AI MEDTECH 전문기업 웨이센이 6일, 태국 소화기내시경 국제 학술대회 ‘TAGE 2025’에 참가한다고 밝혔다. 올해로 21회를 맞은 TAGE는 태국에서 가장 큰 소화기내시경 학술대회로, 태국 전역에서 연간 600여 명이 참가하는 주요 행사이다. 이번 학술대회는 7일부터 8일까지 태국 후아힌에서 개최된다.
웨이센은 이번 학술대회에서 자사의 인공지능 내시경 소프트웨어인 ‘웨이메드 엔도(WAYMED ENDO)’를 선보인다. 웨이메드 엔도는 소화기 내시경 검사장비와 연동하여 사용하는 인공지능 의료기기로, 빠르고 정확하게 이상 병변을 감지하고 이를 내시경 전문의에게 알림으로 제공하여 고품질 내시경 검사를 지원한다.
웨이센은 TAGE 2025 기간 동안 부스를 운영하며, 웨이메드 엔도의 임상적 효과와 활용성을 태국 소화기내시경 의료진들과 공유하고 논의할 계획이다. 또한, 웨이메드 엔도의 최신 연구 동향을 소개하는 세션도 마련되어 있다.
웨이센의 심포지엄은 8일 태국 현지에서 진행되며, 태국 라자비티 병원(Rajavithi Hospital)의 타위 교수(Prof. Thawee)와 원주 세브란스병원 이동기 교수가 좌장을 맡고, 강남 세브란스병원 김지현 교수가 연자로 참여한다. 심포지엄에서는 ‘Current applications of AI in upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy’라는 주제로 강연이 진행되며, 웨이메드 엔도의 임상적 가치와 최신 지견이 공유될 예정이다.
웨이센의 김경남 대표는 “이번 TAGE 2025는 태국 의료진을 대상으로 웨이메드 엔도의 임상적 가치를 알리고 논의하는 의미 있는 자리가 될 것”이라며, “이번 학회를 기점으로 태국 의료현장에서 웨이메드 엔도가 적극적으로 활용될 수 있도록 현지 병원들과 협력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

AI MEDTECH specialist Weixen announced on the 6th that it will participate in the Thai Gastroenterology Endoscopy International Conference 'TAGE 2025'. The symposium of Waysn will be held in Thailand on the 8th, and Professor Thawee of Rajavithi Hospital in Thailand and Professor Dong-gi Lee of Wonju Severance Hospital will serve as moderators, and Professor Ji-hyun Kim of Gangnam Severance Hospital will participate as a speaker. The symposium will present a lecture titled 'Current applications of AI in upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy', and the clinical value and latest knowledge of Waymed Endo will be shared.
