인공지능 데이터 및 솔루션 기업 플리토는 미국 캘리포니아주 레드우드시티에서 열린 ‘2026 UKF 82 스타트업 서밋’에 참여해 고도화된 인터페이스를 적용한 AI 통번역 솔루션을 선보였다고 밝혔다.
UKF 82 스타트업 서밋은 한인창업자연합 주도로 개최되는 글로벌 스타트업 행사로, 전 세계에서 활동 중인 한인 및 한국계 창업자와 투자자, 산업계 관계자들이 참여한다. 행사 기간 동안 스타트업 피칭과 세미나 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행됐다.
플리토는 주요 세션에서 AI 통번역 솔루션을 운영해 한국어 발표를 영어로 실시간 번역해 메인 화면에 제공했다. 영어 발표의 경우에는 참가자들이 개인 모바일 기기를 통해 다국어 번역을 확인할 수 있도록 지원했다. 플리토는 지난해부터 UKF 행사에서 AI 통번역 솔루션을 연속적으로 적용해 왔다.
이번 행사에서는 원문과 번역문을 동시에 확인할 수 있는 병렬 배치 기능을 새롭게 선보였다. 참가자들은 모바일이나 웹 환경에서 발표 원문과 번역문을 함께 확인할 수 있어 언어 이해도를 높일 수 있었다. 이 기능은 다양한 언어권 참가자들의 접근성을 개선하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.
플리토는 현장 운영과 함께 B2C 통번역 솔루션 체험도 연계했다. 참가자들은 QR코드를 통해 별도 페이지에 접속해 개인 환경에서도 AI 통번역 기능을 사용할 수 있도록 안내받았다.
