에스트래픽은 경찰 바디캠 도입 사업에서 KT가 총괄 수주사로 선정된 가운데, KT의 바디캠 공급 파트너로 참여해 전국 2,045개소에 총 14,000대의 고성능 바디캠을 공급한다고 24일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 경찰관 직무집행법 개정에 따라 바디캠 도입의 법적 기반이 마련되면서 추진됐다. 주요 목적은 AI 기반의 스마트 치안 인프라 고도화 및 사용자별 인공지능 활용을 위한 정보화 전략 계획(ISP) 설계에 필요한 데이터 수집이다.
에스트래픽은 과거 재난안전통신망 치안업무용 무선시스템 구축 사업에서 복합단말기(ST-PS20M)를 납품하고 유지보수한 경험을 바탕으로, 이번 사업에서도 KT와 협력해 고성능 하드웨어 단말기와 통신 기술을 기반으로 한 시스템을 제공할 계획이다.
이번에 공급되는 바디캠은 4K 해상도, 5G 통신망, 적외선 촬영, 배터리 교체가 가능한 Hot-Swap 기능 등을 탑재해 현장 대응력을 높이는 것이 특징이다. 영상 저장 및 관리에 필요한 관제 시스템은 후속 사업 단계에서 기능 정의 및 기술 협의가 진행될 예정이다.
에스트래픽은 이번 사업을 계기로 철도 통신 솔루션 등 기존 사업의 확대는 물론, 스마트 스테이션과 같은 차세대 교통 인프라 솔루션 개발에도 주력할 방침이다. 특히, 인공지능 기반의 통합 관제 시스템, 실시간 모니터링, 이상행동 감지 등 스마트 도시 인프라 구축을 위한 기술 개발에도 박차를 가하고 있다.
한편, 미국 법무부에 따르면 글로벌 바디캠 시장은 2024년 약 5조 5천억 원 규모에서 연평균 성장률(CAGR) 34.23%를 기록하며 2033년에는 약 57조 3천억 원 규모에 이를 것으로 전망된다.
에스트래픽 관계자는 “이번 바디캠 사업은 KT와의 협력을 통해 경찰 현장의 효율성과 안전성을 높이는 AI 기반 인프라 구축의 출발점이 될 것”이라며 “지속적인 기술 개발과 컨소시엄 협력을 통해 글로벌 경쟁력을 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Estrafic participates in police body cam supply business.. “Supplying 14,000 units in cooperation with KT”
Estraffic announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the general contractor for the police body camera introduction project and will be participating as KT's body camera supply partner to supply a total of 14,000 high-performance body cameras to 2,045 locations nationwide.
This project was launched as the legal basis for introducing body cameras was established by the revision of the Police Officers' Duty Execution Act. The main purpose is to collect data necessary for designing an information strategy plan (ISP) for the advancement of AI-based smart security infrastructure and the use of AI for each user.
Based on its experience in supplying and maintaining a composite terminal (ST-PS20M) for the past disaster safety communication network security work wireless system construction project, Estraffic plans to cooperate with KT in this project as well to provide a system based on high-performance hardware terminal and communication technology.
The body cam being supplied this time features 4K resolution, 5G communication network, infrared shooting, and Hot-Swap function that allows battery replacement, which enhances on-site response capabilities. The control system required for video storage and management will undergo functional definition and technical consultation in the subsequent business stage.
With this project, Estrafik plans to focus on expanding its existing business, such as railway communication solutions, as well as developing next-generation transportation infrastructure solutions, such as smart stations. In particular, it is also accelerating the development of technologies for building smart city infrastructure, such as AI-based integrated control systems, real-time monitoring, and abnormal behavior detection.
Meanwhile, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, the global body camera market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 34.23% from approximately KRW 5.5 trillion in 2024 to approximately KRW 57.3 trillion in 2033.
An Estrafic official said, “This bodycam project will be the starting point for building AI-based infrastructure that will increase the efficiency and safety of police sites through cooperation with KT,” adding, “We plan to expand our global competitiveness through continuous technology development and consortium cooperation.”

Estraffic a annoncé le 24 qu'elle avait été sélectionnée comme entrepreneur général pour le projet d'introduction de caméras corporelles de police et qu'elle participerait en tant que partenaire fournisseur de caméras corporelles de KT pour fournir un total de 14 000 caméras corporelles hautes performances à 2 045 sites dans tout le pays.
Ce projet a été lancé suite à la révision de la loi sur l'exécution des missions des policiers, établissant le cadre juridique de l'introduction des caméras corporelles. Son objectif principal est de collecter les données nécessaires à l'élaboration d'un plan stratégique d'information (PSI) pour le développement d'une infrastructure de sécurité intelligente basée sur l'IA et son utilisation par chaque utilisateur.
Sur la base de son expérience dans la fourniture et la maintenance d'un terminal composite (ST-PS20M) pour le projet de construction d'un système sans fil de sécurité du réseau de communication de sécurité en cas de catastrophe, Estraffic prévoit de coopérer avec KT dans ce projet également pour fournir un système basé sur un terminal matériel et une technologie de communication hautes performances.
La caméra-piéton fournie cette fois-ci offre une résolution 4K, un réseau de communication 5G, la prise de vue infrarouge et une fonction Hot-Swap permettant le remplacement de la batterie, améliorant ainsi les capacités d'intervention sur site. Le système de contrôle nécessaire au stockage et à la gestion des vidéos fera l'objet d'une définition fonctionnelle et d'une consultation technique lors de la phase commerciale ultérieure.
Avec ce projet, Estrafik entend se concentrer sur le développement de ses activités existantes, telles que les solutions de communication ferroviaire, ainsi que sur le développement de solutions d'infrastructures de transport de nouvelle génération, telles que les gares intelligentes. Elle accélère également le développement de technologies pour la construction d'infrastructures urbaines intelligentes, telles que les systèmes de contrôle intégrés basés sur l'IA, la surveillance en temps réel et la détection des comportements anormaux.
