글로벌 코딩 학습 플랫폼 코드트리를 운영하는 브랜치앤바운드(대표 이승용)가 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2025 K-글로벌 해외진출 지원사업’에 최종 선정됐다고 6일 밝혔다.
K-글로벌 해외진출 지원사업은 정보통신기술(ICT) 분야 창의기업의 글로벌 시장 진출과 성장을 지원하는 사업으로, 선정 기업에는 해외법률·특허·회계·마케팅 컨설팅, 사업개발, 해외 IR, 테크매칭, 교육 세미나 등 다양한 지원 프로그램이 제공된다.
브랜치앤바운드가 운영하는 코드트리는 ‘코딩의 정석’으로 평가받는 체계적인 커리큘럼과 자체 개발한 진단 평가 시험 ‘코익(COEIC)’을 통해 학습과 평가를 연계한 교육 플랫폼이다. 이를 통해 학습자는 중도 포기 없이 지속적인 실력 향상이 가능하며, 기업과 대학은 객관적인 인재 평가 기준을 확보할 수 있다.
이번 지원사업 선정으로 코드트리는 미국 시장에서 마케팅과 해외 특허 등 다양한 지원을 받아 서비스 확장에 나설 계획이다. 지난해 10월 영문 서비스를 론칭하고 11월에는 미국 법인을 설립했으며, 해커톤, 강연, 미국 디스코드 커뮤니티 운영 등을 통해 현지 이용자와의 접점을 확대해왔다. 최근에는 미국 사용자 경험을 반영해 UI·UX를 현지화하는 작업도 진행했다.
올해 2월 열린 글로벌 온라인 코딩 캠프에는 미국, 캐나다, 인도 등 약 700명이 참가했으며, 캠프 수료 후 일부 참가자가 메타, AWS 등 글로벌 빅테크 기업의 코딩 테스트를 통과해 채용으로 연결되는 성과를 거뒀다. 앞으로는 현지 대학 및 기업과 협력 관계를 강화하고 국가별 학습 문화에 맞춘 로컬 전략을 추진할 예정이다.
브랜치앤바운드 관계자는 “미국 시장을 겨냥한 구체적인 로컬라이제이션 전략과 실행 계획이 선정에 중요한 역할을 했다”며 “AI 시대에 맞는 문제 해결 능력과 컴퓨팅 사고력을 중시하는 글로벌 교육 환경에 부합하는 플랫폼으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Branch & Bound Selected for the 2025 K-Global Overseas Expansion Support Project
Branch & Bound (CEO Seungyong Lee), which operates the global coding learning platform Codetree, announced on the 6th that it was finally selected for the '2025 K-Global Overseas Expansion Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
The K-Global Overseas Expansion Support Project supports the global market entry and growth of creative companies in the information and communications technology (ICT) field. Selected companies are provided with various support programs, including overseas legal, patent, accounting, and marketing consulting, business development, overseas IR, tech matching, and educational seminars.
CodeTree, operated by Branch & Bound, is an educational platform that links learning and assessment through a systematic curriculum recognized as the "Coding Standard" and the proprietary diagnostic assessment test, "COEIC." This platform enables learners to continuously improve their skills without giving up, while providing companies and universities with objective criteria for evaluating talent.
With this funding, Codetree plans to expand its services in the US market, receiving support for marketing and overseas patents. The company launched its English service in October of last year and established a US subsidiary in November. It has been expanding its reach with local users through hackathons, lectures, and a US Discord community. Recently, the company has also localized its UI and UX to reflect the US user experience.
The Global Online Coding Camp, held in February of this year, attracted approximately 700 participants from the US, Canada, India, and other countries. After completing the camp, some participants passed coding tests at global tech giants like Meta and AWS, leading to employment opportunities. Going forward, we plan to strengthen partnerships with local universities and companies and pursue local strategies tailored to each country's learning culture.
A Branch & Bound representative stated, “Our specific localization strategy and implementation plan targeting the U.S. market played a significant role in our selection,” adding, “We will strive to establish ourselves as a platform suited to the global educational environment that values problem-solving skills and computational thinking in the AI era.”

CodeTree, exploitée par Branch & Bound, est une plateforme éducative qui allie apprentissage et évaluation grâce à un programme systématique reconnu comme la « norme de codage » et au test diagnostique exclusif « COEIC ». Cette plateforme permet aux apprenants d'améliorer continuellement leurs compétences sans abandonner, tout en fournissant aux entreprises et aux universités des critères objectifs pour évaluer les talents.
Grâce à ce financement, Codetree prévoit d'étendre ses services sur le marché américain, en bénéficiant d'un soutien marketing et de brevets internationaux. L'entreprise a lancé son service en anglais en octobre dernier et a créé une filiale aux États-Unis en novembre. Elle a étendu sa portée auprès des utilisateurs locaux grâce à des hackathons, des conférences et une communauté Discord américaine.
