아이엘(대표 송성근)은 10월 13일 충남도청에서 열린 ‘우수기업 투자유치 합동 MOU 체결식’에서 충청남도·천안시와 투자 및 협력에 관한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 아이엘은 천안 제3공장 설립을 중심으로 신규 투자를 본격 추진하며, 충청남도와 천안시는 관련 행정 및 재정 지원을 통해 기업의 안정적인 사업 확대를 뒷받침할 예정이다. 공장 설립에 필요한 부지는 천안 스마트팩토리 인근 4,423㎡ 규모로 확보됐으며, 관련 인허가 절차도 완료됐다.
아이엘의 제3공장은 전고체 배터리 상용화를 위한 핵심 생산기지로 활용될 예정이다. 특히, 차세대 배터리용 리튬메탈 음극시트 생산라인이 구축되며, 이는 충청남도가 최근 발표한 이차전지 산업 육성 전략과도 연계된다. 충청남도는 향후 650억 원을 투입해 지역 내 배터리 산업 클러스터를 조성한다는 계획이다.
또한, 아이엘은 이번 공장에 자사 광학 기술 기반의 모빌리티용 실리콘렌즈 램프 생산라인도 함께 도입할 예정이다. 이를 통해 배터리와 램프 양대 사업을 강화하고, 기술 포트폴리오 다변화 및 생산 효율성 제고를 동시에 추진한다는 방침이다.
앞서 아이엘은 미국 전직 의원단과의 기술 교류를 통해 리튬메탈 음극 기술에 대한 해외 협력 가능성을 타진한 바 있으며, 이번 MOU를 계기로 국내 생산기반과 글로벌 협력 네트워크를 연계해 전고체 배터리 사업의 해외 진출도 가속화할 계획이다.
아이엘 송성근 대표는 “천안 제3공장은 차세대 배터리 시장을 선도하기 위한 전략 거점”이라며 “배터리와 램프 생산라인을 통합해 기술력과 생산성을 강화하고, 글로벌 시장 대응력을 높여나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

IL signs investment attraction MOU with South Chungcheong Province and Cheonan City.
IL (CEO Song Seong-geun) announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on investment and cooperation with South Chungcheong Province and Cheonan City at the 'Joint MOU Signing Ceremony for Attracting Investment from Excellent Companies' held at the South Chungcheong Provincial Office on October 13.
Through this agreement, IL will actively pursue new investments, focusing on the establishment of its third factory in Cheonan. South Chungcheong Province and Cheonan City will provide administrative and financial support to support the company's stable business expansion. The 4,423㎡ site required for the factory construction has been secured near the Cheonan Smart Factory, and the related permitting and approval procedures have been completed.
IL's third plant is expected to serve as a key production base for the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries. In particular, a production line for lithium metal anode sheets for next-generation batteries will be built, which is also aligned with South Chungcheong Province's recently announced strategy to foster the secondary battery industry. South Chungcheong Province plans to invest 65 billion won in the future to establish a regional battery industry cluster.
Additionally, IL plans to introduce a silicon lens lamp production line for mobility vehicles, based on its optical technology, to this new plant. Through this, IL aims to strengthen its dual battery and lamp businesses, while simultaneously diversifying its technology portfolio and improving production efficiency.
Previously, IL had explored the possibility of overseas cooperation on lithium metal cathode technology through technology exchanges with a group of former U.S. lawmakers, and plans to use this MOU as an opportunity to accelerate the overseas expansion of its all-solid-state battery business by linking its domestic production base with a global cooperation network.
“The Cheonan Plant 3 is a strategic base for leading the next-generation battery market,” said IEL CEO Song Seong-geun. “By integrating the battery and lamp production lines, we will strengthen our technological prowess and productivity, and enhance our ability to respond to the global market.”

