세종창조경제혁신센터(센터장 오득창) 오픈이노베이션 지원사업 수혜기업인 시에라베이스(대표 김송현)가 세계 최대 전자·IT 박람회인 CES 2025에서 지능형 로봇 안전진단 솔루션인 SIRIUS로 최고혁신상(Best of Innovation Award)을 수상하며 기술력과 혁신성을 세계적으로 인정받았다.
시에라베이스는 CES 주최사인 미국 소비자기술협회(CTA)로부터 안전점검 모니터링 지능화 플랫폼인 ‘시리우스(SIRIUS)’가 스마트도시(Smart Cities) 분야 최고혁신상을 수상했다고 5일 밝혔다.
매년 CES 행사 개막에 앞서 출품작 중 혁신성을 인정받은 제품·서비스에 대해 혁신상을 수여한다. 최고혁신상은 카테고리별로 가장 뛰어난 혁신을 보여 준 제품·서비스가 받는다.
시에라베이스는 SIRIUS를 통해 구조물 점검 분야에 혁신을 가져왔다. SIRIUS는 독자적인 회전형 라이다 기술을 활용한 3D맵 기반 자율비행과 GPS 음영 지역에서의 SLAM(동시 자기위치추정 및 맵핑) 기술, AI 기반의 손상 탐지 및 분석 기술을 결합하여, 인프라 및 건축물 안전 점검의 새로운 표준을 제시했다. 특히 3D맵 기반 안정적인 비행으로 0.1mm의 미세 균열까지 탐지할 수 있는 정밀도와 웹 기반 통합 관리 솔루션으로 높은 평가를 받았다.
SIRIUS의 기술력은 세종창조경제혁신센터의 오픈이노베이션 프로그램을 통해 더욱 발전했다. 시에라베이스는 SK텔레콤과 협력하여 ‘드론·로봇의 자율주행을 활용한 비대면 영상 자동촬영과 디지털트윈의 통합 운용·관리를 적용한 3차원 점검·모니터링 자동화 솔루션’ PoC(Proof of Concept) 프로젝트를 성공적으로 수행했다. 이 과정에서 SK텔레콤이 보유한 통신탑과 보안시설을 대상으로 현장 실증을 여러 차례 진행하며, 디지털 전환을 기반으로 한 시설물 점검 솔루션의 실효성을 입증하고 기술 상용화 가능성을 크게 강화했다.
김송현 시에라베이스 대표는 “최고혁신상 수상은 저희 기술력과 글로벌 시장에서의 확장 가능성을 인정받은 결과”라며, “앞으로 북미와 유럽을 포함한 전 세계로 기술을 확장하여 지속 가능한 인프라 안전을 실현하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

시에라베이스는 현재 일본, 중동 진출을 진행 중이다. 이번 CES 2025를 계기로 북미와 유럽 시장 진출을 추진한다. 회사는 현재까지 국내에서 50개 이상의 프로젝트를 성공적으로 완료했다. 이 경험을 바탕으로 글로벌 시장에서의 도약을 준비하고 있다.

Sierra Base Wins CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award
Sierra Base (CEO Kim Song-hyun) , a beneficiary of the Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation's (Director Oh Deuk-chang) open innovation support project, received the Best of Innovation Award for its intelligent robot safety diagnosis solution, SIRIUS, at CES 2025, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, earning global recognition for its technological prowess and innovation.
Sierra Base announced on the 5th that its safety inspection monitoring intelligence platform, 'SIRIUS', won the Best Innovation Award in the Smart Cities category from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES.
Each year, prior to the opening of CES, Innovation Awards are presented to products and services recognized for their innovativeness. The Best of Innovation Award is given to the product or service that demonstrates the most outstanding innovation in each category.
Sierra Base revolutionized the field of structural inspection with SIRIUS. Combining 3D map-based autonomous flight using proprietary rotational LiDAR technology, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) in GPS-shadowed areas, and AI-based damage detection and analysis, SIRIUS has set a new standard for infrastructure and building safety inspections. In particular, SIRIUS has been highly praised for its precision, capable of detecting microcracks as small as 0.1 mm, through its stable 3D map-based flight, and its web-based integrated management solution.
SIRIUS's technological prowess was further developed through the Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation's open innovation program. In collaboration with SK Telecom, Sierrabase successfully completed a PoC (Proof of Concept) project for a "3D inspection and monitoring automation solution utilizing autonomous drones and robots for non-face-to-face video recording and integrated operation and management of digital twins." Through multiple field trials targeting SK Telecom's communication towers and security facilities, SIRIUS demonstrated the effectiveness of a facility inspection solution based on digital transformation and significantly enhanced the potential for technology commercialization.
Kim Song-hyun, CEO of Sierra Base, said, “Winning the Best Innovation Award is a recognition of our technological prowess and our potential for expansion in the global market,” adding, “We will expand our technology globally, including North America and Europe, to realize sustainable infrastructure safety.”

Sierra Base is currently expanding into Japan and the Middle East. CES 2025 will serve as an opportunity to expand into the North American and European markets. The company has successfully completed over 50 projects in Korea to date. Building on this experience, the company is preparing to make a leap forward in the global market.
Sierra Base's SIRIUS, winner of the CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award, will be available from the 7th to the 10th at the K-Startup Integrated Pavilion in Hall G of the Venetian Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA, and at the Innovation Awards Exhibition Space in Hall A of the Venetian EXCO. It will be unveiled to the press for the first time at 'CES UNVEILED' held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA, on the 5th.

