바이오 피부과학 전문기업 지에프씨생명과학(공동대표 강희철·표형배)은 대만 스킨케어 브랜드 리러브(Relove)와 전략적 제휴를 체결하고, 자사 엑소좀 원료인 Lakei-Exo(EH)와 Leuco-Exo(EPH)의 대만 내 독점 사용권을 부여했다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 리러브는 해당 원료를 활용한 제품을 대만 시장에서 단독으로 개발하고 상용화할 수 있는 권리를 확보했다. 지에프씨생명과학은 이를 계기로 아시아 지역 기술 수출 확대는 물론, 글로벌 바이오 원료 시장에서의 입지를 강화할 계획이다.
지에프씨생명과학이 공급하는 Lakei-Exo(EH)와 Leuco-Exo(EPH)는 고순도 세포 유래 엑소좀 기반 원료로, 피부 재생, 항노화, 진정 등의 효능을 바탕으로 다양한 피부과 전문 제품에 활용되고 있다.
리러브는 연매출 약 5억 대만달러(한화 약 230억 원)를 기록 중인 스킨케어 브랜드로, 대만 전역의 백화점, 약국, 드럭스토어, 온라인 채널을 통해 제품을 유통하고 있으며, 홍콩, 중국, 일본, 말레이시아, 북미 등 해외 진출도 추진 중이다.
리러브 관계자는 “기능성 중심의 엑소좀 스킨케어 라인을 강화하기 위해 이번 협력을 추진했다”며 “지에프씨생명과학의 원료가 자사 브랜드 전략에 적합해 소비자 만족도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
강희철 지에프씨생명과학 대표는 “이번 제휴는 회사의 기술력과 글로벌 시장에서의 신뢰도를 입증하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “대만을 시작으로 아시아 시장 확대를 추진하고, 북미와 유럽 진출도 검토하고 있다”고 말했다.

GFC Life Sciences Signs Strategic Partnership with Taiwan Relove
GFC Life Science (Co-CEOs Kang Hee-chul and Pyo Hyeong-bae), a bio-dermatology company, announced on the 22nd that it has signed a strategic partnership with Taiwanese skincare brand Relove and granted it exclusive rights to use its exosome raw materials, Lakei-Exo (EH) and Leuco-Exo (EPH), in Taiwan.
Through this agreement, Relove has secured the right to exclusively develop and commercialize products using the raw materials in the Taiwanese market. Lakei-Exo (EH) and Leuco-Exo (EPH) supplied by GFC Life Science are high-purity cell-derived exosome-based raw materials that are used in various dermatological products based on their efficacy such as skin regeneration, anti-aging, and soothing.
Relove is a skincare brand with annual sales of approximately 500 million Taiwan dollars (approximately 23 billion won). It distributes its products through department stores, pharmacies, drugstores, and online channels throughout Taiwan, and is also pursuing overseas expansion into Hong Kong, China, Japan, Malaysia, and North America.
A representative of Relove stated, “We pursued this collaboration in order to strengthen our exosome skincare line that focuses on functionality,” and “We expect that GFC Life Science’s raw materials will fit our brand strategy and increase consumer satisfaction.”
“This partnership will be an opportunity to demonstrate the company’s technological prowess and reliability in the global market,” said Kang Hee-chul, CEO of GFC Life Science. “We are pursuing expansion into the Asian market starting with Taiwan, and are also considering advancing into North America and Europe.”
