기후테크 기업 스타스테크가 대한상공회의소 탄소인증제(KCCI Carbon Standard)로부터 탄소배출권 3만87톤을 획득했다고 23일 밝혔다. 이번 인증은 2024년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일까지의 모니터링 기간 동안 이뤄졌으며, 스타스테크의 탄소배출권은 대기업 1·2위를 잇는 3위순으로 중·소 기업 중 최대 규모다.
대한상공회의소 탄소인증제는 기업의 온실가스 감축 실적을 국제 기준에 따라 검증하고, 탄소감축 성과를 매년 공식 인증하는 제도로, 환경부의 탄소중립 목표(NDC) 달성을 지원하는 국내 대표 민간 인증 프로그램이다. 특히, 인증 받은 감축량은 국내외 기업 간 거래가 가능한 자발적배출권(Voluntary Carbon Credit)으로 활용 가능한 것이 특징이다.
스타스테크는 해양폐기물을 업사이클링해 환경 부담을 최소화하는 친환경 제설제를 개발·공급하는 기업으로, 기후변화 적응(Adaptation)과 완화(Mitigation)를 동시에 실현하는 순환형 기후테크 모델을 구축하고 있다.

또한 스타스테크의 ‘ECO-ST2’는 조달청 혁신제품으로 인증된 국내 유일의 제설제이자, 탄소배출권이 부여된 세계 유일의 제설제다. 특히, 이번 탄소배출권 인증을 통해 제품 사용이 도로 안전과 환경 보호를 넘어 탄소중립 실현에도 기여할 수 있음을 입증했다. 스타스테크의 제품은 현재 전국 지자체 공공도로에 공급되고 있으며, 국내 친환경제설제 시장 점유율 1위를 기록하고 있다.

Climate tech company Startech announced on the 23rd that it has acquired 38,087 tons of carbon credits from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Carbon Standard. This certification was granted during the monitoring period from January 1 to December 31, 2024. Startech's carbon credits rank third among large corporations, following the top two, and are the largest among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Carbon Certification System verifies companies' greenhouse gas reduction performance against international standards and officially certifies carbon reduction results annually. It is Korea's leading private certification program that supports the Ministry of Environment's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) carbon neutrality target. A key feature is that certified reductions can be used as Voluntary Carbon Credits, which can be traded between domestic and international companies.
Startech is a company that develops and supplies eco-friendly de-icing agents that minimize environmental burden by upcycling marine waste. It is also building a circular climate tech model that simultaneously achieves climate change adaptation and mitigation.
Startech's flagship product, 'ECO-ST', is an eco-friendly de-icing agent made by recycling starfish, a marine waste. While the price is the same as other eco-friendly de-icing agents, it boasts overwhelming performance, including ▲a lower iron corrosion rate than water ▲a reduction in road pavement damage by over 90% ▲a reduction in soil contamination and crop damage by up to 70%.
Furthermore, Startech's "ECO-ST2" is the only deicer in Korea certified as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service and the only deicer in the world to be granted carbon emission credits. Notably, this carbon emission credit certification demonstrates that product use can contribute beyond road safety and environmental protection to achieving carbon neutrality. Startech's products are currently supplied to public roads nationwide and hold the largest market share in the domestic eco-friendly deicer market.

岐阜テック企業スターステークが大韓商工会議所炭素認証制(KCCI Carbon Standard)から炭素排出権3万87トンを獲得したと23日明らかにした。今回の認証は2024年1月1日から12月31日までのモニタリング期間中に行われ、スターステークの炭素排出権は大企業1・2位をつなぐ3位順で中・小企業の中で最大規模だ。
大韓商工会議所炭素認証制は、企業の温室効果ガス削減実績を国際基準に従って検証し、炭素削減成果を毎年公式認証する制度で、環境部の炭素中立目標（NDC）達成を支援する国内代表民間認証プログラムだ。特に、認証を受けた削減量は、国内外の企業間取引が可能な自発的排出権（Voluntary Carbon Credit）として活用できることが特徴だ。
スターステークは海洋廃棄物をアップサイクリングして環境負担を最小化する環境にやさしい除雪剤を開発・供給する企業で、気候変動適応（Adaptation）と緩和（Mitigation）を同時に実現する循環型気候テクモデルを構築している。

L'entreprise de technologies climatiques Startech a annoncé le 23 avoir acquis 38 087 tonnes de crédits carbone auprès de la norme Carbon Standard de la Chambre de commerce et d'industrie coréenne (KCCI). Cette certification a été accordée durant la période de surveillance du 1er janvier au 31 décembre 2024. Les crédits carbone de Startech se classent au troisième rang parmi les grandes entreprises, après les deux premières, et sont les plus importants parmi les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME).
Le système de certification carbone de la Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Corée vérifie les performances des entreprises en matière de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre par rapport aux normes internationales et certifie officiellement les résultats chaque année. Il s'agit du principal programme privé de certification coréen, qui soutient l'objectif de neutralité carbone du ministère de l'Environnement (CDN). L'une de ses principales caractéristiques est que les réductions certifiées peuvent être utilisées comme crédits carbone volontaires, échangeables entre entreprises nationales et internationales.
Startech est une entreprise qui développe et fournit des agents de dégivrage écologiques qui minimisent l'impact environnemental grâce à la valorisation des déchets marins. Elle développe également un modèle technologique climatique circulaire qui contribue simultanément à l'adaptation au changement climatique et à son atténuation.
Le produit phare de Startech, « ECO-ST », est un dégivrant écologique fabriqué à partir d'étoiles de mer recyclées, un déchet marin.
