기술보증기금(이사장 김종호, 이하 기보)는 26일(수) 고양시 킨텍스에서 ‘아기·예비유니콘 성과공유회 및 IR 행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
‘제1회 벤처주간’의 일환으로 진행된 이번 행사는 기보 ‘아기·예비유니콘 육성 프로그램’의 주요 성과를 공유하고, 유망 혁신기업들이 미래 비전과 경쟁력을 알릴 수 있는 자리를 마련해 후속 민간투자 유치를 촉진하기 위해 추진됐다.
‘아기유니콘 육성사업’은 혁신적 사업모델과 성장성이 검증된 초기 스타트업을 발굴해 기업가치 1000억원 이상의 예비유니콘으로 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램으로, 최대 3억원의 시장개척자금과 최대 50억원의 특별보증을 지원한다. 기보는 이 사업을 통해 2020년부터 현재까지 총 350개 기업을 육성했으며, 이 중 18개 기업이 예비유니콘으로 성장했고, 9개 기업은 코스닥에 상장했다.
‘예비유니콘 특별보증 프로그램’은 기업가치 1000억원 이상 1조원 미만의 혁신기업을 대상으로 최대 200억원의 특별보증을 제공해 유니콘 기업으로의 도약을 지원하는 제도다. 기보는 2019년부터 현재까지 141개의 기업을 지원했으며, 이 가운데 8개 기업이 유니콘 기업으로 등극했고, 18개 기업은 코스닥에 상장하는 성과를 거뒀다.
이날 행사에는 육성 프로그램 참여기업과 투자자, 유관기관 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘으며, 지원제도 안내, 성과발표 세션과 IR 피칭 프로그램이 순차적으로 진행됐다.
성과발표 세션에는 ▲2025년 예비유니콘으로 선정된 ㈜콜로세움코퍼레이션 ▲2021년 예비유니콘으로 선정돼 코스닥에 상장한 ㈜엑셀세라퓨틱스 ▲2023년 아기유니콘으로 선정된 후 40억원의 투자를 유치한 ㈜브이에스팜텍 등 3개사가 참가해 성장 과정과 성과를 소개했다.
이어진 IR 행사에서는 ▲2024년 예비유니콘 ㈜퍼스트바이오테라퓨틱스 ▲2025년 아기유니콘 다임바이오(주) 및 ㈜미스터밀크 등이 자사 기술과 비즈니스 모델을 중심으로 IR 피칭을 진행했다. 또한 현장에서 민간 투자자들과 참여기업 간의 네트워킹도 활발히 이뤄졌다.
김종호 기보 이사장은 “글로벌 유니콘 프로젝트는 수많은 후속 투자 유치와 글로벌 진출을 견인해 온 대표적인 스케일업 프로그램으로 자리매김하고 있다”며, “기보는 앞으로도 아기·예비유니콘 기업에 대한 지원을 강화해 글로벌 벤처 4대 강국 실현에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kibo Holds Baby and Unicorn Performance Sharing Session and IR Event
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as KIBO) announced that it held the ‘Baby/Prospective Unicorn Performance Sharing Meeting and IR Event’ at KINTEX in Goyang City on Wednesday the 26th.
This event, held as part of the '1st Venture Week,' was promoted to share the major achievements of Kibo's 'Baby and Potential Unicorn Development Program' and to provide a venue for promising innovative companies to publicize their future vision and competitiveness, thereby promoting follow-up private investment.
The "Baby Unicorn Development Project" identifies early-stage startups with innovative business models and proven growth potential and helps them grow into potential unicorns with a corporate value of over KRW 100 billion. The program provides up to KRW 300 million in market development funding and up to KRW 5 billion in special guarantees. Through this program, KIBO has nurtured a total of 350 companies since 2020, of which 18 have become potential unicorns and nine have gone on to be listed on the KOSDAQ.
The "Pre-Unicorn Special Guarantee Program" provides special guarantees of up to 20 billion won to innovative companies with a corporate value of between 100 billion won and 1 trillion won, supporting their growth into unicorns. Since 2019, KIBO has supported 141 companies, of which eight have achieved unicorn status and 18 have gone on to be listed on the KOSDAQ.
The event was a great success, with approximately 100 people in attendance, including companies participating in the incubation program, investors, and officials from related organizations. The event included a presentation on the support system, a performance presentation session, and an IR pitching program.
The performance presentation session featured three companies: ▲Colosseum Corporation, selected as a prospective unicorn in 2025; ▲Excel Therapeutics, selected as a prospective unicorn in 2021 and listed on KOSDAQ; and ▲VSPharmtech, selected as a baby unicorn in 2023 and attracting 4 billion won in investment, introducing their growth processes and achievements.
At the subsequent IR event, companies such as First Biotherapeutics, a 2024 unicorn candidate, and Dimebio and Mister Milk, a 2025 baby unicorn, presented IR pitches focusing on their technologies and business models. Active networking between private investors and participating companies also took place on-site.
Kim Jong-ho, CEO of Kibo, said, “The Global Unicorn Project has established itself as a representative scale-up program that has attracted numerous follow-up investments and driven global expansion,” and added, “Kibo will continue to strengthen its support for baby and potential unicorn companies and contribute to the realization of Korea as one of the top four global venture powerhouses.”

