IT 서비스 전문기업 VNTG는 신임 최고기술책임자(CTO)로 김도완 CTO를 영입했다고 12일 밝혔다. 김 CTO는 회사의 기술 전략 전반을 총괄하며 플랫폼 및 SaaS 사업 전환 가속화를 담당할 예정이다.
김 CTO는 SK텔레콤, 달리웍스(공동창업), 바로고(부대표) 등에서 기술 리더십을 발휘해왔다. 바로고에서는 기술 총괄 부대표로서 기존 모놀리식 시스템을 클라우드 네이티브 마이크로서비스 아키텍처(MSA)로 전환해 일 100만 건 이상의 트랜잭션을 처리하는 안정적 플랫폼 구축에 기여했다.
그는 대기업의 안정적인 시스템 운영 경험과 스타트업의 빠른 실행력을 결합해 비즈니스 가치를 높이는 확장 가능한 기술 플랫폼 설계와 구축에 전문성을 갖춘 것으로 평가받는다.
VNTG는 김 CTO 영입으로 기존 SI/SM 사업의 기술력을 고도화하고, 재사용 가능한 플랫폼과 SaaS 모델로의 전환에 집중할 계획이다. 이를 위해 시스템 아키텍처 현대화, 데이터 기반 개발 문화 확립, AI 및 SaaS 핵심 기술 내재화 등을 추진할 예정이다.

As Vice President of Technology at Barogo, he contributed to the transformation of the existing monolithic system to a cloud-native microservices architecture (MSA), building a stable platform capable of processing over 1 million transactions per day.
