기술보증기금(이사장 김종호, 이하 ‘기보’)은 ㈜이노보테라퓨틱스, ㈜큐로젠, ㈜킴셀앤진, ㈜프로엔테라퓨틱스 등 바이오 벤처기업 4개사를 ‘IP-Value 강소기업’으로 선정하고, 각 기업이 보유한 신약 후보물질에 대한 가치평가 결과를 반영해 각 기업당 10억원 규모의 ‘우수 IP 가치플러스 보증’(이하 ‘가치플러스 보증’)을 지원했다고 30일(금) 밝혔다.
가치플러스 보증은 기보 중앙기술평가원이 대학, 공공연구기관, 협약기관 등과 협력해 고부가가치 첨단기술 기반의 지식재산(IP)을 발굴하고, 기술가치평가를 바탕으로 산출된 가치금액 내에서 사업화 자금을 지원하는 맞춤형 보증상품이다. 기보는 고난도 기술가치평가를 통해 우수 IP로 선정된 기업을 대상으로 IP-Value 강소기업 선정서를 수여하고 있다.
이번에 선정된 4개 기업은 기보와 국가신약개발재단(사업단장 박영민, 이하 ‘재단’)이 국가신약개발사업 협약 과제를 통해 공동 발굴한 바이오 분야 유망기업이다. 선정서 수여식은 서울 마포구 재단 본사에서 기보 이재필 이사, 재단 박영민 사업단장, 선정기업 대표 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
㈜이노보테라퓨틱스(대표 박희동)는 2019년 설립된 기업으로, 합성신약 기반의 경구용 궤양성 대장염 치료제를 개발하고 있다. 해당 물질은 재생억제 효소인 15-PGDH를 저해시켜 장 점막 내 프로스타글란딘E2(PGE2)의 생리적 농도를 높여 조직 재생을 유도하는 방식이며, 현재 전임상을 완료하고 임상시험계획(IND) 승인을 준비 중이다.
㈜큐로젠(대표 이창우)은 2019년 설립된 기업으로, 염증 및 자가면역 반응을 조절하는 핵심 기전을 선택적으로 억제하는 혁신 신약을 개발하고 있으며, 현재 전임상 단계에 있다.
㈜킴셀앤진(대표 김효수)은 2020년 설립된 기업으로, 염증을 유발하는 리지스틴의 캡(CAP1) 수용체를 통한 신호전달을 차단하는 단일클론 항체 기반 신약 후보물질을 보유하고 있다. 해당 물질은 염증성 장질환 치료를 목표로 하며, 전임상 진입을 앞두고 있다.
㈜프로엔테라퓨틱스(대표 이일한)는 2015년 설립된 기업으로, 표피성장인자수용체(EGFR)를 표적으로 하는 항체약물접합체(ADC) 기반 전이성 말기 대장암 치료제를 개발 중이다. 핵심기술인 ‘ArtBody’는 ADC뿐 아니라, 진단과 치료를 동시에 수행하는 테라노스틱스(Theranostics) 기술로의 확장 가능성도 갖추고 있다.
기보는 이번 보증 지원과 함께 ▲보증료 감면 ▲기술특례상장 사전진단평가 무상지원 ▲투자용 기술평가 인증 등 다양한 우대 혜택을 통해 우수 기술의 사업화를 적극 지원할 계획이다.
이재필 기보 이사는 “신약 개발은 회수기간이 길고 리스크가 높아 기존 금융방식으로는 지원에 한계가 있다”며, “기보는 앞으로도 유관기관과의 협력을 통해 우수 바이오 벤처기업을 적극 발굴하고, 기술이 성공적인 사업화로 이어질 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kibo selects four bio ventures as "IP-Value Powerhouses."

Our core technology, "ArtBody," has the potential to expand beyond ADCs to theranostics , a technology that simultaneously performs diagnosis and treatment .

バリュープラス保証は棋保中央技術評価院が大学、公共研究機関、条約機関などと協力して 高付加価値先端技術基盤の知的財産（IP）を発掘し、技術価値評価をもとに算出された 価値金額内で事業化資金を支援するカスタマイズされた保証商品だ。ギボは高難度技術価値評価を通じて優秀IPに選ばれた企業を対象にIP-Value江蘇企業選定書を授与している。
今回選ばれた4つの企業は、ギボと国家新薬開発財団（事業団長パク・ヨンミン、以下「財団」）が国家新薬開発事業協約課題を通じて共同発掘したバイオ分野の有望企業だ。選定書授与式はソウル麻浦区財団本社で棋保イ・ジェピル理事、財団パク・ヨンミン事業団長、選定企業 代表などが出席した中で行われた。
㈱イノボテラピュティクス（代表パク・ヒドン）は2019年に設立された企業で、合成新薬基盤の経口用 潰瘍性大腸炎治療薬を開発しています。物質は再生抑制酵素である15-PGDHです。 阻害して腸粘膜内プロスタグランジンE2（PGE2）の生理的濃度を高めて組織再生を 誘導する方式であり、現在前臨床を完了して臨床試験計画（IND）承認を準備中である。

(株)キムセルアンジン(代表キム・ヒョス)は2020年設立された企業で、炎症を誘発するリジスチンのキャップ(CAP1)受容体を介したシグナル伝達を遮断するモノクローナル抗体ベースの新薬候補物質を保有している。この物質は炎症性腸疾患の治療を目指し、前臨床進入を控えている。
(株)プロエンテラピュティクス(代表イイルハン)は2015年設立された企業で、表皮成長因子受容体(EGFR)を 標的とする抗体薬物接合体（ＡＤＣ）ベースの転移性末期大腸癌治療剤を開発中である。コア技術である「ArtBody」はADCだけでなく、診断と治療を同時に行うテラノスティックス技術への拡張可能性も備えている。
ギボは今回の保証支援とともに▲保証料減免 ▲技術特例上場事前診断評価無償支援 計画だ。
イ・ジェピル起報理事は「新薬開発は回収期間が長く、リスクが高く、既存の金融方式では支援に限界がある」とし、「起報は今後も関連機関との協力を通じて優秀なバイオベンチャー企業を積極的に発掘し、技術が成功した事業化につながるよう支援を惜しまない。 しない」と明らかにした。
