환경 스타트업 브이유에스(VUS)는 카카오모빌리티와 폐기물 수거·운반 산업의 디지털 전환을 위한 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 15일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 양사는 폐기물 수거 차량의 운영 효율성과 관제 정밀도를 높이기 위한 기술적 협력을 본격화할 예정이다. 브이유에스는 자사의 폐기물 수집·운반 솔루션 ‘망고(MANGO)’에 카카오모빌리티의 경로 최적화 기술을 적용하며, 길찾기 API 및 미래 운행 예측 기반 API 등을 연동할 계획이다.
양사는 이번 협력을 통해 ▲폐기물 수거·운반 업무의 자동화 및 고도화 ▲탄소 배출 저감 등 ESG 성과 창출 ▲공공 및 민간 부문 대상 솔루션 공급 확대 등의 효과를 기대하고 있다.
브이유에스는 AI 기반의 배차 최적화, 실시간 관제 기능을 갖춘 스마트 수거 시스템을 개발해 왔으며, 카카오모빌리티는 이를 통해 자사의 기술 인프라가 확장 가능한 ESG 분야에 적용되는 사례를 확보하게 됐다.

VUS signs business agreement with Kakao Mobility
Environmental startup VUS announced on the 15th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Kakao Mobility for the digital transformation of the waste collection and transportation industry.
Through this agreement, the two companies will begin full-scale technical cooperation to improve the operational efficiency and control precision of waste collection vehicles. VUS plans to apply Kakao Mobility’s route optimization technology to its waste collection and transportation solution ‘MANGO’ and link it with path-finding APIs and future operation prediction-based APIs.
Through this collaboration, the two companies expect to achieve the following results: ▲automation and advancement of waste collection and transportation work ▲creation of ESG performance such as reduction of carbon emissions ▲expanding the supply of solutions to the public and private sectors.
VUS has been developing a smart collection system with AI-based dispatch optimization and real-time control functions, and through this, Kakao Mobility has secured a case where its technology infrastructure can be applied to the scalable ESG field.

La startup environnementale VUS a annoncé le 15 avoir signé un accord commercial stratégique (MOU) avec Kakao Mobility pour la transformation numérique du secteur de la collecte et du transport des déchets.
Grâce à cet accord, les deux entreprises entameront une coopération technique à grande échelle pour améliorer l'efficacité opérationnelle et la précision de contrôle des véhicules de collecte des déchets.
