서울바이오허브 입주기업 백스다임(대표 김성재)은 특허청과 한국특허전략개발원이 주관하는 ‘2025년 특허로 R&D 전략지원 사업’에 선정됐다고 3일 밝혔다.
백스다임은 미생물 기반 단백질 항원 신속 생산 원천기술을 보유한 백신 전문 기업으로, 이번 사업을 통해 유전자재조합 합성항원 기반 일본뇌염 백신 개발 관련 기술의 지식재산권(IP) 확보에 본격적으로 착수할 계획이다. 주요 개발 범위는 생산용 세포주 구축, 배양·정제 공정의 최적화, 제형 조성물 개발 등을 포함한다.
해당 과제는 보건복지부 산하 백신실용화기술개발사업단(VITAL-Korea)이 추진하는 ‘2024년 필수예방접종 자급화’ 분야 내 일본뇌염 백신 개발 과제(총 10억 원 규모, 기업부담금 포함)와 연계되어 약 20주간 진행된다.
백스다임은 이번 지원을 통해 ▲선행 특허 분석을 통한 권리 회피 및 대응 전략 수립(1단계), ▲공정 개선과 신규 시장 진입을 위한 R&D 전략 제안(2단계), ▲기술 보호 및 미진입 분야 선점을 위한 신규 특허 창출 전략 마련(3단계) 등 3단계에 걸쳐 특허 기반 기술전략을 수립할 예정이다.
김성재 대표는 “서울바이오허브의 네트워킹 프로그램을 통해 IP 전략 수립의 중요성을 인식했다”며 “자체 원천기술인 ‘샤페나(Chaperna)’ 플랫폼을 기반으로 일본뇌염 백신 관련 핵심 기술의 지식재산권 확보에 집중할 계획”이라고 밝혔다. 이어 “이번 전략 수립은 기술 보호를 넘어 차세대 백신 시장 진입 및 글로벌 진출 기반 마련에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 덧붙였다.

Backsdime selected for '2025 Patent R&D Strategy Support Project'
Seoul Biohub resident company Backsdime (CEO Kim Seong-jae) announced on the 3rd that it was selected for the '2025 Patent R&D Strategy Support Project' hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Patent Strategy Development Institute.
Baxdime is a vaccine specialist company that possesses the original technology for rapid production of microbial-based protein antigens. Through this project, it plans to begin in earnest securing intellectual property rights (IP) for the development of a Japanese encephalitis vaccine based on genetically recombinant synthetic antigens. The main development scope includes the establishment of cell lines for production, optimization of the culture and purification process, and development of formulation compositions.
This project will be carried out for approximately 20 weeks in conjunction with the Japanese encephalitis vaccine development project (total of 1 billion won, including corporate contribution) within the ‘2024 Essential Vaccination Self-Sufficiency’ field promoted by the Vaccine Commercialization Technology Development Center (VITAL-Korea) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
With this support, Backsdime plans to establish a patent-based technology strategy in three stages: ▲establishing a strategy for avoiding and responding to rights through prior patent analysis (Stage 1), ▲proposing an R&D strategy for process improvement and entry into new markets (Stage 2), and ▲establishing a strategy for creating new patents to protect technology and preempt unentered fields (Stage 3).
CEO Kim Sung-jae said, “Through Seoul Biohub’s networking program, we have come to realize the importance of establishing an IP strategy,” and “We plan to focus on securing intellectual property rights for core technologies related to Japanese encephalitis vaccines based on our own original technology, the ‘Chaperna’ platform.” He added, “We expect that this strategy will go beyond technology protection and contribute to entering the next-generation vaccine market and establishing a foundation for global expansion.”

