에듀테크 기업 다비다는 12월 11일, 남아프리카공화국의 IT 교육 전문기업 SAADC와 인공지능 기반 자기주도 학습 솔루션 지니티처의 독점 공급 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 계약은 한국 에듀테크 기술력이 글로벌 교육 격차 해소에 기여할 수 있음을 보여주는 사례로 평가된다.
계약 성사는 지난 10월 미국 샌프란시스코에서 열린 TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 행사에서 시작됐다. 다비다는 신한금융희망재단 주관 2025 신한 스퀘어브릿지 인천 글로벌 프로그램에 참가하며 SAADC 관계자와 첫 접점을 맺었고, 이후 두 달간 화상 회의를 통해 지니티처 데모 시연, 기술 질의응답, 파트너십 조건 조율을 진행했다.
SAADC는 남아공 내 공교육과 직업훈련 디지털 전환을 선도하는 기업으로, 지니티처가 태블릿과 종이 필기, 스마트폰 촬영 입력 등 다양한 입력 수단을 제공해 인터넷 환경이 제한적인 지역에서도 학습이 가능하다는 점을 높이 평가했다. 지니티처는 학생 필기 내용을 실시간 디지털화하고, AI 기반 분석으로 맞춤형 피드백과 학습 가이드를 제공하며, 교육자는 학습 진행 상황을 실시간 모니터링할 수 있다.
한편 다비다는 한국, 캄보디아, 브라질, 스페인, UAE에서 초기 셋업과 현지화 테스트를 완료했으며, 2026년 초 정식 런칭을 목표로 한다. 사우디아라비아, 이집트, 바레인, 코트디부아르에서도 셋업이 진행 중이며, 일본, 태국, 미국 등에서는 잠재 고객사와 협의를 이어가고 있다.

Edtech company Davida announced on December 11th that it had signed an exclusive distribution agreement with South African IT education specialist SAADC for its AI-based self-directed learning solution, Genie Teacher. This agreement is seen as a prime example of how Korean edtech technology can contribute to bridging the global education gap.
The contract signing began at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 event held in San Francisco last October. Davida first met with SAADC officials while participating in the 2025 Shinhan Square Bridge Incheon Global Program, hosted by the Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation. Over the next two months, they held video conferences to demonstrate Genie Teacher, answer technical questions, and coordinate partnership terms.
SAADC, a leading company in the digital transformation of public education and vocational training in South Africa, praised GenieTeacher for its diverse input methods, including tablets, paper notes, and smartphone photo input, enabling learning even in areas with limited internet access. GenieTeacher digitizes student notes in real time, provides personalized feedback and learning guides through AI-based analytics, and allows educators to monitor learning progress in real time.
Meanwhile, Davida has completed initial setup and localization testing in Korea, Cambodia, Brazil, Spain, and the UAE, and aims for an official launch in early 2026. Setup is also underway in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and Côte d'Ivoire, and discussions with potential customers are ongoing in Japan, Thailand, and the United States.

La société EdTech Davida a annoncé le 11 décembre avoir signé un accord de distribution exclusif avec SAADC, spécialiste sud-africain des technologies de l'information pour l'éducation, concernant sa solution d'apprentissage autonome basée sur l'intelligence artificielle, Genie Teacher. Parallèlement, Davida a finalisé la configuration initiale et les tests de localisation en Corée, au Cambodge, au Brésil, en Espagne et aux Émirats arabes unis, et vise un lancement officiel début 2026. La configuration est également en cours en Arabie saoudite, en Égypte, à Bahreïn et en Côte d'Ivoire, et des discussions sont en cours avec des clients potentiels au Japon, en Thaïlande et aux États-Unis.
