AI 소프트웨어 전문기업 피아이이와 3차원 비표지 세포 이미징 전문기업 토모큐브가 홀로토모그래피(Holotomography) 기반의 검사 기술 개발 및 사업화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 지난 14일 체결했다.
이번 협약은 양사의 핵심 역량을 바탕으로 홀로토모그래피 기술을 정밀 검사 분야에 적용하기 위한 기술 개발 및 상용화에 공동으로 나서기 위한 것이다. 협력 범위에는 기술 공동 개발을 비롯해 시장 확대를 위한 영업·마케팅 활동, 산업 인증 대응, 주요 프로젝트 수행 등이 포함된다.
홀로토모그래피는 홀로그래피(Holography)와 토모그래피(Tomography)를 결합한 첨단 3D 광학 이미징 기술로, 투명하거나 반투명한 대상체 내부의 굴절률 분포를 손상 없이 고해상도로 재구성할 수 있는 것이 특징이다. 생물학적 세포 이미징 분야뿐 아니라 반도체, 디스플레이 등 고정밀 산업 분야에서도 비접촉·비파괴 검사 방식으로 활용 가치가 높아지고 있다.
협약에 따라 토모큐브는 홀로토모그래피 핵심 기술 개발 및 장비 공급, 기술 교육, 테스트 장비 제공 등을 담당하며, 피아이이는 검사 소프트웨어 개발, 스마트 팩토리 시스템 구현, 양산 구조 설계 등을 맡아 산업 현장에 최적화된 통합 솔루션 개발을 추진한다.
피아이이 최정일 공동대표는 “이번 협력을 통해 첨단 제조 공정에 특화된 고도화된 검사 솔루션을 선보일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “토모큐브와의 기술 협업을 기반으로 반도체, 디스플레이, 2차전지 등 다양한 첨단 산업군에 피아이이의 솔루션 적용을 확대해 나가며, ‘PIE Solutions everywhere’라는 기업 비전을 실현해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

PII signs business agreement with Tomocube
AI software specialist PiI and 3D label-free cell imaging specialist TomoCube signed a business agreement (MOU) on the 14th for the development and commercialization of inspection technology based on holotomography.

Holotomography is an advanced 3D optical imaging technology that combines holography and tomography, and is characterized by the ability to reconstruct the refractive index distribution inside transparent or translucent objects with high resolution without damage. Its value as a non-contact, non-destructive inspection method is increasing not only in the field of biological cell imaging but also in high-precision industries such as semiconductors and displays.
According to the agreement, TomoCube will be responsible for developing core holotomography technologies and supplying equipment, providing technical training, and providing testing equipment, while PIIE will be responsible for developing inspection software, implementing smart factory systems, and designing mass production structures, thereby promoting the development of integrated solutions optimized for industrial sites.
“Through this collaboration, we expect to be able to present advanced inspection solutions specialized for advanced manufacturing processes,” said PIE Co-CEO Jeong-il Choi. “Based on our technological collaboration with Tomocube, we will expand the application of PIE solutions to various advanced industries such as semiconductors, displays, and secondary batteries, and realize our corporate vision of ‘PIE Solutions everywhere.’”

Le spécialiste des logiciels d'IA PiI et le spécialiste de l'imagerie cellulaire 3D sans marquage TomoCube ont signé le 14 un accord commercial (MOU) pour le développement et la commercialisation d'une technologie d'inspection basée sur l'holotomographie.
Cet accord vise à développer et à commercialiser conjointement une technologie permettant d'appliquer la technologie de l'holotomographie au domaine de l'inspection de précision sur la base des compétences de base des deux sociétés.