「赤ちゃんユニコーン育成事業」は、革新的事業モデルと成長性が検証された初期スタートアップを発掘し、企業価値1000億ウォン以上の予備ユニコーンに成長できるようにするプログラムで、最大3億ウォンの市場開拓資金と最大50億ウォンの特別保証を支援する。ギボはこの事業を通じて2020年から現在まで合計350社を育成し、そのうち18社が予備ユニコーンに成長し、9社はコスダックに上場した。
「予備ユニコーン特別保証プログラム」は、企業価値1000億ウォン以上1兆ウォン未満の革新企業を対象に最大200億ウォンの特別保証を提供し、ユニコーン企業への跳躍を支援する制度だ。ギボは2019年から現在まで141社を支援し、このうち8社がユニコーン企業として登場し、18社はコスダックに上場する成果を収めた。

成果発表セッションには▲2025年予備ユニコーンに選定された(株)コロシアムコーポレーション▲2021年予備ユニコーンに選定され、コスダックに上場した(株)エクセルセラピュティクス▲2023年赤ちゃんユニコーンに選定された後40億ウォンの投資を誘致した。コースと成果を紹介した。
続いたIRイベントでは、▲2024年予備ユニコーン(株)ファーストバイオテラピュティクス▲2025年赤ちゃんユニコーンダイムバイオ(株)及び(株)ミスターミルクなどが自社技術とビジネスモデルを中心にIRピッチングを行った。また、現場で民間投資家と参加企業間のネットワーキングも活発に行われた。
キム・ジョンホ記者理事長は「グローバルユニコーンプロジェクトは数多くの後続投資誘致とグローバル進出を牽引してきた代表的なスケールアッププログラムとして位置づけている」とし、「起報は今後も赤ちゃん・予備ユニコーン企業に対する支援を強化してグローバルベンチャー4大強国実現に貢献する」と明らかにした。

La Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, président Kim Jong-ho, ci-après dénommée KIBO) a annoncé avoir tenu la « réunion de partage de performances et l'événement IR Baby/Prospective Unicorn » au KINTEX de Goyang City le mercredi 26.
Cet événement, organisé dans le cadre de la « 1ère Semaine de l'entrepreneuriat », visait à partager les principales réalisations du « Programme de développement des jeunes entreprises et des licornes potentielles » de Kibo et à offrir un lieu aux entreprises innovantes prometteuses pour faire connaître leur vision d'avenir et leur compétitivité, favorisant ainsi les investissements privés ultérieurs.
Le programme « Baby Unicorn Development Project » repère les jeunes entreprises innovantes dotées de modèles économiques performants et d'un fort potentiel de croissance, et les accompagne dans leur développement jusqu'à devenir des licornes potentielles, valorisées à plus de 100 milliards de wons (KRW). Ce programme leur offre jusqu'à 300 millions de KRW de financement pour le développement de leur marché et jusqu'à 5 milliards de KRW de garanties spécifiques. Depuis 2020, KIBO a accompagné 350 entreprises grâce à ce programme ; parmi elles, 18 sont devenues des licornes potentielles et neuf sont cotées au KOSDAQ.
Le programme « Pré-Licorne – Garantie Spéciale » offre des garanties exceptionnelles pouvant atteindre 20 milliards de wons aux entreprises innovantes dont la valeur se situe entre 100 milliards et 1 000 milliards de wons, afin de les accompagner dans leur transformation en licornes. Depuis 2019, KIBO a soutenu 141 entreprises, dont huit ont atteint le statut de licorne et 18 sont désormais cotées au KOSDAQ.
