AI 로보틱스 기반 자율생산 솔루션 기업 로아이(ROAI, 대표 홍석의)가 중소벤처기업부의 ‘딥테크 TIPS(Tech Incubator Program for Startup)’에 최종 선정됐다고 1일 밝혔다. 이번 선정은 TIPS 운영사인 마크앤컴퍼니의 추천을 통해 ‘패스트트랙(Fast Track)’ 방식으로 단번에 통과한 사례로, 로아이의 기술력과 성장 가능성을 공식적으로 인정받은 것으로 평가된다.
로아이는 현대자동차 제조솔루션본부에서 분사해 설립된 기업으로, ‘One Click Manufacturing’을 비전으로 공장의 기획, 설계, 운영 전 과정을 자동화하는 완전 자율생산 체계를 개발하고 있다. 핵심 솔루션인 ‘Xelo(셀로)’는 AI 기반 플래닝 엔진으로, 공장 구조와 제품 데이터를 분석해 로봇의 배치와 경로를 자동으로 최적화하는 기능을 제공한다. 해당 기술은 이미 자동차 제조 공정에 적용되어 성능을 검증받은 바 있다.
이번 TIPS 과제를 통해 로아이는 Xelo를 기반으로 한 ‘로봇 플래닝 완전 무인화(Full Automation)’ 기술 개발에 주력할 계획이다. 현재 다수의 제조 공정은 여전히 인력에 의존하고 있어 시간과 비용 측면에서 비효율성이 존재한다. 로아이는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 ‘Physical AI’ 기술을 적용해, 로봇이 사람의 개입 없이 공정 설계부터 실행까지 스스로 수행하는 자율생산 체계를 구축한다는 목표다.

ROAI (CEO Hong Seok-ui), an autonomous manufacturing solution company based on AI robotics, announced on the 1st that it has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "Deep Tech TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups)". This selection is considered an official recognition of ROAI's technological prowess and growth potential, as it was a case of passing the "Fast Track" process in one go through the recommendation of Mark & Company, the operator of TIPS.
ROAI, a spin-off from Hyundai Motor Company's Manufacturing Solutions Division, is developing a fully autonomous production system that automates all processes of factory planning, design, and operation, with the vision of "One Click Manufacturing." Its core solution, Xelo, is an AI-based planning engine that analyzes factory structure and product data to automatically optimize robot placement and paths. This technology has already been applied and proven in automotive manufacturing processes.
Through this TIPS project, Roai plans to focus on developing "Full Automation Robot Planning" technology based on Xelo. Currently, many manufacturing processes still rely on human labor, resulting in inefficiencies in terms of time and cost. To overcome these limitations, Roai aims to apply "Physical AI" technology to build an autonomous production system where robots can perform everything from process design to execution without human intervention.

ROAI (PDG : Hong Seok-ui), entreprise spécialisée dans les solutions de fabrication autonome basées sur la robotique et l’intelligence artificielle, a annoncé le 1er décembre avoir été sélectionnée pour le programme « Deep Tech TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) » du ministère des PME et des Startups. Cette sélection constitue une reconnaissance officielle de l’expertise technologique et du potentiel de croissance de ROAI, l’entreprise ayant franchi avec succès la procédure d’admission accélérée grâce à la recommandation de Mark & Company, gestionnaire du programme TIPS.
ROAI, une entreprise issue de la division Manufacturing Solutions de Hyundai Motor Company, développe un système de production entièrement autonome qui automatise l'ensemble des processus de planification, de conception et d'exploitation d'une usine, avec pour vision une production simplifiée. Pour pallier ces limitations, Roai ambitionne d'appliquer la technologie d'« intelligence artificielle physique » afin de concevoir un système de production autonome où les robots pourront gérer l'ensemble du processus, de sa conception à son exécution, sans intervention humaine.
« Nous allons établir une nouvelle norme pour l’industrie manufacturière grâce à une technologie de production entièrement autonome utilisant la robotique et l’intelligence artificielle », a déclaré Roai Hong Seok, PDG. « Cette sélection au programme TIPS nous permettra d’accélérer notre développement technologique et notre entrée sur le marché mondial. »
