중소벤처기업부(장관 한성숙, 이하 중기부)는 1일(월) 세계시장을 선도할 예비유니콘 기업 15개사를 최종 선정했다고 밝혔다.
예비유니콘 특별보증은 글로벌 유니콘 기업으로의 육성을 위해 최대 200억원까지 Scale-up 자금을 지원하는 사업으로, 금년에는 79개사가 신청하여 5.3:1의 경쟁률을 보이며 큰 관심을 나타냈다.
올해도 치열한 경쟁을 뚫고 혁신성과 성장성이 우수한 기업들이 대거 선정되었으며, 평균 매출액은 233억원, 고용인원 74명, 투자유치금액 352억원, 기업가치는 1,134억원으로 나타났다.
이번에 선정된 ㈜트래블월렛은 해외결제·환전·송금 등 글로벌 결제 플랫폼 기업으로, 기존 은행의 높은 수수료와 장시간 소요 등 불편을 해소한 혁신성 및 ‘21년 서비스 출시 후 이룬 성장성을 인정받았다.
AI 검색 및 딥리서치 서비스 ‘LINER’를 제공하는 ㈜라이너는 인공지능 모델의 신뢰성을 평가하는 SimpleQA 벤치마크에서 세계 1위를 기록하여 혁신성을 인정받았고, 미국 대학가를 공략하여 해외시장 점유율을 확대하고 있어 글로벌 AI 기업으로의 성장 가능성이 기대된다.
올해부터는 ‘성과연동 보증제도’를 신규로 도입해 ‘후속 투자’, ‘매출’ 등에서 일정 성과를 달성하면 별도 심사 없이도 추가로 보증을 더 받을 수 있도록 하여 기업에 편의성을 제공하고 후속투자 및 매출성장의 동기를 부여했다.
중기부는 예비유니콘 사업으로 ’19년부터 ’24년까지 126개의 예비유니콘을 선정하여 7,972억원의 특별보증을 지원했다.
선정기업 126개사를 대상으로 ’24년말 기준의 성과를 측정한 결과 선정 당시 대비 매출액은 174.0%, 고용인원은 44.7% 증가하였고, 그 중 90개사는 5.2조원의 후속투자를 유치했다.
특히, 8개사는 유니콘 기업으로 등극하였고, 코스닥 시장에도 13개 기업이 상장했다.
중기부 한성숙 장관은 “예비유니콘 특별보증 사업은 그간 다수의 기업공개(IPO) 성공, 유니콘 기업으로 성장 등 성과를 거두면서 대표적인 스케일업 프로그램으로 자리 잡았다”고 전하며 “예비유니콘 기업이 우리경제 성장의 핵심 주역이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

It is also expanding its overseas market share by targeting American universities, and is expected to grow into a global AI company.
Starting this year, we have introduced a new "Performance-Linked Guarantee System," which allows companies to receive additional guarantees without separate screening when they achieve certain performance goals in areas such as "follow-up investment" and "sales," thereby providing convenience to companies and motivating them to make follow-up investments and grow sales.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups selected 126 potential unicorns from 2019 to 2024 as part of its prospective unicorn project and provided special guarantees worth 797.2 billion won.
As a result of measuring the performance of the 126 selected companies as of the end of 2024, sales increased by 174.0% and the number of employees increased by 44.7% compared to the time of selection, and 90 of them attracted follow-up investment of 5.2 trillion won.
In particular, eight companies have become unicorns, and 13 companies have been listed on the KOSDAQ market.
Minister of SMEs and Startups Han Sung-sook said, “The special guarantee program for potential unicorns has established itself as a representative scale-up program by achieving results such as numerous successful IPOs and growth into unicorn companies,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that potential unicorn companies can become key players in our economic growth.”

Cette année, à l'issue d'une sélection rigoureuse, un grand nombre d'entreprises se distinguant par leur innovation et leur fort potentiel de croissance. Leur chiffre d'affaires moyen s'élevait à 23,3 milliards de wons, elles employaient 74 personnes, avaient attiré 35,2 milliards de wons d'investissements et leur capitalisation boursière atteignait 113,4 milliards de wons.
Travel Wallet Co., Ltd., sélectionnée cette fois-ci, est une plateforme de paiement internationale proposant des services de paiement à l'étranger, de change et de transfert d'argent. Elle a été distinguée pour son innovation dans la résolution des problèmes tels que les frais élevés et les longs délais de traitement des banques traditionnelles, ainsi que pour son potentiel de croissance depuis son lancement en 2021.
Liner Inc., fournisseur du service de recherche et d'analyse approfondie en IA « LINER », a été saluée pour son innovation en se classant première mondiale au benchmark SimpleQA, qui évalue la fiabilité des modèles d'intelligence artificielle. Le ministère des PME et des Startups a sélectionné 126 licornes potentielles entre 2019 et 2024 dans le cadre de son projet de licornes potentielles et leur a accordé des garanties spéciales d'une valeur de 797,2 milliards de wons.
Suite à l'évaluation des performances des 126 entreprises sélectionnées à la fin de 2024, les ventes ont augmenté de 174,0 % et le nombre d'employés de 44,7 % par rapport à la période de sélection, et 90 d'entre elles ont attiré un investissement de suivi de 5,2 billions de wons.
En particulier, huit entreprises sont devenues des licornes et treize entreprises ont été cotées sur le marché KOSDAQ.
La ministre des PME et des Start-ups, Han Sung-sook, a déclaré : « Le programme de garantie spéciale pour les licornes potentielles s'est imposé comme un programme de croissance représentatif en obtenant des résultats tels que de nombreuses introductions en bourse réussies et la transformation d'entreprises en licornes », et a ajouté : « Nous ferons de notre mieux pour garantir que les entreprises licornes potentielles puissent devenir des acteurs clés de notre croissance économique. »