バックスダイム、「2025年特許としてR&D戦略支援事業」に選定
ソウルバイオハブ入社業バックスダイム（代表キム・ソンジェ）は特許庁と韓国特許戦略開発院が主管する「２０２５年特許でＲ＆Ｄ戦略支援事業」に選ばれたと３日明らかにした。
バックスダイムは微生物基盤タンパク質抗原迅速生産源泉技術を保有したワクチン専門企業で、今回の事業を通じて遺伝子組換え合成抗原基盤日本脳炎ワクチン開発関連技術の知的財産権(IP)確保に本格的に着手する計画だ。主な開発範囲には、生産用細胞株の構築、培養・精製工程の最適化、製剤組成物の開発などが含まれる。
当該課題は、保健福祉部傘下ワクチン実用化技術開発事業団（VITAL-Korea）が推進する「2024年必須予防接種自給化」分野内の日本脳炎ワクチン開発課題（総10億ウォン規模、企業負担金を含む）と連携して約20週間進行される。
バックスダイムは今回の支援を通じて、▲先行特許分析を通じた権利回避及び対応戦略策定(1段階)、▲工程改善と新規市場進入のためのR&D戦略提案(2段階)、▲技術保護及び未進入分野先取りのための新規特許創出戦略策定(3段階)など3段階にわたって特許基盤の技術戦略を樹立する。
キム・ソンジェ代表は「ソウルバイオハブのネットワーキングプログラムを通じてＩＰ戦略樹立の重要性を認識した」とし「自ら源泉技術である「シャペナ（Ｃｈａｐｅｒｎａ）」プラットフォームを基盤に日本脳炎ワクチン関連核心技術の知識財産権確保に集中する計画」と明らかにした。続いて「今回の戦略樹立は技術保護を超え、次世代ワクチン市場への参入およびグローバル進出基盤の構築に貢献すると期待する」と付け加えた。

Backsdime入选“2025年专利研发战略支持项目”
首尔生物枢纽入驻企业Backsdime（代表金成宰） 3日宣布，被选为由韩国专利局和韩国专利战略发展院主办的“2025专利研发战略支持项目”。
Baxdime是一家疫苗专业公司，拥有快速生产微生物蛋白抗原的原创技术。该公司计划通过该项目，正式启动基于基因重组合成抗原的日本脑炎疫苗的知识产权（IP）开发。主要开发内容包括生产用细胞株的建立、培养和纯化工艺的优化以及制剂成分的开发。

Backsdime sélectionné pour le « Projet de soutien à la stratégie de recherche et développement en matière de brevets 2025 »
La société résidente du Seoul Biohub , Backsdime (PDG Kim Seong-jae), a annoncé le 3 qu'elle avait été sélectionnée pour le « Projet de soutien à la stratégie de R&D en matière de brevets 2025 » organisé par l'Office coréen de la propriété intellectuelle et l'Institut coréen de développement de la stratégie des brevets.
Baxdime est une entreprise spécialisée dans les vaccins qui possède la technologie originale de production rapide d'antigènes protéiques d'origine microbienne. Grâce à ce projet, elle prévoit d'acquérir sérieusement les droits de propriété intellectuelle (PI) nécessaires au développement d'un vaccin contre l'encéphalite japonaise basé sur des antigènes synthétiques génétiquement recombinants. Le principal objectif de développement comprend la création de lignées cellulaires pour la production, l'optimisation des procédés de culture et de purification, ainsi que le développement de compositions de formulation.
Ce projet sera réalisé pendant environ 20 semaines en collaboration avec le projet de développement d'un vaccin contre l'encéphalite japonaise (d'un montant total de 1 milliard de wons, y compris la contribution des entreprises) dans le cadre du domaine « Autosuffisance vaccinale essentielle 2024 » promu par le Centre de développement des technologies de commercialisation des vaccins (VITAL-Korea) relevant du ministère de la Santé et du Bien-être.
Avec ce soutien, Backsdime prévoit d'établir une stratégie technologique basée sur les brevets en trois étapes : ▲ établir une stratégie pour éviter et répondre aux droits par le biais d'une analyse des brevets antérieurs (étape 1), ▲ proposer une stratégie de R&D pour l'amélioration des processus et l'entrée sur de nouveaux marchés (étape 2), et ▲ établir une stratégie pour créer de nouveaux brevets afin de protéger la technologie et de préempter les domaines non encore exploités (étape 3).
Le PDG Kim Sung-jae a déclaré : « Grâce au programme de réseautage de Seoul Biohub, nous avons pris conscience de l'importance d'établir une stratégie de propriété intellectuelle. » Il a ajouté : « Nous prévoyons de nous concentrer sur la sécurisation des droits de propriété intellectuelle pour les technologies clés liées aux vaccins contre l'encéphalite japonaise, basées sur notre propre technologie originale, la plateforme « Chaperna ». » Il a ajouté : « Nous espérons que cette stratégie ira au-delà de la protection technologique et contribuera à pénétrer le marché des vaccins de nouvelle génération et à jeter les bases d'une expansion mondiale. »
