㈜크래프톤(대표 김창한)이 영국표준협회(BSI)로부터 ISO/IEC 27001과 ISO/IEC 27701 국제 인증을 글로벌 통합 범위로 획득했다고 밝혔다.
이번 인증은 게임 개발과 퍼블리싱, CPC(Co-Playable Character) 등 AI 기술 활용 분야를 포함한 전 사업 영역을 대상으로 부여됐다. 한국 본사뿐 아니라 미국, 유럽, 인도, 일본 등 해외 주요 오피스까지 인증 범위에 포함됐다.
ISO/IEC 27001은 정보 자산 보호를 위한 관리체계 구축과 운영 여부를 평가하는 국제 표준이며, ISO/IEC 27701은 개인정보 처리 전 과정을 보호하는 관리체계를 검증하는 국제 기준이다. 두 인증 모두 유럽연합 GDPR 등 글로벌 개인정보 규제 준수를 위한 핵심 기준으로 활용된다.
크래프톤은 이번 인증을 통해 글로벌 수준의 정보보호 및 개인정보 관리 역량을 공식적으로 입증했다. 각 국가별 규제 대응 체계를 갖추었을 뿐 아니라, 실제 게임 서비스 운영과 이용자 데이터 처리 환경까지 포함해 실질적인 의미를 확보했다. AI 기술을 활용하는 개발 및 운영 환경에도 동일한 관리체계를 적용하여, 변화하는 기술 환경 속에서도 일관된 보안 체계를 유지할 수 있음을 보여주었다.
홍석범 크래프톤 CISO는 “이번 인증은 크래프톤이 글로벌 서비스 기업으로서 정보보호와 개인정보 관리 역량을 객관적으로 검증받은 사례”라며 “앞으로도 이용자 신뢰를 최우선으로 하며 글로벌 기준에 부합하는 보안 체계를 지속적으로 강화하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 게임 산업에서는 AI 기반 콘텐츠와 글로벌 서비스 확대에 맞춰 정보보호 및 개인정보 관리 인증 취득이 주요 경쟁력으로 부각되고 있다.

With this certification, Krafton has officially demonstrated its world-class information protection and personal information management capabilities. Not only has the company established regulatory compliance systems for each country, but it has also secured practical implications by encompassing actual game service operations and user data processing environments. By applying the same management system to development and operational environments utilizing AI technology, Krafton has demonstrated its ability to maintain a consistent security system even in a changing technological landscape.

一方、ゲーム業界では、AIベースのコンテンツとグローバルサービスの拡大に合わせて、情報保護および個人情報管理認証取得が主要競争力として浮上している。