世宗創造経済革新センター（センター長五得創）オープンイノベーション支援事業受益企業であるシエラベース（代表キム・ソンヒョン）が世界最大の電子・IT博覧会であるCES 2025で、インテリジェントロボット安全診断ソリューションであるSIRIUSで最高革新賞と技術革新賞を受賞。
シエラベースはCES主催社である米国消費者技術協会(CTA)から安全点検モニタリング知能化プラットフォームである「シリウス(SIRIUS)」がスマート都市(Smart Cities)分野最高革新賞を受賞したと5日明らかにした。
毎年CES行事開幕に先立ち、出品作中に革新性を認められた製品・サービスに対して革新賞を授与する。最高革新賞はカテゴリー別に最も優れた革新を見せた製品・サービスが受ける。
シエラベースはSIRIUSを通じて構造物検査の分野に革新をもたらしました。 SIRIUSは、独自の回転型ライダー技術を活用した3Dマップベースの自律飛行と、GPSシェーディングエリアでのSLAM（同時自己位置推定およびマッピング）技術、AIベースの損傷検出および分析技術を組み合わせて、インフラおよび建築物安全チェックの新しい標準を提示した。特に3Dマップベースの安定した飛行で、0.1mmの微細亀裂まで検出できる精度とWebベースの統合管理ソリューションとして高い評価を受けた。
SIRIUSの技術力は世宗創造経済革新センターのオープンイノベーションプログラムを通じてさらに発展した。シエラベースはSKテレコムと協力して「ドローン・ロボットの自律走行を活用した非対面映像自動撮影とデジタルツインの統合運用・管理を適用した3次元点検・モニタリング自動化ソリューション」PoC（Proof of Concept）プロジェクトを成功裏に行った。この過程でSKテレコムが保有する通信塔とセキュリティ施設を対象に現場実証を何度も進め、デジタル転換に基づく施設物点検ソリューションの実効性を立証し、技術商用化の可能性を大きく強化した。
キム・ソンヒョンシエラベース代表は「最高革新賞受賞は私たちの技術力とグローバル市場での拡張可能性を認められた結果」とし、「今後北米とヨーロッパを含む全世界に技術を拡張して持続可能なインフラ安全を実現する」と抱負を明らかにした。

シエラベースは現在日本、中東進出を進めている。今回のCES 2025を契機に北米と欧州市場への進出を推進する。同社は現在まで国内で50以上のプロジェクトを成功裏に完了している。この経験をもとにグローバル市場での飛躍を準備している。

Sierra Base (PDG Kim Song-hyun) , bénéficiaire du projet de soutien à l'innovation ouverte du Centre Sejong pour l'économie créative et l'innovation (directeur Oh Deuk-chang) , a reçu le prix de la meilleure innovation pour sa solution de diagnostic de sécurité des robots intelligents, SIRIUS, au CES 2025, le plus grand salon mondial de l'électronique et des technologies de l'information, obtenant ainsi une reconnaissance mondiale pour sa prouesse technologique et son innovation.
Sierra Base a annoncé le 5 que sa plateforme intelligente de surveillance des inspections de sécurité, « SIRIUS », a remporté le prix de la meilleure innovation dans la catégorie Villes intelligentes décerné par la Consumer Technology Association (CTA), organisatrice du CES.
Chaque année, avant l'ouverture du CES, des prix de l'innovation sont décernés aux produits et services reconnus pour leur caractère novateur. Le prix de la meilleure innovation récompense le produit ou le service qui fait preuve de l'innovation la plus remarquable dans chaque catégorie.
Sierra Base a révolutionné le domaine de l'inspection des structures avec SIRIUS. Combinant vol autonome basé sur une cartographie 3D grâce à une technologie LiDAR rotationnelle exclusive, SLAM (localisation et cartographie simultanées) dans les zones non couvertes par le GPS, et détection et analyse des dommages par IA, SIRIUS a établi une nouvelle norme pour les inspections de sécurité des infrastructures et des bâtiments. SIRIUS a notamment été salué pour sa précision, capable de détecter des microfissures aussi petites que 0,1 mm, grâce à son vol stable basé sur une cartographie 3D et à sa solution de gestion intégrée via le web.
Les compétences technologiques de SIRIUS ont été perfectionnées grâce au programme d'innovation ouverte du Centre Sejong pour l'économie créative et l'innovation. En collaboration avec SK Telecom, Sierrabase a mené à bien un projet de validation de concept (PoC) pour une solution d'automatisation d'inspection et de surveillance 3D. Cette solution utilise des drones et des robots autonomes pour l'enregistrement vidéo à distance, ainsi que pour l'exploitation et la gestion intégrées de jumeaux numériques. Grâce à de multiples essais sur le terrain menés sur les tours de communication et les installations de sécurité de SK Telecom, SIRIUS a démontré l'efficacité d'une solution d'inspection d'installations basée sur la transformation numérique et a considérablement accru le potentiel de commercialisation de cette technologie.
