클라우드 컴퓨팅 및 디지털 전환(DT) 전문 기업 이노그리드(대표 김명진)가 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI, 원장 방승찬)과 차세대 클라우드 기술 협력을 위한 사업협력 의향서(LOI)를 체결했다고 2일 밝혔다.
체결식은 7월 1일 이노그리드 본사에서 진행됐으며, 이노그리드 김명진 대표, ETRI 인공지능컴퓨팅연구소 조일연 소장 등 양측 관계자들이 참석했다. 이번 협약은 인공지능(AI)과 멀티·하이브리드 클라우드 기반의 기술 발전에 공동 대응하고, 국내 기술 중심의 경쟁력 있는 클라우드 솔루션 확보를 위한 협력의 일환으로 추진됐다.
최근 AI 반도체와 클라우드 생태계가 빠르게 고도화되면서, 다양한 환경에서 효율적으로 운영 가능한 통합 플랫폼에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 국내 클라우드 시장은 외산 솔루션 중심의 구조적 한계와 높은 라이선스 비용 문제 등으로 인해 국산 기술 기반의 자립형 생태계 구축 필요성이 제기되어 왔다.
이에 따라 이노그리드와 ETRI는 ▲멀티 클라우드 기반 사업화 모델 발굴 및 솔루션 개발 ▲AI 융합 클라우드 기술 공동 연구 ▲차세대 클라우드 관련 지식재산권 확보 등 R&D부터 상용화까지의 전 주기에 걸친 협력을 추진하기로 합의했다.
이번 협력은 과학기술정보통신부의 SW컴퓨팅산업원천기술개발사업 일환으로 진행 중인 ‘멀티 클라우드 관리 플랫폼 기술 개발’ 과제 결과물을 기반으로 하며, ETRI의 기술을 이노그리드의 클라우드 관리 플랫폼 ‘탭클라우드잇(TabCloudit)’에 적용해 1년 내 상용 제품 출시를 목표로 하고 있다. 이노그리드는 상용화 및 플랫폼 구현을 주도하고, ETRI는 멀티 클라우드 핵심 기술 지원을 담당할 계획이다.
이노그리드는 이번 협약을 계기로 국산 클라우드 솔루션의 경쟁력을 강화하고, AI 융합 클라우드 분야에서 공공과 민간 부문 모두가 활용 가능한 신뢰성 높은 플랫폼을 개발해 글로벌 시장 진출을 확대할 방침이다.
ETRI 조일연 소장은 “이번 협력은 공공 연구기관과 민간 기업 간 기술 연계를 통해 국내 클라우드 산업의 자립 기반을 다지는 중요한 사례”라며, “AI 융합 클라우드를 포함한 미래 핵심 기술의 민간 확산을 위한 지속적인 협력을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Innogrid and ETRI Sign LOI for 'Next-Generation Cloud Technology Cooperation'
Innogrid (CEO Myungjin Kim) , a cloud computing and digital transformation (DT) specialist, announced on the 2nd that it signed a letter of intent (LOI) for business cooperation with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI, President Seungchan Bang) for next-generation cloud technology cooperation.
The signing ceremony was held on July 1st at Innogrid headquarters, and was attended by Innogrid CEO Myungjin Kim, ETRI Artificial Intelligence Computing Research Institute Director Ilyeon Cho, and other officials from both sides. This agreement was promoted as part of cooperation to jointly respond to technological advancements based on artificial intelligence (AI) and multi-hybrid cloud, and to secure competitive cloud solutions centered on domestic technology.
Recently, as AI semiconductors and cloud ecosystems have rapidly advanced, the demand for integrated platforms that can operate efficiently in various environments is increasing. The domestic cloud market has been faced with structural limitations centered on foreign solutions and high licensing costs, which has led to the need to build an independent ecosystem based on domestic technology.
