기술보증기금(이사장 김종호, 이하 ‘기보’)은 10일(토) 미국 캘리포니아주 레드우드시티에서 개최된 ‘UKF 82 Startup Summit 2026’ 현장에서 미주한인창업자연합(United Korean Founders, 이하 ‘UKF’)과 ‘글로벌 K-스타트업 발굴·육성 및 투자연계 협력을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 기보가 실리콘밸리 지점 개소를 계기로, 미국 창업·투자 생태계와의 연계를 강화하고 UKF와 협력해 국내 기술중소기업의 글로벌 진출과 투자 유치를 위한 지원체계를 구축하고자 마련됐다.
UKF는 실리콘밸리를 중심으로 한인 창업자와 투자자 등 약 1500명 규모의 회원 네트워크를 보유한 비영리단체로, 2024년 설립 이후 국내 스타트업의 미국 진출과 글로벌 확산을 지원하고 있다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲국내 유망 중소기업 발굴 ▲미국 투자자·액셀러레이터 연계를 통한 투자유치 지원 ▲현지 진출기업 대상 창업·기술·사업화·투자 분야 멘토링 및 정보교류 ▲세미나·포럼 등 공동 행사 개최를 포함해 다양한 분야에서 협업을 추진한다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 국내 스타트업의 미국 시장 진출을 체계적으로 지원하고, 이들이 글로벌 시장에서 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 협력을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
김종호 기보 이사장은 “이번 협약은 국내 기술기업이 미국 창업·투자 생태계에 보다 원활하게 진입할 수 있는 실질적인 협력 기반을 마련했다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며, “기보는 앞으로도 글로벌 네트워크와의 전략적 협업을 확대해 국내 중소기업의 해외 진출을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kibo Signs MOU with Korean-American Entrepreneurs Association
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Chairman Jong-ho Kim, hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced on Saturday the 10th that it signed a “Business Agreement for Cooperation in Discovering, Nurturing, and Investment Linking Global K-Startups” with the United Korean Founders (UKF) at the “UKF 82 Startup Summit 2026” held in Redwood City, California, USA.
This agreement was established to strengthen Kibo's ties with the U.S. startup and investment ecosystem, in conjunction with the opening of its Silicon Valley branch, and to establish a support system for domestic technology SMEs to advance into the global market and attract investment in cooperation with UKF.
UKF is a non-profit organization with a network of approximately 1,500 Korean entrepreneurs and investors, primarily based in Silicon Valley. Since its establishment in 2024, it has been supporting Korean startups' entry into the US market and global expansion.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will pursue collaboration in various fields, including ▲discovering promising domestic small and medium-sized enterprises ▲supporting investment attraction through linkages with U.S. investors and accelerators ▲mentoring and exchanging information in the fields of startups, technology, commercialization, and investment for companies entering the local market ▲hosting joint events such as seminars and forums.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to systematically support domestic startups entering the U.S. market and strengthen cooperation to help them secure competitiveness in the global market.
Kim Jong-ho, CEO of Kibo, said, “This agreement is significant in that it provides a practical foundation for cooperation that will allow domestic technology companies to more smoothly enter the U.S. startup and investment ecosystem,” and added, “Kibo will continue to expand strategic collaboration with global networks to actively support the overseas expansion of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises.”

キム・ジョンホ記者理事長は「今回の協約は国内技術企業が米国創業・投資生態系によりスムーズに進入できる実質的な協力基盤を設けたという点で意味が大きい」とし、「記事は今後もグローバルネットワークとの戦略的協業を拡大して国内中小企業の海外進出を積極的に支援した」と話した。

韩国科技金融公司（韩国科技金融公司，董事长金钟浩，以下简称“KIBO”）于10日星期六宣布，在加利福尼亚州雷德伍德城举行的“UKF 82创业峰会2026”上，该公司与韩国联合创业者协会（UKF）签署了“全球K-Startups发现、培育和投资合作业务协议”。
该协议的建立是为了加强 Kibo 与美国创业和投资生态系统的联系，配合其硅谷分公司的开设，并与 UKF 合作，为国内科技中小企业进军全球市场、吸引投资建立支持体系。

La Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, président Jong-ho Kim, ci-après dénommée « KIBO ») a annoncé samedi 10 avoir signé un « accord commercial de coopération pour la découverte, le développement et l'investissement de startups coréennes mondiales » avec United Korean Founders (UKF) lors du « UKF 82 Startup Summit 2026 » qui s'est tenu à Redwood City, en Californie, aux États-Unis.
Cet accord a été établi pour renforcer les liens de Kibo avec l'écosystème américain des startups et des investissements, parallèlement à l'ouverture de sa succursale dans la Silicon Valley, et pour mettre en place un système de soutien aux PME technologiques nationales afin de leur permettre de progresser sur le marché mondial et d'attirer des investissements en coopération avec UKF.
UKF est une organisation à but non lucratif qui regroupe environ 1 500 entrepreneurs et investisseurs coréens, principalement basés dans la Silicon Valley. Depuis sa création en 2024, elle soutient l’entrée sur le marché américain et l’expansion internationale des startups coréennes.
Selon l'accord, les deux organisations collaboreront dans divers domaines, notamment : ▲la découverte de PME locales prometteuses ; ▲le soutien à l'attraction des investissements grâce à des liens avec des investisseurs et des accélérateurs américains ; ▲le mentorat et l'échange d'informations dans les domaines des startups, de la technologie, de la commercialisation et de l'investissement pour les entreprises entrant sur le marché local ; ▲l'organisation d'événements conjoints tels que des séminaires et des forums.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations prévoient de soutenir systématiquement les jeunes entreprises nationales qui souhaitent entrer sur le marché américain et de renforcer leur coopération afin de les aider à garantir leur compétitivité sur le marché mondial.
Kim Jong-ho, PDG de Kibo, a déclaré : « Cet accord est important car il fournit une base concrète de coopération qui permettra aux entreprises technologiques nationales d'intégrer plus facilement l'écosystème américain des startups et des investissements », et a ajouté : « Kibo continuera de développer sa collaboration stratégique avec les réseaux mondiaux afin de soutenir activement l'expansion à l'étranger des petites et moyennes entreprises nationales. »
