테라헤르츠 기술 및 솔루션 선도기업 테라뷰(TeraView, 대표이사 돈 아논)가 고출력 레이저 솔루션 선도기업 액스비스(AXBIS)와 전략적 MOU를 체결했다고 14일 밝혔다.
테라뷰는 테라헤르츠 전자기파 기술을 원천기술로 가진 기업이다. 해당 기술은 비파괴방식으로 물질의 구조와 성분을 정밀 분석할 수 있어 첨단산업에서 핵심적으로 사용된다. 전세계에서 테라헤르츠 관련 특허를 가장 많이 보유한 기업이 테라뷰이다.
테라뷰가 보유한 테라헤르츠 전자기파 발생 및 응용 검사장비는 반도체 공정 및 자동차 산업 분야에서 상용화가 완료된 상태로 ▲반도체 패키징 검사 ▲자동차·2차전지 코팅 검사가 필수인 국내 주요 반도체 및 자동차/2차전지 기업들은 물론 해외 유수의 탑티어 기업들도 테라뷰의 고객사로 확보되어 있다.

테라뷰 관계자는 “이번 협약으로 테라뷰와 액스비스 양사는 핵심기술과 역량을 교환해 발생하는 비즈니스 시너지 효과를 누리며 상호 성장을 도모하기로 합의했다”며 “테라뷰는 액스비스(AXBIS)와 긴밀히 협력하며 각종 첨단산업에서 필요로 하는 혁신적인 검사솔루션을 공동개발할 계획”이라고 설명했다.
한편 테라뷰는 연내 코스닥 시장 진입을 목표로 일정을 추진 중이다. 테라뷰는 반도체, 자동차, 2차전지, 바이오 등에서 강점을 가진 한국 증시에 입성하면 한국 기업 및 연구진과의 적극적인 파트너십을 통해 보다 많은 시장기회를 누릴 수 있을 것으로 보고 있다. 테라뷰는 IPO를 통해 확보한 자금을 신기술·신제품 개발을 위한 연구개발(R&D)과 제작 역량 강화에 투자할 예정이다.

Terraview signs business agreement with Axvis

Meanwhile, Terraview is pushing ahead with its schedule with the goal of entering the KOSDAQ market within the year. Terraview believes that by entering the Korean stock market, which has strengths in semiconductors, automobiles, secondary batteries, and bio, it will be able to enjoy more market opportunities through active partnerships with Korean companies and researchers.