Accordingly, Innogrid and ETRI agreed to pursue cooperation across the entire cycle from R&D to commercialization, including ▲discovering multi-cloud-based business models and developing solutions ▲joint research on AI-integrated cloud technology ▲securing intellectual property rights related to next-generation clouds.
This collaboration is based on the results of the 'Multi-Cloud Management Platform Technology Development' project, which is being carried out as part of the SW Computing Industry Core Technology Development Project of the Ministry of Science and ICT, and aims to apply ETRI's technology to Innogrid's cloud management platform 'TabCloudit' and launch a commercial product within a year. Innogrid will lead commercialization and platform implementation, and ETRI will be in charge of supporting multi-cloud core technologies.
Through this agreement, Innogrid plans to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic cloud solutions and expand its presence in the global market by developing a reliable platform that can be utilized by both the public and private sectors in the AI convergence cloud field.
ETRI Director Cho Il-yeon said, “This collaboration is an important case that will establish a foundation for self-reliance in the domestic cloud industry through technological linkages between public research institutes and private companies,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate to spread future core technologies, including AI-integrated cloud, to the private sector.”

Innogrid (PDG Myungjin Kim) , spécialiste du cloud computing et de la transformation numérique (DT), a annoncé le 2 avoir signé une lettre d'intention (LOI) de coopération commerciale avec l'Institut de recherche en électronique et télécommunications (ETRI, président Seungchan Bang) pour une coopération en matière de technologie cloud de nouvelle génération.
La cérémonie de signature s'est tenue le 1er juillet au siège d'Innogrid, en présence de Myungjin Kim, PDG d'Innogrid, d'Ilyeon Cho, directeur de l'Institut de recherche en intelligence artificielle de l'ETRI, et d'autres responsables des deux parties. Cet accord s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une coopération visant à répondre conjointement aux avancées technologiques basées sur l'intelligence artificielle (IA) et le cloud multi-hybride, et à garantir des solutions cloud compétitives centrées sur les technologies nationales.
Récemment, avec l'essor rapide des semi-conducteurs d'IA et des écosystèmes cloud, la demande de plateformes intégrées capables de fonctionner efficacement dans divers environnements s'est accrue. Le marché national du cloud a été confronté à des limitations structurelles liées aux solutions étrangères et à des coûts de licence élevés, ce qui a nécessité la création d'un écosystème indépendant basé sur les technologies nationales.
En conséquence, Innogrid et ETRI ont convenu de poursuivre leur coopération sur l'ensemble du cycle, de la R&D à la commercialisation, y compris ▲la découverte de modèles commerciaux basés sur le multi-cloud et le développement de solutions ▲la recherche conjointe sur la technologie cloud intégrée à l'IA ▲la sécurisation des droits de propriété intellectuelle liés aux clouds de nouvelle génération.
Cette collaboration s'appuie sur les résultats du projet « Développement technologique d'une plateforme de gestion multicloud », mené dans le cadre du projet de développement technologique de base de l'industrie informatique logicielle du ministère des Sciences et des TIC. Elle vise à appliquer la technologie d'ETRI à la plateforme de gestion cloud TabCloudit d'Innogrid et à lancer un produit commercial d'ici un an. Innogrid pilotera la commercialisation et la mise en œuvre de la plateforme, tandis qu'ETRI sera en charge du support des technologies de base multicloud.
Grâce à cet accord, Innogrid prévoit de renforcer la compétitivité des solutions cloud nationales et d'étendre sa présence sur le marché mondial en développant une plate-forme fiable qui peut être utilisée par les secteurs public et privé dans le domaine du cloud de convergence de l'IA.
Le directeur de l'ETRI, Cho Il-yeon, a déclaré : « Cette collaboration est un cas important qui établira les bases de l'autonomie du secteur national du cloud grâce à des liens technologiques entre les instituts de recherche publics et les entreprises privées », et a ajouté : « Nous continuerons de coopérer pour diffuser les futures technologies de base, y compris le cloud intégré à l'IA, au secteur privé. »
