오토노머스에이투지(대표 한지형, 이하 에이투지)는 19일(현지시간) 아부다비에서 아랍에미리트(UAE)의 AI 스페이스테크 기업 스페이스42(Space42)와 현지 자율주행 합작법인 설립을 최종 완료했다고 20일 밝혔다.
양사는 이재명 대통령의 UAE 국빈 방문을 계기로 19일 열린 ‘한-아랍에미리트 비즈니스 라운드 테이블’에서 합작법인 설립을 공식 발표했다. 배경훈 부총리 겸 과학기술정보통신부 장관, 유병용 에이투지 부사장, 슐라이만 알 알리 스페이스42 CCO 등 양국 관계자가 참석한 가운데 계약이 체결됐다.
이번 합작법인 설립은 지난해 7월 당시 바야낫(현 스페이스42)과의 협약 및 10월 업무협약 이후 1년 4개월 만에 마무리된 것이다. 에이투지는 싱가포르 합작법인 A2G를 통해 파트너십 구조 설계와 네트워크 구축을 진행하며 중동 진출 기반을 마련했다.
양사는 합작법인 설립을 위해 총 4백만 달러를 공동 출자하고, 8백만 달러 규모의 아부다비 자율주행 프로젝트를 공동 수주해 추진한다. 주요 사업은 레벨4 자율주행 접근성 확대, 기존 차량을 자율주행차로 개조하는 레트로핏 모델 적용, V2X 기술 및 서비스 제공 등을 포함한다. 단순 기술 교류를 넘어 현지 자율주행 상용화와 스마트 모빌리티 생태계 구축이 목표다.
사업 추진은 단계적으로 진행된다. 내년 상반기에는 아부다비와 두바이에서 기아 ‘PV5’ 5대를 활용한 자율주행 시범사업과 개조 작업이 시작된다. 이후 현지 정부와의 워크숍 및 R&D 프로그램을 통해 제조·인프라 기반을 확충하고, 중동 전역으로 상용화 범위를 넓혀갈 계획이다.
UAE는 두바이의 ‘2030년 자율주행 25% 달성’, 아부다비의 ‘2040년 전면 전환’을 목표로 스마트 모빌리티 전환을 추진 중이다. 합작법인은 아부다비 투자청(ADIO), SAVI 등과 협력해 자율주행 상용화를 위한 법·제도 및 운영 시스템을 공동 개발할 예정이다.
하산 알 호사니 스페이스42 스마트솔루션 CEO는 이번 합작법인을 UAE ‘Autonomy 2.0’ 전략을 실현하기 위한 기반으로 평가하며, 양사 협력을 통해 UAE가 글로벌 자율주행 혁신의 허브로 자리매김할 것이라고 밝혔다.
필립 박 킬사글로벌 공동대표는 이번 협력이 에이투지의 글로벌 확장 전략이 본격적으로 결실을 맺은 사례라며, 향후 중동 및 전세계에서 에이투지의 사업 성장을 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.

A2Z Completes Establishment of Autonomous Driving Joint Venture with UAE's Space42
A2Z (CEO Ji-hyung Han, hereinafter A2Z) announced on the 20th that it had finalized the establishment of a local autonomous driving joint venture with Space42, an AI space tech company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in Abu Dhabi on the 19th (local time).
The two companies officially announced the establishment of the joint venture at the "Korea-UAE Business Roundtable," held on the 19th to coincide with President Lee Jae-myung's state visit to the UAE. The contract was signed in the presence of officials from both countries, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Bae Kyung-hoon, A2Z Vice President Yoo Byung-yong, and Space42 CCO Sulaiman Al Ali.
The establishment of this joint venture was completed one year and four months after the agreement with Bayanat (now Space42) in July of last year and the business agreement in October. Through its Singaporean joint venture, A2Z laid the foundation for its expansion into the Middle East by designing the partnership structure and building a network.
The two companies will jointly invest a total of $4 million to establish the joint venture and jointly secure and pursue an $8 million autonomous driving project in Abu Dhabi. Key projects include expanding access to Level 4 autonomous driving, retrofitting existing vehicles into autonomous vehicles, and providing V2X technology and services. Beyond simple technology exchange, the goal is to commercialize autonomous driving locally and build a smart mobility ecosystem.
The project will proceed in phases. In the first half of next year, autonomous driving pilots and modifications using five Kia PV5s will begin in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Subsequently, workshops and R&D programs with local governments will be conducted to expand the manufacturing and infrastructure base, and commercialization will be expanded throughout the Middle East.
The UAE is pursuing a smart mobility transformation, with Dubai aiming for a 25% autonomous vehicle penetration rate by 2030 and Abu Dhabi aiming for a full transition by 2040. The joint venture will collaborate with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIO), SAVI, and others to jointly develop laws, regulations, and operational systems for the commercialization of autonomous vehicles.
Hassan Al Hosani, CEO of Space42 Smart Solutions, said that this joint venture will serve as a foundation for realizing the UAE's 'Autonomy 2.0' strategy, and that through cooperation between the two companies, the UAE will establish itself as a hub for global autonomous driving innovation.
Philip Park, Co-CEO of Kilsa Global, said that this collaboration is an example of A2Z's global expansion strategy bearing fruit, and that the company plans to support A2Z's business growth in the Middle East and around the world in the future.
Han Ji-hyung, CEO of A2Z, said that this is significant as it marks the full-scale entry of Korean autonomous driving technology into the Middle East market, and that he would expand smart mobility innovation in the UAE and the Middle East by building a safe and reliable autonomous driving infrastructure together with Space42.

