLMs). AWS will provide next-generation AI-specific servers for approximately eight months starting June 23, and will support domestic researchers to conduct innovative research in a cutting-edge computing environment.
Researchers can create and operate servers directly through the AWS web console, and can also autonomously configure development environments and manage data. AWS also provides support for all aspects of research, including offline training, development framework installation, data backup, and transfer of results.
AWS Korea Public Sector Representative Jeongwon Yoon said, “We are pleased to contribute to the advancement of AI research in Korea, and we will support innovation by domestic researchers through infrastructure with the highest level of security and stability.”

研究者はAWSウェブコンソールを介してサーバーを直接作成および運営し、開発環境の構成とデータ管理も自律的に進めることができます。さらに、AWSは、オフライントレーニング、開発フレームワークのインストール、データのバックアップ、および成果物のエスカレーションなど、研究全体のサポートを並行しています。
AWSユン・ジョンウォンコリア公共部門代表は「韓国AI研究の発展に寄与することができてうれしく、最高水準のセキュリティと安定性を備えたインフラを通じて国内研究陣の革新を支援する」と話した。

该项目旨在通过向产学研机构提供高性能云端 GPU 基础设施，支持包括大规模语言模型 (LLM) 在内的各种 AI 模型的开发，从而增强国内 AI 研发能力。AWS 将从 6 月 23 日起提供约八个月的下一代 AI 专用服务器，并支持国内研究人员在尖端计算环境中开展创新研究。
研究人员可以直接通过 AWS Web 控制台创建和操作服务器，还可以自主配置开发环境和管理数据。AWS 还为研究的各个环节提供支持，包括离线培训、开发框架安装、数据备份和成果传输。

Amazon Web Services fournit une infrastructure cloud avancée au « Projet de soutien à la recherche informatique en IA » du ministère des Sciences et des TIC
Amazon Web Services (AWS) a annoncé le 25 qu'il avait finalement été sélectionné comme fournisseur d'infrastructure cloud avancée pour la recherche en IA dans les principaux instituts de recherche nationaux dans le cadre du « Projet de soutien informatique à la recherche en IA 2025 » soutenu par le ministère des Sciences et des TIC et l'Institut de planification et d'évaluation des technologies de l'information et de la communication (IITP).
Ce projet vise à renforcer les capacités nationales de recherche et développement en IA en fournissant une infrastructure GPU cloud hautes performances à l'industrie, au monde universitaire et aux instituts de recherche afin de soutenir le développement de divers modèles d'IA, notamment les modèles de langage à grande échelle (LLM). AWS fournira des serveurs de nouvelle génération dédiés à l'IA pendant environ huit mois à compter du 23 juin et aidera les chercheurs nationaux à mener des recherches innovantes dans un environnement informatique de pointe.
Les chercheurs peuvent créer et exploiter des serveurs directement via la console web AWS, et configurer de manière autonome leurs environnements de développement et gérer leurs données. AWS offre également un support pour tous les aspects de la recherche, notamment la formation hors ligne, l'installation du framework de développement, la sauvegarde des données et le transfert des résultats.
Jeongwon Yoon, représentant du secteur public d'AWS Corée, a déclaré : « Nous sommes heureux de contribuer à l'avancement de la recherche en IA en Corée, et nous soutiendrons l'innovation des chercheurs nationaux grâce à une infrastructure offrant le plus haut niveau de sécurité et de stabilité. »
