AI 기반 농업 지식재산(IP) 기업 ㈜로버스(ROVERS Inc.)가 한국투자액셀러레이터를 비롯한 투자자들로부터 총 20억 원 규모의 Pre-시리즈 라운드 투자를 유치했다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 라운드에는 한국투자액셀러레이터(5억 원 추가 투자)를 비롯해 KB증권, 농업정책보험금융원, KDB넥스트원펀드, 앤틀러코리아, 앤디스파트너스 등이 공동 참여했다.
로버스는 종자 IP의 발굴부터 거래, 상업화 전 과정을 데이터 기반으로 통합하는 품종 IP 플랫폼을 개발 중이며, 자체 솔루션 ‘Genix’를 통해 품종 상업화 기간을 기존 대비 50% 이상 단축하고 있다. 이 플랫폼은 약 41만 건의 글로벌 품종 데이터를 바탕으로 바이어의 환경 및 수요에 맞는 품종을 매칭하고, 계약·검역·유통 등 상업화 과정 전반을 지원한다.
또한 AI 기반 육종 예측 솔루션을 자체 개발하고 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 맞춤형 품종 개발과 로열티 기반 비즈니스 모델 확대를 추진 중이다. 로버스는 이러한 기술을 통해 기존 육종 산업의 병목 문제를 해소하고, AI Breeding 인프라 구축을 목표로 하고 있다.
로버스는 이번 투자금을 기반으로 핵심 품종 IP 내재화, AI 육종 솔루션 고도화, 글로벌 PoC 프로젝트 확장, 전문 인력 확보 등에 집중할 계획이다.
한편, 한국투자액셀러레이터 주연우 심사역은 “로버스는 종자 분야에 특화된 기술력을 바탕으로 농업 밸류체인의 상업화 속도를 향상시키고 있다”며 “AI 기반 육종 예측 기술과 글로벌 IP 데이터 인프라는 농업 산업의 생산성과 예측 가능성을 높일 수 있는 기반 기술로 평가된다”고 밝혔다.
Rovers Attracts 2 Billion Won in Investment… “Promoting Advancement of AI-Based Variety IP Platform”
ROVERS Inc., an AI-based agricultural intellectual property (IP) company, announced on the 14th that it had attracted a total of KRW 2 billion in pre-series round investment from investors including the Korea Investment Accelerator.
This round was jointly participated by Korea Investment Accelerator (additional investment of 500 million won), KB Securities, Agricultural Policy Insurance Finance Institute, KDB Next One Fund, Antler Korea, and Andys Partners.
Robus is developing a variety IP platform that integrates the entire process from seed IP discovery to trading and commercialization based on data, and is shortening the variety commercialization period by more than 50% compared to the existing period through its own solution, 'Genix'. Based on approximately 410,000 global variety data, this platform matches varieties that fit the buyer's environment and demand, and supports the entire commercialization process, including contracts, quarantine, and distribution.
In addition, we are developing our own AI-based breeding prediction solution, and based on this, we are promoting customized breed development and royalty-based business model expansion. Through this technology, Robus aims to resolve bottlenecks in the existing breeding industry and build AI Breeding infrastructure.
Based on this investment, Robus plans to focus on internalizing core variety IP, advancing AI breeding solutions, expanding global PoC projects, and securing professional manpower.
Meanwhile, Joo Yeon-woo, a judge at the Korea Investment Accelerator, said, “Robus is accelerating the commercialization of the agricultural value chain based on its specialized technology in the seed sector,” and “AI-based breeding prediction technology and global IP data infrastructure are evaluated as basic technologies that can increase the productivity and predictability of the agricultural industry.”

ロバースは種子IPの発掘から取引、商業化全過程をデータ基盤に統合する品種IPプラットフォームを開発中であり、独自ソリューション「Genix」を通じて品種商業化期間を従来比50%以上短縮している。このプラットフォームは約41万件のグローバル品種データをもとにバイヤーの環境及び需要に合う品種をマッチングし、契約・検疫・流通など商業化過程全般を支援する。
また、AIベースの育種予測ソリューションを独自開発しており、これをもとにカスタマイズされた品種開発とロイヤリティベースのビジネスモデルの拡大を推進している。ロバースはこのような技術を通じて既存育種産業のボトルネック問題を解消し、AI Breedingインフラ構築を目指している。
ロバースは今回の投資金を基にコア品種IP内在化、AI育種ソリューションの高度化、グローバルPoCプロジェクトの拡張、専門人材確保などに集中する計画だ。
一方、韓国投資アクセラレータのチュ・ヨンウ審査役は「ローバーズは種子分野に特化した技術力をもとに農業バリューチェーンの商業化速度を向上させている」とし「AI基盤育種予測技術とグローバルIPデータインフラは農業産業の生産性と予測可能性を高める基盤技術と評価される」と明らかにした。

Robus正在开发一个品种IP平台，该平台整合了从种子IP发现到基于数据的交易和商业化的整个流程，并通过其自主研发的解决方案“Genix”将品种商业化周期比现有周期缩短了50%以上。该平台基于全球约41万个品种数据，匹配符合买家环境和需求的品种，并支持包括合同、检疫和分销在内的整个商业化流程。
此外，我们正在开发自主研发的基于AI的育种预测解决方案，并在此基础上推进定制化品种开发和基于权利金的商业模式拓展。Robus旨在通过这项技术解决现有育种行业的瓶颈问题，构建AI育种基础设施。
基于本次投资，Robus计划专注于内部化核心品种IP、推进AI育种解决方案、扩大全球PoC项目以及确保专业人力。
另外，韩国投资加速器评委朱延宇表示，“Robus公司以种子领域的专业技术为基础，正在加速农业价值链的商业化”，“基于AI的育种预测技术和全球IP数据基础设施被评价为能够提高农业产业生产率和可预测性的基础技术”。

Ce tour a été conjointement participé par Korea Investment Accelerator (investissement supplémentaire de 500 millions de wons), KB Securities, Agricultural Policy Insurance Finance Institute, KDB Next One Fund, Antler Korea et Andys Partners.
Robus développe une plateforme de propriété intellectuelle variétale intégrant l'ensemble du processus, de la découverte de la propriété intellectuelle des semences à la négociation et à la commercialisation, basée sur les données. Grâce à sa propre solution, « Genix », elle réduit de plus de 50 % la période de commercialisation des variétés par rapport à la période actuelle. S'appuyant sur environ 410 000 données variétales mondiales, cette plateforme associe les variétés adaptées à l'environnement et à la demande de l'acheteur et prend en charge l'ensemble du processus de commercialisation, y compris les contrats, la quarantaine et la distribution.
Nous développons également notre propre solution de prédiction de reproduction basée sur l'IA, ce qui nous permet de promouvoir le développement de races personnalisées et l'expansion de notre modèle économique basé sur les redevances. Parallèlement, Joo Yeon-woo, juge au Korea Investment Accelerator, a déclaré : « Robus accélère la commercialisation de la chaîne de valeur agricole grâce à sa technologie spécialisée dans le secteur des semences » et « la technologie de prédiction de sélection basée sur l'IA et l'infrastructure mondiale de données IP sont évaluées comme des technologies de base qui peuvent augmenter la productivité et la prévisibilité de l'industrie agricole. »
