생성형 인공지능(AI) 전문 기업 딥브레인AI(대표 장세영)는 과학기술정보통신부가 추진하는 ‘글로벌 K-FAST 얼라이언스’에 참여한다고 14일 밝혔다. 이 협의체는 K-미디어·콘텐츠의 글로벌 확산과 현지화를 지원하기 위해 민관이 공동으로 구성한 협력 플랫폼이다.
‘K-FAST 얼라이언스’는 광고 기반 무료 스트리밍 TV(FAST)의 글로벌 확장을 목표로 하며, K-콘텐츠 전용 채널의 구축과 경쟁력 강화를 위한 다양한 협력 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 시장조사업체 등에 따르면, 글로벌 FAST 시장 규모는 2027년까지 약 120억 달러(한화 약 17조 원)에 이를 것으로 전망되고 있다.
얼라이언스 참여 기관들은 K-콘텐츠의 발굴과 AI 기술을 활용한 현지화, K-FAST 해외 서비스 고도화, 콘텐츠 마케팅, 기술 실증, 정책 제언 등을 포함한 협력 활동을 수행할 예정이다.
딥브레인AI는 AI 기반 다국어 더빙 기술을 통해 K-콘텐츠의 현지화를 지원한다. 자막 대신 더빙을 선호하는 글로벌 시청자 수요에 대응하여 몰입감을 높이고, 콘텐츠 소비의 언어 장벽을 낮추는 것이 목표다.
이 회사의 AI 더빙 기술은 150개 이상의 언어를 지원하며, 각 언어의 지역별 억양과 발음 특성을 정교하게 반영한다. 또한 감정 표현이 가능한 음성 합성 기능을 적용해, 콘텐츠의 감정적 메시지를 자연스럽게 전달할 수 있도록 구현됐다.
