빅무브벤처스는 소형항공기 운영 스타트업 섬에어에 대한 투자를 완료했다고 13일 밝혔다. 이번 투자는 섬에어의 항공기 도입과 울릉공항 및 내륙공항 취항 준비에 필요한 자금으로 활용될 예정이다.
섬에어는 소형항공기를 기반으로 국내 도서지역과 내륙을 연결하는 항공 운송 서비스를 준비 중인 스타트업이다. 최근 개정된 국토교통부의 항공 관련 법령으로 소형항공기의 여객 운송 효율성이 개선된 가운데, 울릉공항을 비롯해 흑산도, 백령도 등 새로운 지역공항 개발이 예정되면서 시장 진입 기회가 확대되고 있다.
정훈재 빅무브벤처스 대표는 “섬에어는 항공사 운영에 필요한 전문성과 실행력을 갖춘 팀으로, 대표의 금융권 경력과 항공 자격 보유 이력, 정비 및 운영 인력의 경험 등을 높이 평가해 투자를 결정했다”고 밝혔다.
빅무브벤처스는 이번 섬에어 투자를 포함해 최근 인공지능(AI), 바이오헬스케어, ESG 기반 기술 기업 등 다양한 분야로 투자 포트폴리오를 확장하고 있다. 주요 투자 사례로는 광고 예산 최적화 솔루션 ‘ADoasis’의 운영사 임팩트에이아이, AI 기반 수술로봇 개발기업 코넥티브, 약국 DX 전환 플랫폼 참약사, 전장유전체 분석기업 이노크라스 등이 있다.
섬에어 최용덕 대표는 “국내 도서지역 항공 인프라 확충과 항공 법제 변화는 신생 항공사에 새로운 도전이자 기회가 될 것”이라며 “이번 투자를 계기로 안전하고 효율적인 지역 항공 서비스 모델을 구현해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

BigMove Ventures is expanding its investment portfolio to various fields including artificial intelligence (AI), bio-healthcare, and ESG-based technology companies, including this investment in Seom Air. Major investment cases include Impact AI, the operator of the advertising budget optimization solution 'ADoasis'; Connective, an AI-based surgical robot development company; Cham Yak Sa, a pharmacy DX transformation platform; and Innoclas, a whole-genome analysis company.
“The expansion of aviation infrastructure in island regions and changes in aviation laws will be new challenges and opportunities for new airlines,” said Choi Yong-deok, CEO of Seom Air. “We will use this investment as an opportunity to implement a safe and efficient regional aviation service model.”

BigMove Ventures a annoncé le 13 octobre avoir finalisé son investissement dans la start-up Seom Air , spécialisée dans l'exploitation de petits avions. Cet investissement servira à financer le déploiement des avions et la préparation de Seom Air à l'aéroport d'Ulleung et aux aéroports intérieurs.
Seom Air est une start-up qui développe un service de transport aérien reliant les îles et les zones intérieures du pays grâce à de petits avions. La récente révision de la législation aérienne du ministère du Territoire, des Infrastructures et des Transports a amélioré l'efficacité du transport de passagers par petits avions, et le développement de nouveaux aéroports régionaux tels que ceux d'Ulleung, d'Heuksando et de Baengnyeongdo multiplie les opportunités de pénétration sur ce marché.
