발전플랜트 종합정비 솔루션 전문기업 수산인더스트리는 신재생에너지 사업 확대의 일환으로 오미산풍력발전 지분 43%를 인수해 최대주주에 올랐다고 20일 밝혔다.
이번 인수는 수산인더스트리가 보유한 기존 태양광 발전사업 역량에 더해 풍력발전 분야로 사업영역을 확장하기 위한 전략적 결정이다. 회사는 IPO를 통해 조달한 공모 자금 일부를 해당 인수에 활용했으며, 이를 통해 원자력·화력·태양광에 이어 풍력 분야까지 아우르는 에너지 포트폴리오를 구축하게 됐다.
오미산풍력발전은 경북 봉화군 석포면 오미산 일대 약 3만여 평 부지에 위치한 풍력발전단지로, 14기의 발전기를 포함한 총 설비용량은 약 60.2MW, 연간 발전량은 약 9만 8,700MWh에 달한다. 수산인더스트리는 이번 지분 확보를 통해 풍력발전소 운영 경험을 축적하는 한편, 유지보수(O&M) 사업도 직접 수행할 계획이다.
또한 수산인더스트리는 동남아 지역에서의 신재생에너지 사업 확대도 검토 중이라고 밝혔다. 현재 베트남 현지 종속법인 SH Solar Farm VINA를 통해 태양광 발전사업을 전개 중이며, 이번 풍력발전 투자 경험을 기반으로 동남아 등지로의 확장을 모색한다는 방침이다.
수산인더스트리 관계자는 “정부의 탄소중립 및 재생에너지 확대 정책에 발맞춰 신재생에너지 사업을 전략적으로 다각화하고 있다”며 “이번 지분 인수를 통해 풍력발전 시장에 본격 진출하고, 안정적인 수익 창출 기반을 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Omisan Wind Power Plant is a wind power plant complex located on a site of approximately 30,000 pyeong in Omisan, Seokpo-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk. The total installed capacity including 14 generators is approximately 60.2 MW, and the annual power generation is approximately 98,700 MWh. With this stake acquisition, Ssangyong Industry plans to accumulate experience in operating wind power plants and directly carry out maintenance (O&M) business.
In addition, Ssangyong Industry announced that it is also considering expanding its renewable energy business in Southeast Asia. It is currently developing a solar power generation business through its local subsidiary, SH Solar Farm VINA, in Vietnam, and plans to seek expansion into Southeast Asia and other regions based on its experience investing in wind power generation.
A representative of Ssangyong Industry said, “In line with the government’s carbon neutrality and renewable energy expansion policies, we are strategically diversifying our renewable energy business,” adding, “Through this equity acquisition, we will make a full-fledged entry into the wind power generation market and strengthen our foundation for stable profit generation.”

また、水産インダストリーは東南アジア地域での再生可能エネルギー事業の拡大も検討中だと明らかにした。現在、ベトナム現地従属法人SH Solar Farm VINAを通じて太陽光発電事業を展開中であり、今回の風力発電投資経験を基に東南アジアなど地への拡張を模索する方針だ。
水産インダストリー関係者は「政府の炭素中立および再生エネルギー拡大政策に合わせて新再生エネルギー事業を戦略的に多角化している」とし「今回の持分買収を通じて風力発電市場に本格進出し、安定的な収益創出基盤を強化していく」と明らかにした。