両社はイ・ジェミョン大統領のUAE国賓訪問をきっかけに19日開かれた'韓-アラブ首長国連邦ビジネスラウンドテーブル'で合弁法人設立を公式発表した。背景フン副首相兼科学技術情報通信部長官、ユ・ビョンヨンA2Z副社長、シュライマン・アリ・スペース42 CCOなど両国関係者が参加した中で契約が締結された。
今回の合弁法人設立は昨年7月当時バヤナット(現スペース42)との協約および10月業務協約以後1年4ヶ月ぶりに終了したものだ。 A2Zはシンガポール合弁法人A2Gを通じてパートナーシップ構造設計とネットワーク構築を進め、中東進出基盤を設けた。
両社は合弁法人設立のために合計4百万ドルを共同出資し、8百万ドル規模のアブダビ自律走行プロジェクトを共同受注して推進する。主な事業には、レベル4の自律走行アクセシビリティの拡大、既存車両を自律走行車に改造するレトロフィットモデルの適用、V2X技術およびサービス提供などが含まれる。単純技術交流を超え、現地の自律走行商用化とスマートモビリティ生態系の構築が目標だ。

ハサン・アル・ホサニスペース42スマートソリューションCEOは、今回の合弁法人をUAE 'Autonomy 2.0'戦略を実現するための基盤として評価し、両社協力を通じてUAEがグローバル自律走行イノベーションのハブとして位置づけると明らかにした。

A2Z（CEO 韩智亨，以下简称 A2Z）于 20 日宣布，已于 19 日（当地时间）在阿布扎比与阿联酋人工智能太空技术公司 Space42 最终敲定成立本地自动驾驶合资企业。
两家公司于19日举行的“韩阿商业圆桌会议”上正式宣布成立合资企业。此次会议恰逢韩国总统李在明对阿联酋进行国事访问。韩阿两国官员出席了签约仪式，其中包括韩国副总理兼科学技术信息通信部部长裴京勋、A2Z副总裁柳炳勇以及Space42首席商务官苏莱曼·阿里。
这家合资企业的成立历时一年零四个月，从去年7月与Bayanat（现Space42）达成协议，到10月签署正式的商业协议，最终完成。通过这家新加坡合资企业，A2Z通过构建合作架构和拓展网络，为其进军中东市场奠定了基础。

A2Z (PDG Ji-hyung Han, ci-après A2Z) a annoncé le 20 qu'elle avait finalisé la création d'une coentreprise locale de conduite autonome avec Space42, une société de technologie spatiale d'IA aux Émirats arabes unis (EAU), à Abou Dhabi le 19 (heure locale).
Les deux entreprises ont officiellement annoncé la création de leur coentreprise lors de la table ronde d'affaires Corée-Émirats arabes unis, qui s'est tenue le 19, en marge de la visite d'État du président Lee Jae-myung aux Émirats arabes unis. Le contrat a été signé en présence de représentants officiels des deux pays, notamment le vice-Premier ministre et ministre des Sciences et des TIC, Bae Kyung-hoon, le vice-président d'A2Z, Yoo Byung-yong, et le directeur commercial de Space42, Sulaiman Al Ali.
La création de cette coentreprise a été finalisée un an et quatre mois après l'accord conclu avec Bayanat (désormais Space42) en juillet de l'année dernière et l'accord commercial signé en octobre. Grâce à cette coentreprise singapourienne, A2Z a jeté les bases de son expansion au Moyen-Orient en concevant la structure du partenariat et en développant un réseau.
Les deux entreprises investiront conjointement 4 millions de dollars pour créer une coentreprise et mener conjointement un projet de conduite autonome de 8 millions de dollars à Abou Dhabi. Les principaux projets comprennent l'élargissement de l'accès à la conduite autonome de niveau 4, la conversion de véhicules existants en véhicules autonomes et la fourniture de technologies et de services V2X. Au-delà d'un simple échange technologique, l'objectif est de commercialiser la conduite autonome localement et de bâtir un écosystème de mobilité intelligente.
Le projet se déroulera par étapes. Au cours du premier semestre de l'année prochaine, des essais et des modifications de conduite autonome, utilisant cinq Kia PV5, seront lancés à Abou Dhabi et à Dubaï. Par la suite, des ateliers et des programmes de recherche et développement seront menés en collaboration avec les autorités locales afin de développer les capacités de production et les infrastructures, et la commercialisation sera étendue à l'ensemble du Moyen-Orient.
Les Émirats arabes unis poursuivent une transformation vers une mobilité intelligente, Dubaï visant un taux de pénétration de véhicules autonomes de 25 % d'ici 2030 et Abou Dhabi une transition complète d'ici 2040.
