AI 기반 세무 자동화 솔루션 기업 솔로몬랩스(대표 이기경)가 글로벌 벤처캐피털 베세머 벤처 파트너스(Bessemer Venture Partners)로부터 680만 달러(약 95억 원) 규모의 시드 투자를 유치했다고 23일 밝혔다. 지난해 크루캐피탈, 베이스벤처스, 발론캐피탈, 힐스프링 인베스트먼트 등으로부터 300만 달러(약 42억 원)를 투자받은 데 이어, 누적 투자금은 약 1,000만 달러(한화 약 140억 원)에 달한다.
2024년 설립된 솔로몬랩스는 뉴욕에 본사를 두고 있으며, 세무 신고 업무의 자동화를 목표로 하는 AI 에이전트 기반 솔루션 ‘솔로몬 AI’를 제공하고 있다. 이 솔루션은 문서 수집, 데이터 추출, 신고서 작성 등 반복적인 세무 업무를 자동화함으로써 회계법인의 업무 효율을 높인다. 기존 5시간 이상 소요되던 세금 신고서 작성 시간을 30분 이내로 줄일 수 있으며, 이를 통해 인력 부족 문제를 겪는 회계법인들이 더 많은 고객을 수용하고 고부가가치 서비스에 집중할 수 있도록 지원한다.
미국 회계 업계는 최근 몇 년간 인력 부족 현상을 겪고 있다. CPA 트렌드라인(CPA Trendlines)에 따르면 회계법인의 42%가 인력 부족으로 인해 신규 고객을 수용하지 못하거나 기존 고객에게 충분한 서비스를 제공하지 못한 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 상황에서 솔로몬랩스는 서비스 출시 6개월 만에 연 환산 매출(ARR) 100만 달러를 달성했으며, 2025년 말까지 300만 달러 도달을 목표로 하고 있다.
솔로몬랩스는 이번 투자금을 활용해 AI 모델의 정밀도 향상, 자동화 범위 확대, 사용자 인터페이스 개선 등에 집중할 예정이다. 향후에는 학자금 대출, 위자료 등 다양한 연방 세금 항목은 물론, 주(州) 단위 적용 확장을 통해 세무 자동화의 범위를 넓혀 나갈 계획이다. 또한, 데이터 기반 맞춤형 세금 신고 최적화 및 절세 전략 제안 기능도 순차적으로 도입할 방침이다.

The U.S. accounting industry has been experiencing a shortage of staff in recent years. According to CPA Trendlines, 42% of accounting firms have experienced a lack of staffing that prevents them from taking on new clients or providing adequate service to existing clients. In this context, Solomon Labs achieved $1 million in annualized revenue (ARR) within six months of launching its service and aims to reach $3 million by the end of 2025.
Solomon Labs plans to use this investment to focus on improving the accuracy of AI models, expanding the scope of automation, and improving the user interface. In the future, it plans to expand the scope of tax automation by expanding state-level application as well as various federal tax items such as student loans and alimony. In addition, it plans to sequentially introduce data-based customized tax reporting optimization and tax saving strategy suggestion functions.

Solomon Labs prévoit d'utiliser cet investissement pour améliorer la précision des modèles d'IA, étendre le champ d'automatisation et perfectionner l'interface utilisateur.
