서비스로봇 기업 브이디로보틱스가 BGF리테일이 운영하는 편의점 CU와 함께 서울 여의도 CU 러닝스테이션 시그니처 1호점에서 아웃도어 퍼포먼스 웨어러블 ‘하이퍼쉘(Hypershell)’ 팝업스토어를 운영한다고 3일 밝혔다.
하이퍼쉘은 AI 기반으로 사용자의 움직임에 맞춰 필요한 순간 파워를 증강·제어하는 웨어러블 로보틱스로, 야외 활동 시 사용자가 더 빠르고 멀리 이동할 수 있도록 돕는다. 팝업스토어는 러닝과 사이클 등 아웃도어 활동을 즐기는 고객이 제품을 직접 체험할 수 있도록 마련됐다. 여의도 한강공원의 러닝·라이딩 코스와 피크닉 존 인근에 위치해 유동인구와 잠재 고객 접점을 확대하는 전략적 입지를 확보했다.
팝업스토어는 점포 2층 러너 휴식 공간에 마련되며, 하이퍼쉘X 울트라와 프로 모델을 현장 체험 및 1시간 단위로 대여할 수 있다. 하이퍼쉘X 울트라는 배터리 제외 1.8kg, 최대 1000W 출력과 배터리당 최대 30km 이동이 가능하며, 하이퍼쉘X 프로는 배터리 제외 2kg, 최대 800W 출력과 17.5km 이동 거리를 지원한다.
대여는 네이버 예약을 통해 원하는 시간과 모델을 선택할 수 있으며, 예약 사이트는 포켓CU 앱과 하이퍼쉘 공식 홈페이지에서 접속 가능하다.
브이디로보틱스 신용민 마케팅팀장은 “하이퍼쉘은 AI가 사용자의 움직임을 읽고 즉각적인 도움을 주는 첨단 웨어러블 로봇으로, 직접 체험을 통해 그 가치를 실감할 수 있다”며 “이번 여의도 팝업을 기점으로 다양한 체험형 매장을 통해 하이퍼쉘의 혁신적인 퍼포먼스를 경험할 수 있도록 마케팅 활동을 확대할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Service robot company VD Robotics announced on the 3rd that it will operate a pop-up store for its outdoor performance wearable 'Hypershell' at the first CU Running Station Signature store in Yeouido, Seoul, in collaboration with CU, a convenience store operated by BGF Retail.
Hypershell is a wearable robotics device powered by AI that augments and controls power as needed based on the user's movements, helping users move faster and further during outdoor activities. The pop-up store is designed to provide customers who enjoy outdoor activities like running and cycling with a hands-on experience with the product. Located near the running and riding courses and picnic zone at Yeouido Hangang Park, it is strategically positioned to expand foot traffic and potential customer engagement.
The pop-up store will be set up in the runner lounge on the second floor of the store, and the Hypershell X Ultra and Pro models will be available for on-site experience and rental by the hour. The Hypershell X Ultra weighs 1.8 kg excluding the battery, has a maximum output of 1000 W, and can travel up to 30 km per battery, while the Hypershell X Pro weighs 2 kg excluding the battery, supports a maximum output of 800 W, and a travel distance of 17.5 km.
You can select the desired time and model for rental through Naver Reservation, and the reservation site can be accessed through the Pocket CU app and Hypershell official website.
“Hypershell is a cutting-edge wearable robot that uses AI to read the user’s movements and provide immediate assistance. You can truly experience its value through direct experience,” said Shin Yong-min, marketing team leader at VD Robotics. “Starting with this Yeouido pop-up, we will expand our marketing activities to allow users to experience Hypershell’s innovative performance through various experiential stores.”

La société de robots de service VD Robotics a annoncé le 3 qu'elle ouvrira une boutique éphémère pour son vêtement de performance extérieur « Hypershell » dans le premier magasin CU Running Station Signature de Yeouido, à Séoul, en collaboration avec CU, une chaîne de magasins de proximité exploitée par BGF Retail.
