AI 및 데이터 전문 기업 유클릭이 보안과 클라우드 등 전략 기술 부문의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 함재경 전 한국레드햇 사장과 이현욱 전 티맥스소프트 기업사업 담당 부사장을 각각 부사장과 전무로 영입했다고 밝혔다.
신임 함재경 부사장은 한국레드햇과 한국트렌드마이크로에서 사장을 역임했으며, 한국오라클 등 글로벌 IT 기업에서 다양한 임원직을 수행한 보안 및 오픈소스 분야의 전문가다. 유클릭에서는 보안 인프라 솔루션 부문을 총괄하며, 보안과 오픈소스 영역을 중심으로 새로운 성장동력을 발굴하고, 유클릭의 전반적인 사업 확장에 기여할 예정이다. 또한, 기존에 성공적으로 추진돼 온 주요 사업 부문에 대해서도 지속적으로 지원하며 조직 내 시너지를 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
신임 이현욱 전무는 티맥스소프트 기업사업 담당 부사장, 티맥스클라우드 대표이사, 한국오라클 컨설팅본부장 등을 역임한 클라우드 및 엔지니어링 분야의 전문가로, 앞으로 유클릭의 오라클 엔지니어 조직과 오라클 클라우드 엔터프라이즈 영업 조직을 함께 이끌 예정이다. 특히, 이 전무는 오라클 온프레미스 기반의 기존 엔지니어링 조직을 클라우드, 오픈소스, AI 중심으로 고도화하고, 클라우드 영업조직에서는 오라클과의 협업을 통해 AI 기반 클라우드 서비스를 강화하는 것은 물론, 기존 주요 클라우드 서비스 공급자들과의 경쟁 속에서 오라클 클라우드의 차별화된 가치를 부각시켜 시장 확대를 적극 추진할 방침이다.
유클릭은 이번 영입을 통해 기술 중심 조직으로서의 체계를 한층 강화하고, AI, 클라우드, 오픈소스 등 전략 사업 분야에서의 혁신을 가속화할 계획이다. 향후에도 기술과 산업에 대한 깊은 통찰력을 갖춘 외부 인재를 지속적으로 확보해, 고객 중심의 디지털 혁신을 견인하고 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 공고히 해나간다는 전략이다.

AI and data specialist company Uclick announced that it has hired former Korea Red Hat President Ham Jae-kyung and former TmaxSoft Vice President of Corporate Business Lee Hyeon-wook as Vice President and Managing Director, respectively, to strengthen its competitiveness in strategic technology sectors such as security and cloud.
The newly appointed Vice President, Jae-Kyung Ham, served as President at Red Hat Korea and Trend Micro Korea, and is an expert in the security and open source fields who has held various executive positions at global IT companies such as Oracle Korea. He will oversee the security infrastructure solution division at Uclick, and will discover new growth engines centered on the security and open source areas, and contribute to the overall business expansion of Uclick. In addition, he plans to continue to support major business sectors that have been successfully promoted in the past and strengthen synergy within the organization.
The newly appointed Managing Director, Hyunwook Lee, is an expert in the cloud and engineering fields who served as Vice President of Corporate Business at TmaxSoft, CEO of TmaxCloud, and Head of Oracle Consulting Headquarters in Korea. He will lead both Uclick’s Oracle Engineering organization and Oracle Cloud Enterprise Sales organization in the future. In particular, Managing Director Lee will advance the existing engineering organization based on Oracle on-premise to focus on cloud, open source, and AI, and in the cloud sales organization, he will strengthen AI-based cloud services through collaboration with Oracle, while actively promoting market expansion by highlighting the differentiated value of Oracle Cloud in competition with existing major cloud service providers.
Through this recruitment, Uclick plans to further strengthen its system as a technology-centered organization and accelerate innovation in strategic business areas such as AI, cloud, and open source. The strategy is to continue to secure external talent with deep insight into technology and industry in the future to drive customer-centered digital innovation and solidify the foundation for sustainable growth.
