글로벌 아웃도어 브랜드 ODM 전문기업 ㈜동인기연이 김포 본사에 태양광 발전 설비 구축을 완료했다고 8일 밝혔다. 앞서 베트남 생산법인(DIVN)에 이어 두 번째로 진행된 설비 확충으로, 기업 차원의 재생에너지 전환 및 RE100 이행을 위한 기반 마련에 본격적으로 나섰다는 평가다.
이번에 김포 본사에 설치된 태양광 설비는 연간 약 318,854kWh의 전력을 생산할 수 있는 규모로, 이는 전체 사용 전력의 약 24.8%를 대체할 수 있는 수준이다. 이를 통해 연간 약 146.3톤의 탄소 배출을 저감할 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 온실가스 감축 및 탄소중립 실현에도 기여할 전망이다.
RE100(Renewable Electricity 100%)은 기업이 사용하는 전력의 100%를 재생에너지로 충당하겠다는 글로벌 캠페인이다. 동인기연은 이번 김포 본사 설비를 포함해 베트남 생산법인에 구축한 태양광 인프라를 바탕으로, 단계적인 재생에너지 전환을 추진하고 있다.
