반도체 및 디스플레이 소재·부품 전문 기업 와이엠씨(YMC)는 미래 기술 경쟁력 강화를 위해 미국 실리콘밸리 소재 반도체 장비 스타트업 삼바 솔루션즈(Samba Solutions, Inc.)에 100만달러 규모의 전략적 투자를 단행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 투자는 삼바 솔루션즈의 프리시리즈A(시리즈 시드) 라운드의 일환으로 진행됐다. 삼바 솔루션즈는 글로벌 반도체 장비 기업 출신 인력들이 주축이 된 스타트업으로, 혁신적인 건식 식각(Dry Etching) 기술을 기반으로 업계의 주목을 받고 있다.
