울산창조경제혁신센터(대표 김헌성, 이하 ‘울산센터’)는 투자기업인 ㈜리티웨이(LITHIWAY, 대표 정형모)가 중소벤처기업부의 2025년 딥테크 팁스(TIPS) 패스트트랙에 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
리티웨이는 기존 양극재의 생산 공정을 전혀 바꿀 필요 없이, 소량의 첨가제 투입만으로 배터리의 핵심 소재인 양극재 성능을 획기적으로 향상시키는 ‘에너지-엘릭서(E-Elixir)’ 솔루션을 개발하는 딥테크 스타트업이다.
리티웨이의 솔루션은 양극재 제조사는 물론, 배터리 셀 제조사까지 기존의 값비싼 양산 설비 변경 없이, 단순히 첨가제를 더하는 것만으로 ▲배터리 수명 및 용량 증대 ▲충·방전 안정성 향상 ▲원가 경쟁력 확보라는 세 마리 토끼를 모두 잡을 수 있는 혁신적인 기술로 평가받는다. 특히 하이니켈(NCM) 양극재 뿐만 아니라 리튬인산철(LFP) 배터리에도 적용 가능하다.
리티웨이 정형모 대표는 “리티웨이는 양극재의 수명이 감소하는 원인을 규명하여 열화를 방지하는 첨가제를 개발하였다. 다양한 소재와 배터리 제조사들이 더 효율적이고 경제적인 제품을 만들 수 있도록 지속적으로 기술을 발전시켜 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.

Litiway, selected as a fast track for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Deep Tech Tips'
Ulsan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Heon-seong Kim, hereinafter referred to as the 'Ulsan Center') announced that investment company LITHIWAY (CEO Hyeong-mo Jeong) was finally selected for the 2025 Deep Tech TIPS Fast Track of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Lithiway is a deep-tech startup developing an 'Energy Elixir' solution that dramatically improves the performance of cathode materials, a key battery material, by adding only a small amount of additives, without having to change the existing cathode material production process at all.
Lithiway's solution is evaluated as an innovative technology that allows not only cathode material manufacturers but also battery cell manufacturers to kill three birds with one stone: ▲increased battery life and capacity, ▲improved charge/discharge stability, and ▲secured cost competitiveness simply by adding additives, without changing the existing expensive mass production facilities. In particular, it can be applied not only to high-nickel (NCM) cathode materials but also to lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
“Litiway has identified the cause of the reduction in the lifespan of cathode materials and developed an additive that prevents deterioration,” said Lithiway CEO Jeong Hyeong-mo. “We will continue to develop our technology so that various materials and battery manufacturers can create more efficient and economical products.”
Asan Yustar Individual Investment Association’s representative fund manager, Lee Jae-ik, said, “The global battery market is demanding technology that can innovate both price and performance at the same time. リティウェイは既存の正極材の生産工程を全く変える必要なく、少量の添加剤投入だけでバッテリーの核心素材である正極材性能を画期的に向上させる「エナジー・エリクサー(E-Elixir)」ソリューションを開発するディープテックスタートアップだ。
リティウェイのソリューションは正極材メーカーはもちろん、バッテリーセルメーカーまで従来の高価な量産設備の変更なしに、単に添加剤を加えるだけで▲バッテリー寿命及び容量増大▲充放電安定性向上▲コスト競争力確保という3頭ウサギをすべて握ることができる革新的な技術で評価される。特にハイニッケル（NCM）正極材だけでなく、リチウムリン酸鉄（LFP）バッテリーにも適用可能だ。

Lithiway 是一家深度科技初创公司，正在开发一种“能量灵药”解决方案，只需添加少量添加剂，即可显著提高关键电池材料阴极材料的性能，而无需改变现有的阴极材料生产工艺。
Lithiway的解决方案被评价为一项创新技术，它不仅能让正极材料制造商，也能让电池芯制造商一举三得：▲延长电池寿命和容量；▲提升充放电稳定性；▲无需改变现有的高成本量产设备，只需添加添加剂即可确保成本竞争力。尤其值得一提的是，该解决方案不仅可应用于高镍（NCM）正极材料，还可应用于磷酸铁锂（LFP）电池。

Le Centre d'Ulsan pour l'économie créative et l'innovation (PDG Heon-seong Kim, ci-après dénommé le « Centre d'Ulsan ») a annoncé que la société d'investissement LITHIWAY (PDG Hyeong-mo Jeong) a finalement été sélectionnée pour le programme Deep Tech TIPS Fast Track 2025 du ministère des PME et des startups.
Lithiway est une startup de haute technologie qui développe une solution « Energy Elixir » qui améliore considérablement les performances des matériaux de cathode, un matériau clé des batteries, en ajoutant seulement une petite quantité d'additifs, sans avoir à modifier du tout le processus de production de matériaux de cathode existant.
La solution de Lithiway est considérée comme une technologie innovante permettant non seulement aux fabricants de matériaux cathodiques, mais aussi aux fabricants de cellules de batterie, de faire d'une pierre trois coups : une durée de vie et une capacité accrues, une meilleure stabilité de charge/décharge et une compétitivité des coûts garantie par simple ajout d'additifs, sans modification des coûteuses installations de production de masse existantes. En particulier, elle peut être appliquée non seulement aux matériaux cathodiques à haute teneur en nickel (NCM), mais aussi aux batteries lithium-fer-phosphate (LFP).
« Litiway a identifié la cause de la réduction de la durée de vie des matériaux cathodiques et a développé un additif qui prévient leur détérioration », a déclaré Jeong Hyeong-mo, PDG de Lithiway. « Nous continuerons de développer notre technologie afin que divers fabricants de matériaux et de batteries puissent créer des produits plus performants et plus économiques. »
