AI 기반 신원 인증 기업 아르고스 아이덴티티(대표 이원규)는 ‘2026 AI 바우처 지원 사업’의 공급기업으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
AI 바우처 지원 사업은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 추진하는 프로그램으로, AI 기술 도입을 원하는 기업이 정부 지원 바우처를 활용해 검증된 AI 솔루션을 도입할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다. 공급기업으로 선정된 기업은 기술력과 솔루션 경쟁력을 인정받아 수요기업의 AI 도입을 지원하는 역할을 맡는다.
이 사업은 AI 솔루션을 보유한 기업과 AI 도입을 희망하는 중소·벤처·중견기업을 연결해 초기 도입 비용 부담을 낮추고 국내 AI 기술 활용을 확대하는 것을 목표로 한다. 수요기업은 정부 바우처를 통해 AI 서비스를 도입할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 디지털 전환과 업무 효율 개선을 추진할 수 있다.
아르고스 아이덴티티는 AI와 데이터 기반 기술을 활용해 신분증 인식과 얼굴 인증 기능을 결합한 비대면 본인 인증(eKYC) 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 회사는 이번 사업을 계기로 자사의 글로벌 신원 인증 서비스 ‘ID Check’ 공급을 확대할 계획이다.
특히 산업별 인증 환경과 요구사항을 고려한 맞춤형 eKYC 솔루션을 제공해 기업들이 비대면 인증 체계를 보다 안정적으로 구축할 수 있도록 지원한다는 방침이다.
서비스 운영 성과도 확대되고 있다. 회사에 따르면 2025년 기준 신원 인증 제출 건수는 전년 대비 약 1,850% 증가했으며, 인증 과정에서 11만7천 건 이상의 위·변조 시도를 탐지했다. 인증 트래픽은 179개 국가에서 발생해 글로벌 사용자 환경에서도 서비스를 운영하고 있다.
현재 아르고스 아이덴티티의 신원 인증 서비스는 핀테크, 해외송금, 글로벌 티켓팅, 블록체인, 게임 등 다양한 산업 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 실제 운영 환경에서는 인증 프로세스 자동화를 통해 업무 효율을 높이고 운영 비용을 최대 50%까지 절감하는 효과도 나타나고 있다고 회사 측은 설명했다.

한편 최근 핀테크와 온라인 플랫폼 산업을 중심으로 비대면 서비스가 확대되면서 AI 기반 신원 인증과 eKYC 솔루션 도입 수요도 지속적으로 증가하고 있다.

This project aims to connect companies with AI solutions and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), ventures, and mid-sized companies seeking to adopt AI, thereby reducing initial adoption costs and expanding the use of AI technology domestically. Companies seeking AI services can utilize government vouchers to implement AI services, thereby promoting digital transformation and improving work efficiency.
Argos Identity offers a contactless identity verification (eKYC) service that combines ID card recognition and facial authentication using AI and data-driven technologies. The company plans to use this initiative to expand the reach of its global identity verification service, "ID Check."
In particular, the plan is to provide customized eKYC solutions that take into account the authentication environment and requirements of each industry, thereby helping companies establish a more stable non-face-to-face authentication system.
Service operation performance is also expanding. According to the company, as of 2025, the number of identity verification submissions increased approximately 1,850% year-on-year, and over 117,000 forgery and tampering attempts were detected during the authentication process. Authentication traffic originates from 179 countries, enabling the service to operate in a global user environment.
Currently, Argos Identity's identity authentication service is being utilized across diverse industries, including fintech, international remittances, global ticketing, blockchain, and gaming. The company explains that in real-world operating environments, automation of the authentication process has been shown to increase work efficiency and reduce operating costs by up to 50%.
“Through the AI voucher support project, we plan to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to more easily adopt AI-based identity authentication technology,” said Son Seong-ho, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Argos Identity. “We will provide authentication infrastructure that can be utilized in a global service environment to help companies with their digital transformation.”
Meanwhile, with the recent expansion of non-face-to-face services, particularly in the fintech and online platform industries, demand for AI-based identity authentication and eKYC solutions is also steadily increasing.
