헬스케어 플랫폼 기업 주식회사 클롭은 사단법인 한국1형당뇨병환우회와 1형 당뇨병 환자의 실명 예방 및 안저검사 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 18일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 정기적인 안과 검진 수검률이 낮은 1형 당뇨병 환자들을 대상으로 실명 예방 캠페인을 확대하고, 클롭의 눈 건강 관리 플랫폼 ‘애프터눈(AfterNoon)’을 통해 보다 실질적인 의료 접근성을 제공하기 위한 취지에서 마련됐다.
1형 당뇨병은 자가면역 반응으로 인해 인슐린이 거의 분비되지 않는 만성 질환으로, 소아청소년기에 발병하는 사례가 많고, 평생 인슐린 치료가 필요하다. 젊은 환자층이 많음에도 불구하고 장기적인 합병증 예방을 위한 정기적인 안과검진 수검률은 여전히 낮은 실정이다.
클롭이 운영 중인 ‘애프터눈’ 플랫폼은 내과 및 안과 의료기관 간 연계를 통해 당뇨병 환자의 안저검사 수검을 지원하고, 조기 진단 및 치료를 유도하는 회송 기반 의료전달체계를 제공하고 있다. 현재까지 약 3,000여 명의 환자가 해당 플랫폼을 통해 회송되었으며, 이 중 약 200명이 당뇨망막병증으로 조기 진단을 받고 치료를 진행 중이다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 ▲1형 당뇨병 환자 대상 눈 건강 캠페인 공동 추진 ▲애프터눈 연계 병의원 이용 안내 및 지원 ▲실명 예방을 위한 교육 콘텐츠 개발 및 제공 등의 분야에서 협력할 예정이다.
한국1형당뇨병환우회 김미영 대표는 “그동안 많은 환우들이 혈당 관리는 잘하고 있음에도 불구하고, 안과 검진은 환경적 제약으로 인해 어려움을 겪어왔다”며 “애프터눈 서비스는 이러한 불편을 해소하는 데 도움이 되었고, 이번 협력을 통해 더 많은 환우들이 눈 건강을 관리할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
클롭 박상준 대표는 “1형 당뇨병은 조기에 발병하는 특성상 안과 합병증에 대한 조기 대응이 특히 중요하다”며 “이번 협약을 계기로 실명 예방에 실질적인 기여를 할 수 있도록 지속적인 기술 및 서비스 고도화를 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Klopp signs business agreement with Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association
Healthcare platform company Klop Co., Ltd. announced on the 18th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association to prevent blindness and promote fundus examinations for type 1 diabetes patients.
This agreement was created with the aim of expanding the blindness prevention campaign targeting type 1 diabetes patients with low regular eye examination rates and providing more practical medical accessibility through Klopp's eye health management platform 'AfterNoon'.
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease in which insulin is hardly secreted due to an autoimmune reaction. It often occurs in childhood and adolescence, and requires lifelong insulin treatment. Despite the large number of young patients, the rate of regular ophthalmological examinations to prevent long-term complications is still low.
The 'Afternoon' platform operated by Klopp supports fundus examinations of diabetic patients through linkages between internal medicine and ophthalmology medical institutions, and provides a referral-based medical delivery system that induces early diagnosis and treatment. As of now, approximately 3,000 patients have been referred through the platform, and of these, approximately 200 have been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy early and are currently undergoing treatment.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in the following areas: ▲jointly promoting an eye health campaign for type 1 diabetes patients, ▲providing guidance and support for the use of Afternoon-linked hospitals and clinics, and ▲developing and providing educational content to prevent blindness.
Kim Mi-young, the representative of the Korean Type 1 Diabetes Association, said, “Although many patients have been managing their blood sugar well, they have had difficulty getting eye exams due to environmental constraints.” She added, “The afternoon service has helped alleviate this inconvenience, and we hope that this collaboration will help more patients manage their eye health.”
Klop CEO Park Sang-jun said, “Since type 1 diabetes tends to develop early, early response to ophthalmic complications is especially important,” adding, “With this agreement as an opportunity, we will continue to advance our technology and services so that we can make a real contribution to preventing blindness.”

韓国１型糖尿病患友会キム・ミヨン代表は「これまで多くの歓友たちが血糖管理はうまくやっているにもかかわらず、眼科検診は環境的制約のために困難を経験してきた」とし「アフタヌーンサービスはこのような不便を解消するのに役立ったし、今回の協力を通じてより多くの歓友が目の健康を管理することができる」
クロップ・パク・サンジュン代表は「１型糖尿病は早期に発症する特性上、眼科合併症に対する早期対応が特に重要だ」とし「今回の条約をきっかけに失明予防に実質的な貢献ができるように継続的な技術及びサービスの高度化を続けていく」と明らかにした。

La société de plateforme de soins de santé Klop Co., Ltd. a annoncé le 18 avoir signé un accord commercial (MOU) avec l'Association coréenne du diabète de type 1 pour prévenir la cécité et promouvoir les examens du fond d'œil pour les patients diabétiques de type 1.
Cet accord a été créé dans le but d'étendre la campagne de prévention de la cécité ciblant les patients atteints de diabète de type 1 ayant de faibles taux d'examens oculaires réguliers et de fournir une accessibilité médicale plus pratique via la plateforme de gestion de la santé oculaire de Klopp « AfterNoon ».
Le diabète de type 1 est une maladie chronique caractérisée par une faible sécrétion d'insuline en raison d'une réaction auto-immune. Il survient souvent pendant l'enfance et l'adolescence et nécessite un traitement à l'insuline à vie. Malgré le nombre important de jeunes patients, le taux d'examens ophtalmologiques réguliers visant à prévenir les complications à long terme reste faible.
La plateforme « Afternoon » exploitée par Klopp facilite l'examen du fond d'œil des patients diabétiques grâce à des liens entre les services de médecine interne et d'ophtalmologie. Elle propose un système de prise en charge médicale basé sur l'orientation des patients, favorisant un diagnostic et un traitement précoces. À ce jour, environ 3 000 patients ont été orientés via la plateforme, dont environ 200 ont reçu un diagnostic précoce de rétinopathie diabétique et suivent actuellement un traitement.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux organisations prévoient de coopérer dans les domaines suivants : ▲promouvoir conjointement une campagne de santé oculaire pour les patients atteints de diabète de type 1, ▲fournir des conseils et un soutien pour l'utilisation des hôpitaux et cliniques liés à l'après-midi, et ▲développer et fournir du contenu éducatif pour prévenir la cécité.
Kim Mi-young, représentante de l'Association coréenne du diabète de type 1, a déclaré : « Bien que de nombreux patients gèrent bien leur glycémie, ils ont du mal à se faire examiner la vue en raison de contraintes environnementales. » Elle a ajouté : « Le service de l'après-midi a permis d'atténuer ces inconvénients, et nous espérons que cette collaboration aidera davantage de patients à prendre soin de leur santé oculaire. »
Le PDG de Klop, Park Sang-jun, a déclaré : « Étant donné que le diabète de type 1 a tendance à se développer tôt, une réponse précoce aux complications ophtalmiques est particulièrement importante », ajoutant : « Avec cet accord comme opportunité, nous continuerons à faire progresser notre technologie et nos services afin de pouvoir apporter une réelle contribution à la prévention de la cécité. »
