동남권 지역 특화 엑셀러레이터 시리즈벤처스(공동대표 박준상, 곽성욱)는 복합 유산균 발효기술을 기반으로 식물성 대체육 제품을 개발하는 스타트업 데이즈투컴(대표 허광오)에 시드 투자를 진행했다고 30일 밝혔다.
2023년 7월 설립된 데이즈투컴은 자체 브랜드 ‘유인프레시(UINFRESH)’를 통해 식물성 고단백 햄과 이를 활용한 냉동볶음밥 제품을 출시하며, 대체육 시장 내 제품 다양성과 품질 향상을 위한 기술 개발에 주력하고 있다.
데이즈투컴은 국내 최초로 복합 유산균 발효기술을 적용해 식물성 대체육의 비린 맛과 이질감을 개선했으며, 100g당 21g의 단백질을 함유한 식물성 햄을 선보였다. 해당 제품은 Non-GMO 원료를 사용해 영양적인 측면에서도 경쟁력을 갖췄으며, 독자적인 저온저압조직화 기술을 활용해 생산설비 비용을 기존 HME(High Moisture Extrusion) 방식 대비 3분의 1 수준으로 절감, 원가 경쟁력도 확보한 것으로 알려졌다.
식물성 대체육 시장은 전 세계적으로 성장세를 보이고 있으며, 일부 보고서에 따르면 장기적으로 전체 육류 시장의 약 25%를 차지할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 최근에는 저속노화, 건강한 단백질 섭취에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 식물성 단백질에 대한 수요 역시 꾸준히 확대되고 있다.
시리즈벤처스는 이번 투자를 통해 데이즈투컴의 기술력과 시장 대응력을 높이 평가했다. 박준상, 곽성욱 공동대표는 “식물성 단백질 수요 증가 추세 속에서 데이즈투컴은 기존 대체육 제품의 한계를 기술적으로 극복하며 차별화된 제품을 선보이고 있다”며 “우수한 기술력과 비용 경쟁력을 기반으로 국내외 시장에서의 성장이 기대된다”고 밝혔다.

Series Ventures invests in plant-based meat alternative startup Days2Com.
Series Ventures (Co-CEOs Park Jun-sang and Kwak Seong-wook), a regional accelerator specializing in the Southeast region, announced on the 30th that it had made a seed investment in Days2Com (CEO Heo Gwang-oh), a startup developing plant-based meat substitute products based on complex lactic acid bacteria fermentation technology.
Founded in July 2023, Days2Com is focusing on developing technologies to improve product diversity and quality in the alternative meat market, launching plant-based high-protein ham and frozen fried rice products using it through its own brand, 'UINFRESH'.
Days2Com was the first in Korea to apply complex lactic acid bacteria fermentation technology to improve the gamey taste and texture of plant-based meat substitutes, and introduced plant-based ham containing 21g of protein per 100g. The product is nutritionally competitive due to its use of non-GMO ingredients. In addition, it is known to have secured cost competitiveness by utilizing its proprietary low-temperature, low-pressure texturizing technology to reduce production facility costs to one-third of the existing HME (High Moisture Extrusion) method.
The plant-based meat alternative market is growing globally, with some reports projecting it will account for approximately 25% of the overall meat market in the long term. Recently, demand for plant-based proteins has steadily increased, driven by growing interest in slow-aging and healthy protein intake.
Through this investment, Series Ventures highly evaluated Days2Com's technological prowess and market responsiveness. Co-CEOs Park Jun-sang and Kwak Seong-wook stated, "Amidst the growing demand for plant-based protein, Days2Com is technologically overcoming the limitations of existing meat substitutes and introducing differentiated products. Series Ventures (co-PDG Park Jun-sang et Kwak Seong-wook), un accélérateur régional spécialisé dans la région Sud-Est, a annoncé le 30 qu'il avait réalisé un investissement de démarrage dans Days2Com (PDG Heo Gwang-oh), une startup développant des produits de substitution de viande à base de plantes basés sur une technologie complexe de fermentation de bactéries lactiques.
Fondée en juillet 2023, Days2Com se concentre sur le développement de technologies visant à améliorer la diversité et la qualité des produits sur le marché de la viande alternative, en lançant des produits à base de plantes, comme du jambon riche en protéines et du riz frit surgelé, sous sa propre marque, « UINFRESH ».
