건물 내 자율배송 솔루션 전문기업 와트(WATT)가 중소벤처기업부 주관의 2025 초격차 스타트업 1000+ 프로젝트에 최종 선정됐다. 이번 선정은 와트의 자율배송 로봇과 스마트 보관함 로봇 솔루션이 지닌 기술력 및 글로벌 시장 확장 가능성을 인정받은 결과로, 해외 진출을 위한 현지화 및 안정화를 보다 효과적으로 추진할 수 있는 계기가 될 전망이다.
와트는 층간 배송 로봇 ‘James’와 무인 택배 보관함 로봇 ‘W-Station’을 통해 고층 빌딩, 아파트 단지 등에서 물품 배송과 관리의 자동화를 실현하고 있다. 특히 로봇팔을 통해 엘리베이터나 스피드게이트를 직접 조작함으로써 별도 인프라 변경 없이 기존 건물에도 쉽게 도입 가능한 것이 특징이다.
이번 프로젝트 선정으로 와트는 중소벤처기업부로부터 최대 6억 원의 사업화 자금을 지원받게 되며, 이후 기술 고도화를 위한 추가 연구개발(R&D) 지원과 글로벌 진출을 위한 대기업 협업 및 투자 기회도 확보할 예정이다. 와트는 일본 택배 시장 점유율 1위 기업인 야마토운수와 협력하여 일본 시장 진출을 본격화하고 있다. 이와 더불어 국내외 건설사와의 협력을 통해 스마트 주거 솔루션을 지속적으로 확대하고 있다. 지난달에는 서초구의 프리미엄 아파트 단지에서 입주민을 위한 짐운반 포터로봇을 활용한 시범운행을 성공적으로 마치며, 입주민의 일상 속 편리함을 제공하는 로봇 서비스를 선보였다.
와트 최재원 대표는 “이번 선정을 통해 기술력과 글로벌 확장성을 인정받은 만큼, 기술 고도화를 통해 로봇을 성공적으로 한국과 일본 시장에 안착시킬 것”이라 밝혔다.

Watt, selected as '2025 Ultra-Gap Startup 1000+ Project'
WATT, a company specializing in in-building autonomous delivery solutions, has been selected as the finalist for the 2025 Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. This selection is a result of recognition of the technological prowess and global market expansion potential of WATT’s autonomous delivery robot and smart storage robot solutions, and is expected to serve as an opportunity to more effectively promote localization and stabilization for overseas expansion.
Watt is realizing automation of product delivery and management in high-rise buildings, apartment complexes, etc. through the inter-floor delivery robot 'James' and the unmanned parcel storage robot 'W-Station'. In particular, it is characterized by being easy to introduce into existing buildings without separate infrastructure changes by directly operating elevators and speed gates through the robot arm.
With this project selection, Watt will receive up to 600 million won in commercialization funds from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and will also secure additional research and development (R&D) support for technological advancement, as well as collaboration and investment opportunities with large corporations for global expansion. Watt is working with Yamato Transport, the number one company in the Japanese courier market share, to fully advance into the Japanese market. In addition, it is continuously expanding its smart housing solutions through cooperation with domestic and foreign construction companies. Last month, it successfully completed a pilot operation using a porter robot to carry luggage for residents in a premium apartment complex in Seocho-gu, introducing a robot service that provides convenience in the daily lives of residents.
Watt CEO Choi Jae-won said, “Through this selection, our technological prowess and global expandability have been recognized, and we will successfully establish our robots in the Korean and Japanese markets through technological advancements.”

今回のプロジェクト選定でワットは中小ベンチャー企業部から最大6億ウォンの事業化資金を支援されることになり、以後技術高度化のための追加研究開発(R&D)支援とグローバル進出のための大企業協業及び投資機会も確保する予定だ。ワットは日本宅配市場シェア1位企業のヤマト運輸と協力して日本市場進出を本格化している。これとともに、国内外の建設会社との協力を通じてスマート住宅ソリューションを継続的に拡大している。先月は瑞草区のプレミアムマンション団地で入居者のための荷物運搬ポッターロボットを活用した試験運行を成功裏に終え、入居者の日常の利便性を提供するロボットサービスを披露した。
ワットチェジェウォン代表は「今回の選定を通じて技術力とグローバル拡張性を認められただけに、技術高度化を通じてロボットを成功的に韓国と日本市場に安着させるだろう」と明らかにした。