アイエル（代表ソン・ソングン）は１０月１３日、忠南道庁で開かれた「優秀企業投資誘致合同ＭＯＵ締結式」で忠清南道・天安市と投資及び協力に関する了解覚書（ＭＯＵ）を締結したと明らかにした。
今回の協約を通じてアイエルは天安第3工場設立を中心に新規投資を本格推進し、忠清南道と天安市は関連行政及び財政支援を通じて企業の安定的な事業拡大を支える予定だ。工場設立に必要な敷地は、天安スマートファクトリー付近の4,423㎡規模で確保され、関連する許可手続きも完了した。
アイエルの第3工場は全固体電池の商用化のための核心生産基地として活用される予定だ。特に、次世代バッテリー用リチウムメタル負極シートの生産ラインが構築され、これは忠清南道が最近発表した二次電池産業育成戦略とも連携する。忠清南道は今後650億ウォンを投入して地域内バッテリ産業クラスターを造成する計画だ。
また、アイエルは今回の工場に自社光学技術基盤のモビリティ用シリコンレンズランプ生産ラインも併せて導入する予定だ。これにより、バッテリーとランプの両大事業を強化し、技術ポートフォリオの多様化と生産効率の向上を同時に推進するという方針だ。
これに先立ちアイエルは米国元議員団との技術交流を通じてリチウムメタル陰極技術に対する海外協力の可能性を打診したことがあり、今回のMOUを契機に国内生産基盤とグローバル協力ネットワークを連携して全固体バッテリー事業の海外進出も加速化する計画だ。
アイエルソンソングン代表は「天安第3工場は次世代バッテリー市場をリードするための戦略拠点」とし「バッテリーとランプの生産ラインを統合して技術力と生産性を強化し、グローバル市場対応力を高めていく」と明らかにした。

IL signe un protocole d'accord pour attirer les investissements avec la province de Chungcheong du Sud et la ville de Cheonan.
IL (PDG Song Seong-geun) a annoncé avoir signé un protocole d'accord (PA) sur l'investissement et la coopération avec la province de Chungcheong du Sud et la ville de Cheonan lors de la « cérémonie de signature conjointe du PA pour attirer les investissements d'excellentes entreprises » qui s'est tenue au bureau provincial de Chungcheong du Sud le 13 octobre.
Grâce à cet accord, IL s'engage activement dans de nouveaux investissements, notamment la construction de sa troisième usine à Cheonan. La province de Chungcheong du Sud et la ville de Cheonan apporteront un soutien administratif et financier afin d'assurer la pérennité et le développement des activités de l'entreprise. Le terrain de 4 423 m² nécessaire à la construction de l'usine a été acquis à proximité de l'usine intelligente de Cheonan, et les autorisations et permis requis ont été obtenus.
La troisième usine d'IL devrait constituer une base de production clé pour la commercialisation des batteries tout-solide. Elle comprendra notamment une ligne de production de feuilles d'anode en lithium métal destinées aux batteries de nouvelle génération, conformément à la stratégie récemment annoncée par la province de Chungcheong du Sud pour le développement du secteur des batteries secondaires. Cette province prévoit d'investir 65 milliards de wons dans la création d'un pôle régional de l'industrie des batteries.
Par ailleurs, IL prévoit d'installer dans cette nouvelle usine une ligne de production de lampes à lentilles en silicium pour véhicules de mobilité, basée sur sa technologie optique. Grâce à cette initiative, IL entend consolider ses activités dans les domaines des batteries et des lampes, tout en diversifiant son portefeuille technologique et en améliorant son efficacité de production.
Auparavant, IL avait exploré la possibilité d'une coopération à l'étranger sur la technologie des cathodes au lithium métal par le biais d'échanges technologiques avec un groupe d'anciens législateurs américains, et prévoit d'utiliser ce protocole d'entente comme une opportunité pour accélérer l'expansion à l'étranger de son activité de batteries tout-solide en reliant sa base de production nationale à un réseau de coopération mondial.
« L’usine de Cheonan 3 est une base stratégique pour dominer le marché des batteries de nouvelle génération », a déclaré Song Seong-geun, PDG d’IEL. « L’intégration des lignes de production de batteries et de lampes nous permettra de renforcer notre expertise technologique et notre productivité, et d’améliorer notre capacité à répondre aux exigences du marché mondial. »
