엠투아이는 산업용 보안 전문기업 센스톤과 산업용 보안 솔루션 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양사는 엠투아이의 산업용 게이트웨이 제품에 센스톤의 OTAC(One-Time Authentication Code) 솔루션을 적용하고, OTAC 기술 기반의 산업용(OT) 보안 솔루션 공동 개발, 프로젝트 수주에 대한 우선 협력, 공동 마케팅 등을 추진할 예정이다.
양사의 협력은 이미 가시적인 성과로 이어지고 있다. 엠투아이는 기존 PLC나 HMI 등 레거시 시스템을 변경하지 않고도 OTAC 인증 솔루션을 적용할 수 있는 OTAC Gateway를 개발했으며, 이를 기반으로 OT 엔드포인트 식별·인증 솔루션인 OTAC Trust Access Gateway(TAG)를 센스톤과 공동 공급하고 있다. 해당 제품은 올해 1분기 중 공기업을 대상으로 판매될 예정이다.
센스톤은 산업 현장의 OT 환경에서 사용자와 단말의 접속 시점을 직접 식별·인증하는 엔드포인트 중심 보안 기술을 보유하고 있다. 레거시 환경의 설정 변경 없이 적용 가능한 인증 구조를 통해 원격 및 현장 접속 과정에서 발생하는 접근 리스크를 제로트러스트 관점에서 통제한다. 핵심 기술인 OTAC는 서버와의 실시간 통신 없이 단방향 인증이 가능한 방식으로, 다수의 글로벌 특허를 확보하고 있다.
엠투아이 관계자는 AI 자율제조 환경 구현을 위해 자동화 설비, 로봇, 제어기, AI 기술 간 유기적 결합이 필요하다고 설명하며, 그동안 로봇 및 물류 자동화 기업 투자와 인수, 외부 협력을 통해 스마트팩토리 토탈 솔루션과 AI 협력 체계를 구축해 왔다고 밝혔다. 이어 보안이 확보되지 않은 자율제조 환경은 리스크로 이어질 수 있는 만큼, 이번 협력이 공정 전반의 보안 신뢰성을 강화하고 AI 자율제조 경쟁력을 높이는 계기가 될 것이라고 덧붙였다.
M2I and Senstone Sign MOU for Collaboration on Industrial Security Solutions
M2I announced on the 4th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with industrial security specialist Senstone for cooperation on industrial security solutions.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to apply Senstone's OTAC (One-Time Authentication Code) solution to M2I's industrial gateway products, jointly develop industrial (OT) security solutions based on OTAC technology, prioritize cooperation in project acquisition, and pursue joint marketing.
The collaboration between the two companies is already yielding tangible results. M2I has developed the OTAC Gateway, which enables OTAC authentication solutions to be applied to legacy systems like PLCs and HMIs without requiring any modifications. Building on this, M2I is jointly supplying the OTAC Trust Access Gateway (TAG), an OT endpoint identification and authentication solution, with Senstone. The product is scheduled to be available to public enterprises in the first quarter of this year.
Senstone possesses endpoint-centric security technology that directly identifies and authenticates users and terminals at the point of connection in industrial OT environments. Through an authentication structure that can be applied without changing legacy settings, it controls access risks arising during remote and on-site access from a zero-trust perspective. Its core technology, OTAC, enables one-way authentication without real-time communication with the server and has secured numerous global patents.
An M2I representative explained that implementing an AI autonomous manufacturing environment requires an organic integration of automation equipment, robots, controllers, and AI technology. They added that they have been building a total smart factory solution and AI collaboration system through investments and acquisitions in robotics and logistics automation companies, as well as external collaborations. They added that an unsecured autonomous manufacturing environment can lead to risks, and that this collaboration will strengthen the security reliability of the entire process and enhance the competitiveness of AI autonomous manufacturing.

M2I a annoncé le 4 avoir signé un protocole d'accord (MOU) avec Senstone, spécialiste de la sécurité industrielle, pour une coopération sur les solutions de sécurité industrielle.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux sociétés prévoient d'appliquer la solution OTAC (One-Time Authentication Code) de Senstone aux produits de passerelle industrielle de M2I, de développer conjointement des solutions de sécurité industrielle (OT) basées sur la technologie OTAC, de privilégier la coopération dans l'acquisition de projets et de poursuivre un marketing conjoint.
