덴탈·메디컬 솔루션 기업 덴티스(대표 심기봉)가 과학기술정보통신부로부터 첨단기술기업으로 지정됐다. 이번 지정으로 덴티스는 향후 5년간 법인세 감면과 지방세 혜택을 포함해 약 100억 원 규모의 세제 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
첨단기술기업 지정은 ‘연구개발특구의 육성에 관한 특별법’에 따라 연구개발특구 내 입주 기업 중 첨단기술 분야의 특허 경쟁력, 연구개발 역량, 기술 사업화 성과를 종합적으로 평가해 선정된다. 지정 기업은 법인세, 취득세, 재산세 등 세제 혜택을 통해 연구개발 재투자와 기술 고도화를 지원받는다.
덴티스는 2024년 대구 동구 율암로에 덴탈 사업부 신공장을 건설하며 대구혁신도시 내 연구개발특구에 편입됐다. 이번 첨단기술기업 지정은 연구개발특구 내 입지 요건을 충족함에 따라 이루어졌다.
지정 과정에서 덴티스는 임플란트 및 제조방법 기술의 기술적·경제적 경쟁력을 인정받았다. 임플란트 응력 분산을 고려한 나사 디자인 기술은 기존 대비 진보성과 차별성을 확보했으며, 동물실험을 통해 골유착 안정성을 입증했다. 또한 Osstell Mentor(ISQ 70 이상), AnyCheck(IST 80 이상) 등 주요 정량 지표에서도 우수한 성과를 기록했다.
첨단기술기업 지정으로 덴티스는 향후 3년간 법인세 100% 면제, 이후 2년간 50% 감면 혜택을 받으며, 취득세와 재산세 등 지방세 감면도 적용된다. 회사는 이를 수익성 개선과 연구개발 재투자에 활용할 계획이다.

Dentis (CEO Ki-bong Shim), a dental and medical solutions company, has been designated as a high-tech company by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Dentis will build a new dental business plant on Yulam-ro, Dong-gu, Daegu in 2024 and be incorporated into the Daegu Innovation City Research and Development Special Zone. This designation as a high-tech company was achieved by meeting the requirements for location within the R&D Special Zone.
During the designation process, Dentis was recognized for its technological and economic competitiveness in implant and manufacturing technologies. The screw design technology, which considers implant stress distribution, demonstrated advancements and differentiation compared to existing technologies, and animal testing demonstrated osseointegration stability. Furthermore, Dentis achieved outstanding results in key quantitative indicators, including Osstell Mentor (ISQ 70 or higher) and AnyCheck (IST 80 or higher).
With its designation as a high-tech company, Dentis will receive a 100% corporate tax exemption for the next three years and a 50% reduction for the following two years. It will also receive reductions in local taxes, including acquisition and property taxes. The company plans to utilize these benefits to improve profitability and reinvest in research and development.
A Dentis representative stated that this designation is the result of official recognition of the implant technology and industry positioning accumulated over 20 years, and that the company will pursue enhanced profitability and sustainable growth based on the secured financial capacity.
