혼성신호(System Mixed-Signal) 반도체 팹리스 전문기업 아이언디바이스(대표이사 박기태)는 전략기획그룹을 신설하고, 전(前) DB하이텍 상무인 선정현 부사장을 영입했다고 2일 밝혔다.
이번 인사는 아이언디바이스의 중장기 성장 전략 수립 및 사업 다각화를 위한 조직 개편의 일환으로, 전략기획그룹은 ▲핵심 전략 수립 ▲사업 포트폴리오 최적화 ▲신규 사업 발굴 등을 중점적으로 추진할 예정이다.
선정현 신임 부사장은 반도체 산업에서 30년 이상 재직하며 영업, 마케팅, 품질 등 다양한 핵심 부문을 담당해온 인물이다. 1992년 삼성전자 메모리사업부에서 경력을 시작해, 엔비디아(NVIDIA)를 대상으로 한 신제품 프로모션 및 디자인-윈(Design-win) 확보 등 실적을 기록했다.
이후 DB하이텍에서는 약 18년간 근무하며 영업 및 마케팅 부문을 총괄했다. 특히 전력반도체(600V/650V/700V) 초도 양산을 성공적으로 이끌었으며, GaN(질화갈륨) 및 SiC(탄화규소) 기반 전력반도체 개발 로드맵을 수립하고 전기차 및 고속 충전기 시장을 겨냥한 신규 사업을 주도했다. 또한 고수익 제품군과 전력반도체 파운드리 분야에서의 고부가가치 포트폴리오 구축에도 기여한 바 있다.
아이언디바이스 관계자는 “선정현 부사장은 반도체 산업 내 영업 및 마케팅 분야에서 높은 전문성과 풍부한 경험을 갖춘 인물”이라며 “이번 영입을 계기로 전력반도체 사업을 강화하고, 글로벌 고객사와의 협력 확대를 추진할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
선정현 부사장은 “아이언디바이스가 보유한 혼성신호 SoC 기술 기반 위에 전략 실행력을 더해, 화합물 전력반도체 및 시스템반도체 시장에서 경쟁력을 높이는 데 집중하겠다”고 말했다.

Iron Device has appointed former DB HiTek Managing Director Seon Jeong-hyeon as Head of its Strategic Planning Group.
Iron Device (CEO Ki-Tae Park), a fabless company specializing in mixed-signal semiconductors, announced on the 2nd that it has established a strategic planning group and recruited Seong-Hyeon Seon, former managing director of DB HiTek, as vice president.
This personnel change is part of Iron Device's reorganization to establish a mid- to long-term growth strategy and diversify its business. The strategic planning group will focus on ▲establishing core strategies ▲optimizing the business portfolio ▲discovering new businesses, etc.
Seong-Hyeon Seon, the new Vice President, has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having held various key positions in sales, marketing, and quality. He began his career in 1992 at Samsung Electronics' Memory Business Division, where he has demonstrated success in new product promotions and securing design wins for NVIDIA.
He then worked at DB HiTek for approximately 18 years, overseeing sales and marketing. Notably, he successfully led the initial mass production of power semiconductors (600V/650V/700V), established a development roadmap for GaN (gallium nitride) and SiC (silicon carbide)-based power semiconductors, and spearheaded new businesses targeting the electric vehicle and high-speed charger markets. He also contributed to the development of high-margin product lines and a high-value-added portfolio in the power semiconductor foundry sector.
An Iron Device official stated, “Vice President Seon Jeong-hyeon is a person with high expertise and extensive experience in sales and marketing within the semiconductor industry,” and added, “With this appointment, we plan to strengthen our power semiconductor business and expand cooperation with global customers.”
Vice President Seon Jeong-hyeon said, “We will focus on enhancing our competitiveness in the compound power semiconductor and system semiconductor markets by adding strategic execution capabilities to the mixed-signal SoC technology that Iron Device possesses.”
