AI 기반 인지 솔루션 전문기업 뷰런테크놀로지(대표 김재광, 이하 뷰런)는 김재광 대표가 ‘초격차 스타트업 1000+ 프로젝트(DIPS 1000+)’ 수행 성과를 인정받아 중소벤처기업부 장관 표창을 수상했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 표창은 중소벤처기업부가 시스템반도체, 바이오, 미래 모빌리티 등 10대 신산업 분야 딥테크 스타트업 1,000개사 이상을 육성하기 위해 추진 중인 국가 전략 사업의 성과를 평가, 우수한 수행 실적을 거둔 창업기업 대표에게 수여하는 정부 포상이다.
뷰런은 지난해 5월 프로젝트 대상 기업으로 선정되어 3년간 최대 6억 원의 사업화 자금을 지원받고 있다. 특히 라이다(LiDAR) 인지 기술 상용화와 자율주행 기술 국산화 성과가 별도 평가에서도 인정되며 이번 표창을 수상했다.
김재광 대표는 라이다 단일 센서 기반 자율주행 임시운행 면허(한국·미국)를 취득했으며, 이를 기반으로 라이다 인지 솔루션 ‘뷰원(VueOne)’과 도시 안전·군중 분석 솔루션 ‘뷰투(VueTwo)’의 상용화를 추진해왔다. 최근에는 AI 개발 전 과정을 처리할 수 있는 플랫폼 ‘뷰엑스(VueX)’를 선보이며 비전문가도 웹 기반 환경에서 AI 모델을 구축할 수 있는 체계를 마련했다.
뷰런의 기술은 라이다 인지·스마트 인프라 분야 기술 생태계 구축과 글로벌 제조사 및 부품기업과의 협력을 통한 B2B 라이선스 모델 확립으로 이어지고 있다. 뷰투는 지자체 교차로 안전 시스템과 군중 분석 환경 등 공공 인프라 분야에도 적용되고 있다.
뷰런은 CES, Tech.AD, World Smart City Expo 등 국제 기술 어워드에서 6회 수상하며 글로벌 시장 경쟁력을 강화하고 있으며, 지난해 시리즈 A 라운드에서 220억 원을 유치해 누적 투자액 330억 원을 달성했다. 내년 1월 ‘CES 2026’에서 VueX 실시간 데모와 산업별 적용 사례를 공개할 예정이다.

Viewrun Technology Receives Minister of SMEs and Startups Award for Outstanding Achievement in "1000+ Ultra-Gap Startups"
Viewrun Technology (CEO Jae-kwang Kim, hereinafter Viewrun) , an AI-based cognitive solution specialist, announced on the 4th that CEO Jae-kwang Kim received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups in recognition of his performance in the 'DIPS 1000+ Project for Super Gap Startups'.
This award is a government award presented to the CEO of a startup company that has achieved excellent performance by evaluating the performance of a national strategic project being promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to foster more than 1,000 deep-tech startups in 10 new industries, including system semiconductors, bio, and future mobility.
Viewrun was selected as a project target company in May of last year and is receiving up to 600 million won in commercialization funding over three years. CEO Kim Jae-kwang obtained a temporary autonomous driving operation license (Korea and the US) based on a single LiDAR sensor, and based on this, he has been promoting the commercialization of the LiDAR perception solution 'VueOne' and the urban safety and crowd analysis solution 'VueTwo'. Recently, he introduced 'VueX', a platform that can handle the entire AI development process, establishing a system that allows even non-experts to build AI models in a web-based environment.
Viewrun's technology is leading to the establishment of a technology ecosystem for lidar perception and smart infrastructure, and a B2B licensing model through collaborations with global manufacturers and component companies. Viewrun is also being applied to public infrastructure, such as local government intersection safety systems and crowd analysis environments.
VueX has strengthened its global market competitiveness by winning six international technology awards, including CES, Tech.AD, and the World Smart City Expo . Last year, the company secured 22 billion won in Series A funding , bringing its total investment to 33 billion won. VueX plans to unveil a live demo and industry-specific application examples at CES 2026 in January next year.
CEO Kim Jae-kwang said, “It is meaningful that our consistent efforts to localize and globally expand lidar recognition technology have been recognized,” and added, “We will continue to innovate to enhance the safety and perfection of autonomous driving technology and expand the role of Korean technology in the global market.”
