LIPS 프로그램은 민간 투자기관의 투자 역량과 액셀러레이팅 기능을 활용해 성장 가능성이 높은 소상공인을 발굴하고, 투자와 사업화 지원을 결합해 기업가형 소상공인으로 육성하는 정부 지원 사업이다. 민간 운영사는 유망 기업을 발굴하는 단계부터 투자, 보육, 시장 확장 지원까지 전반적인 성장 지원 역할을 맡는다.
젠엑시스는 이번 운영사 선정을 계기로 라이프스타일 분야에서 혁신성을 갖춘 소상공인을 발굴하고 투자와 액셀러레이팅을 결합한 지원 체계를 마련할 계획이다. 특히 브랜드 경쟁력을 보유한 소상공인을 중심으로 초기 투자, 시장 검증, 판로 확대, 후속 투자 연계 등 단계별 성장 프로그램을 운영한다는 방침이다.
