우주·시스템 솔루션 전문기업 컨텍은 덴마크 혁신센터가 주관하는 글로벌 혁신 네트워크 프로그램의 우주 분야 핵심 파트너로 선정됐다고 27일 밝혔다.
글로벌 혁신 네트워크 프로그램에는 한국항공우주연구원, 한국천문연구원, 한국과학기술원 등 국내 주요 국책 연구기관이 참여하고 있으며, 민간 기업으로는 컨텍이 유일하게 선정됐다. 이번 파트너 선정은 공공 연구기관과 함께 협력할 수 있는 기술 경쟁력과 글로벌 사업 수행 역량을 공식적으로 인정받은 결과로 평가된다.
컨텍은 이번 선정을 계기로 오르후스 대학교와 덴마크 국립우주연구소 등 덴마크 핵심 연구기관과 협력해 호라이즌 유럽과 유레카 등 유럽연합 대형 연구개발 프로그램 참여를 위한 컨소시엄을 구성할 계획이다.
이를 통해 유럽의 대규모 우주 연구개발 자금을 활용해 기술성숙도 3단계부터 7단계까지의 기술 고도화와 사업화를 동시에 추진하고, 진입 장벽이 높은 유럽 우주 시장 진출을 가속화할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다는 분석이 나온다.
또한 컨텍은 자사가 주최하는 글로벌 우주 컨퍼런스 ISS 2026을 한·덴마크 협력의 주요 무대로 활용할 방침이다. 행사 내 덴마크 파빌리온 유치가 논의 중이며, 이를 통해 덴마크 우주 기업의 한국 진출을 지원하는 동시에 컨텍의 지상국 서비스와 광학 지상국 솔루션을 유럽 파트너들에게 소개해 글로벌 고객사 확대를 추진할 계획이다.
컨텍 관계자는 국내 주요 연구기관들과 함께 한국을 대표하는 우주 기업으로 선정된 만큼 이번 파트너십을 기반으로 유럽 내 사업 기반을 체계적으로 구축해 나갈 것이라며, 연구개발 자금 확보와 글로벌 네트워크 확장을 통해 실질적인 매출 성장과 기업가치 제고로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 밝혔다.

Contec, Hangwooyeon, and KAIST join the "National Space Team"
Contec, a space and systems solutions specialist, announced on the 27th that it has been selected as a key space partner for the Global Innovation Network program hosted by the Danish Innovation Center.
Major domestic national research institutes, including the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), are participating in the Global Innovation Network program. Contec is the only private company selected. This partnership is considered an official recognition of Contec's technological competitiveness and global business capabilities, enabling collaboration with public research institutions.
With this selection, Contec plans to form a consortium with key Danish research institutions, including Aarhus University and the Danish National Space Research Institute, to participate in large-scale European Union research and development programs such as Horizon Europe and Eureka.
Through this, the analysis suggests that the foundation has been laid to simultaneously promote technological advancement and commercialization from levels 3 to 7 of technological maturity by utilizing large-scale space research and development funds from Europe, and to accelerate entry into the European space market, which has high barriers to entry.
Furthermore, Contec plans to utilize the ISS 2026 global space conference, hosted by the company, as a key platform for Korea-Denmark cooperation. Discussions are underway to host a Danish pavilion at the event, which will support the expansion of Danish space companies into Korea and introduce Contec's ground station services and optical ground station solutions to European partners, thereby expanding its global client base.
A Contec official stated that, as a representative space company of Korea, along with major domestic research institutes, they will systematically build a business base in Europe based on this partnership, and will strive to secure research and development funds and expand their global network to lead to tangible sales growth and increased corporate value.

宇宙・システムソリューション専門企業コンテクは、デンマークイノベーションセンターが主管するグローバルイノベーションネットワークプログラムの宇宙分野の核心パートナーとして選ばれたと27日明らかにした。

コンテックは今回の選定をきっかけにオルフス大学やデンマーク国立宇宙研究所などデンマーク核心研究機関と協力してホライゾンヨーロッパやユーレカなど欧州連合大型研究開発プログラム参加のためのコンソーシアムを構成する計画だ。
これにより、ヨーロッパの大規模宇宙研究開発資金を活用して技術成熟度3段階から7段階までの技術高度化と事業化を同時に推進し、進入障壁の高い欧州宇宙市場進出を加速化できる基盤を設けたという分析が出ている。
また、コンテクは自社が主催するグローバル宇宙カンファレンスISS 2026を韓・デンマーク協力の主な舞台に活用する方針だ。イベント内でデンマークパビリオン誘致が議論中であり、これを通じてデンマーク宇宙企業の韓国進出を支援するとともに、コンテクの地上局サービスと光学地上局ソリューションを欧州パートナーに紹介し、グローバル顧客企業拡大を推進する計画だ。

Contec, spécialiste des solutions spatiales et systèmes, a annoncé le 27 avoir été sélectionné comme partenaire spatial clé pour le programme Global Innovation Network hébergé par le Centre d'innovation danois.
Les principaux instituts de recherche nationaux coréens, dont l'Institut coréen de recherche aérospatiale (KOARI), l'Institut coréen d'astronomie et des sciences spatiales (KAIST) et l'Institut supérieur coréen des sciences et technologies (KAIST), participent au programme Réseau mondial d'innovation. Contec est la seule entreprise privée sélectionnée. Ce partenariat constitue une reconnaissance officielle de la compétitivité technologique et des capacités commerciales internationales de Contec, et favorise la collaboration avec les institutions de recherche publiques.
Grâce à cette sélection, Contec prévoit de former un consortium avec des institutions de recherche danoises clés, notamment l'Université d'Aarhus et l'Institut national danois de recherche spatiale, afin de participer à des programmes de recherche et développement de grande envergure de l'Union européenne tels que Horizon Europe et Eureka.
L'analyse suggère ainsi que les bases ont été posées pour promouvoir simultanément le progrès technologique et la commercialisation des niveaux 3 à 7 de maturité technologique en utilisant des fonds importants de recherche et de développement spatial provenant d'Europe, et pour accélérer l'entrée sur le marché spatial européen, qui présente des barrières à l'entrée élevées.
Par ailleurs, Contec prévoit d'utiliser la conférence spatiale mondiale ISS 2026, qu'elle organise, comme plateforme clé pour la coopération entre la Corée et le Danemark. Des discussions sont en cours pour la création d'un pavillon danois lors de cet événement, ce qui favorisera l'expansion des entreprises spatiales danoises en Corée et permettra de présenter les services de stations au sol et les solutions optiques de Contec à ses partenaires européens, élargissant ainsi sa clientèle internationale.
Un responsable de Contec a déclaré qu'en tant qu'entreprise spatiale représentative de la Corée, en collaboration avec les principaux instituts de recherche nationaux, ils construiront systématiquement une base commerciale en Europe sur la base de ce partenariat et s'efforceront d'obtenir des fonds pour la recherche et le développement et d'étendre leur réseau mondial afin de générer une croissance tangible des ventes et une valeur d'entreprise accrue.
