노화 및 대사질환 예방 인공지능(AI) 기술을 개발하는 스타트업 프로메디우스는 지난 15일 대한결핵협회와 결핵 및 골다공증의 예방과 조기 발견을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 의료 접근성이 낮은 취약 계층을 대상으로 AI 기반 건강검진 서비스를 공동 개발하고, 올해 중 시범사업을 통해 공공보건 영역에 실제 적용할 계획이다. 특히 초고령사회 진입에 따라 증가하는 노인성 질환에 대응하기 위한 공공의료 현장의 활용 가능성을 함께 모색한다는 방침이다.
프로메디우스는 복십자의원 및 지자체가 시행하는 노인 대상 결핵 검진에 자사의 AI 기술을 접목할 예정이며, 대한결핵협회가 보유한 데이터를 활용해 AI 성능 고도화 및 관련 공동 연구도 추진할 계획이다.
이번 협약에서 중심이 되는 기술은 프로메디우스가 개발한 AI 기반 소프트웨어 ‘오스테오 시그널(Osteo Signal)’이다. 이 제품은 50세 이상 환자의 흉부 엑스레이 영상을 분석해 골다공증 가능성을 선별하고, 의료진의 진단을 보조하는 기능을 수행한다. 뼈의 미세한 변화 신호를 포착해 조기 진단에 기여하는 것이 특징이다.
프로메디우스 배현진 대표는 “이번 협약은 공공의료 사각지대 해소를 위한 실질적인 첫걸음”이라며 “AI 기술을 통해 골다공증 등 고령층 질환의 조기 발견에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

Promedius Signs Business Agreement with Korean Tuberculosis Association
Promedius , a startup developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to prevent aging and metabolic diseases, announced on the 15th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korean Tuberculosis Association for the prevention and early detection of tuberculosis and osteoporosis.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly develop an AI-based health screening service for vulnerable groups with low medical accessibility and apply it to the public health sector through a pilot project this year. In particular, they plan to jointly explore the possibility of utilizing it in public medical settings to respond to geriatric diseases that are increasing as we enter a super-aging society.
Promedius plans to apply its AI technology to tuberculosis screening for the elderly conducted by the Bokseongja Hospital and local governments, and also plans to use data held by the Korean Tuberculosis Association to advance AI performance and conduct related joint research.
The technology at the center of this agreement is the AI-based software 'Osteo Signal' developed by Promedius. This product analyzes chest X-ray images of patients over 50 years of age to screen for osteoporosis and assists medical staff in their diagnosis. Its main feature is that it captures subtle bone change signals and contributes to early diagnosis.
Promedius CEO Bae Hyun-jin said, “This agreement is a practical first step toward eliminating blind spots in public medical care,” and added, “We will contribute to the early detection of diseases in the elderly, such as osteoporosis, through AI technology.”

今回の条約で中心となる技術は、プロメディウスが開発したAIベースのソフトウェア「オステオシグナル（Osteo Signal）」だ。この製品は50歳以上の患者の胸部X線画像を分析して骨粗鬆症の可能性を選別し、医療スタッフの診断を支援する機能を果たす。骨の微細な変化信号を捉え、早期診断に寄与するのが特徴だ。

通过此次合作，两家机构计划共同开发基于人工智能的健康筛查服务，面向医疗可及性较低的弱势群体，并于今年通过试点项目将其应用于公共卫生领域。尤其计划共同探索将其应用于公共医疗机构的可能性，以应对随着超老龄化社会的到来而日益增多的老年病。
Promedius计划将其AI技术应用于福星子医院和地方政府进行的老年人结核病筛查，同时还计划利用韩国结核病协会持有的数据来提高AI性能并开展相关联合研究。
此次协议的核心技术是Promedius公司开发的基于人工智能的软件“Osteo Signal”。该产品通过分析50岁以上患者的胸部X光图像，筛查骨质疏松症，并协助医务人员进行诊断。其主要特点是能够捕捉细微的骨骼变化信号，有助于早期诊断。

Promedius , une startup développant une technologie d'intelligence artificielle (IA) pour prévenir le vieillissement et les maladies métaboliques, a annoncé le 15 avoir signé un accord commercial (MOU) avec l'Association coréenne de lutte contre la tuberculose pour la prévention et la détection précoce de la tuberculose et de l'ostéoporose.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations prévoient de développer conjointement un service de dépistage médical basé sur l'IA pour les groupes vulnérables ayant un accès limité aux soins médicaux et de l'appliquer au secteur de la santé publique dans le cadre d'un projet pilote cette année. Elles prévoient notamment d'explorer conjointement la possibilité de l'utiliser en milieu médical public pour répondre aux maladies gériatriques en augmentation avec l'avènement d'une société très vieillissante.
Promedius prévoit d'appliquer sa technologie d'IA au dépistage de la tuberculose chez les personnes âgées, mené par l'hôpital de Bokseongja et les gouvernements locaux, et prévoit également d'utiliser les données détenues par l'Association coréenne de lutte contre la tuberculose pour améliorer les performances de l'IA et mener des recherches conjointes connexes.
La technologie au cœur de cet accord est le logiciel d'IA « Osteo Signal » développé par Promedius. Ce produit analyse les radiographies thoraciques des patients de plus de 50 ans pour dépister l'ostéoporose et aider le personnel médical à établir son diagnostic.
